blacksheepmails waaaaaaaaait! i forgot to say that im... well, actually i wont say. am i male or female? ninja haha, i think i know well, i'm a math person, i guess... i'd rather not commit to anything, or rather, i'd rather not be held to something i don't consider myself much of a writer, and i listen to a lot of music and do play a lot of nintendo games i drive a lot, for school and work i don't know whether to conisider myself childish or mature, not because i'm in the middle, but because i'm at both extremes

hi there colonal mcmuffin!
i have to agree with you about the maturity thing though.
i flashed my newly minted university ID at the bus driver (i get free busing) and ran off the bus across the street to climb a tree today.
the fire hydrant was flooding the street today and i took a shower there... with clothing... and was a bad influence on my sister and her friends from daycare who did the same...
i always feel an unsuppressable urge to run the run way down/up an escalator.
yet i can use the most bombastically formal language that makes me sound like a geek. pretend the smiley wasnt crying. emo

My company specializes in controlled-release systems. I'm a chemist by education, and I would have gone into quantum chemistry if there were more money in it. I love discussing quantum theory and chemistry in general. I'm also interested in pushing the limits of the human body, so things like cybernetics and nootropics (smart drugs) excite me. I was also a huge space geek growing up, including things fictional (Star Trek, Star Wars) and non-fictional (NASA). I even went to Space Academy during the summer before 9th grade. I also play video games, mostly XBox 360 but some computer games too. I'll be up for talking about pretty much any scientific topic. biggrin I'm not science trained, but I am interested in these things. I look forward to seeing what you post smile

Greetings. I'm Anthon Michael Noire.
I switched majors in winter right before getting a 2 year transfer degree. My first major involved international relations, and I worked in the international office and worked briefly as an assistant interpreter for Japanese medical students touring our hospital.
I've got a fair grasp of history and philosophy, and graduated with honors. I'm currently transfering on scholarship to a research university and hope to pursue plasma physics or cosmology, although I'll probably fit more into the Theoretical or Nanotechnology field.
My course load until the next decade includes:

Hi,
I am Doctor Fate, 30 years old. With a degree in Maths, Masters in Environmental sciences and I'm finishing my PhD in fluid dynamics. Besides maths I love astronomy and, in the non-scientific edge of the spectrum, I love languages. I speak English and Spanish proficiently, am fluent in Italian and French and speak a bit of German.
I love anime, manga, comics in general, fantasy and sci-fi. But above all things I am a trekkie. And yes, Klingon is a real language.
Finally my personal philosophy: I am a geek, I am proud of being a geek. Being a geek is something that you should be proud of, it means you crave knowledge and you understand a little bit of the world.

Oh and not only is Klingon a real language, the Bible has been translated into it. I just exposed my Trekkie tendencies. smile
Also, for those of you who are interested, I'm a huge Kaiju fan. I've been watching all the Godzilla movies I can get my hands on lately. Some of them are so bad their painful but I still love them. Don't ask me to explain it.

My name is Randy. I'm male. I'm gay. I'm 18, going into my freshman year of college this September.
In high school I took as much science as I could... Biology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Geology. I plan to be a chemistry major, but we'll see for sure when I get through my first year. I've also gone through Calc AB, as far as math goes. I got straight A's the last two years of high school.
Outside of school, I like to write and practice French. The French language is one of my passions in life, and I'll probably be ((at least)) minoring in French. Oh, and I spend more time on gaia than I probably should. But oh well.

Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson. Hi, I'm a freshman at UC Berkeley, hoping to study mathematics. I've been here since 2003, and I love debunking paranormal claims. I don't like anime, I'm not gay, I'm not emo, I don't enjoy writing poetry, I don't post my personal problems on the internet to get sympathy. In those respects, I believe I'm different than most of gaia. They will, in fact, calm up.
