Peirs sounds alot cooler than picard and it fits for a water adept.

i stuck with piers for a long time but i always thought that picard was a cooler name. ya, piers is more of a water adept name but i like the name picard more! 3nodding xd

I much prefer the name Piers, but then that's probably because that's what I've always known him as. Picard just reminds me of startrek...

Heh, it would have been the other way around for me, since we were all hanging on TLA way before it was released in English... but I have other reasons for disliking Piers too, though it's true I'm far more used to Picard. I can read 'Piers' as Picard though... it can be funny sometimes. xd

Piers = Rock, Strong like a Rock, Firm, Steadfast - Greek
I like Piers a whole lot better. Like stated above, Piers is Greek in origin, and considering that Lermuria is actually inserted once in a while in the place of Atlantis. The long lost continent Atlantis where time is no object and they are ahead of us in technology... I do admit, Lemuria in the game is not the same as we would think of Atlantis, but still... Weyard seems to have a similar pattern to earth... during the time when it was thought that the earth was flat and that people, called adepts, could change different elements into gold through Alchemy.

As you can tell from my name, I like Piers more.
Usually I like the original Japanese names more, but I'm so used to his English name that it even p*sses me off... -_-;;; I actually want myself to like Picard more, but I can't make myself. I'm sure I'll get to like it eventually.
Yeah... and probably the reason I don't like Picard is that it reminds me of Star Trek which I horribly hate due to my brother's obsession (No offense to Star Trek fans...).

Griffinkhan kyarorain Picard all the way 3nodding Piers is such a lame pun... gonk I dislike it more on the way it sounds than the pun... Piers sounds like the name of some snobbish rich guy, sitting in a chair drinking wine and looking down his nose at the rest of the world. Whereas, the name Picard sounds like a person you could be friends with. picard sounds like a rich snotish freak, and piers sound like a cool, nice guy you can talk to.

I prefer Picard. I can't stand the English name.... I'd rather call him "Leon"... Picard sounds better anyway. Piers... sounds like some snobby rich guy.... Besides, "Pow Pow Piers" doesn't sound right!
