Wendy sat against the door glad the ship was finally moving. She tilted her head back and closed her eyes. She hadn't heard as much noise from inside her room in awhile. "Great maybe they've broken everything now...maybe they will start ripping up my mattress now." She said to herself. "Just great. Life of a pirate though I suppose. No matter what I do things always seem to end up like this. I try to ask nice, I try to act civil to these people and what do they do? Rip up my room. Family too. If they had just cooperated thing would not have ended up like this but noooo..." She continued mumbling to herself like this while the crew continued with their own business, not daring to bother the captain in her rank.

Darin came up to Farris and waited, hat in hands, for the First Mate to notice him.
"Wha be ye worry?" Farris asked Darin. Eyes on the water.
"Well...um...Farris-"
"Aie?"
"Well...that cap'ion be a mumbling to 'erself and sitting with 'er back to 'er door." he turned the hat. "T'ain't natural...we...was a thinkin ye could talk to her...Since yer the only one who can talk sence into 'er since-since well...ye know." Darin looked at the deck and waited for the First Mate's responce.
Farris nodded and sighed. "Man the wheel." He said and walked below deck.
Farris walked up to her and sat down next to her. He looked at the oposite wall and hummed a drinking song Dan had taught them when they were young. "You okay?" He said softly for here ears only.

Wendy let out a breath and pulled her knees in closer to her. "Yeah I'm fine...." She said and ran her fingers back through her hair. "Just been a long day."

Farris reached for her hand and brushed her fingers with his. "I'm sorry Wendy." he said and looked away from her, ashamed at himself. "You are my best friend, my longest friend. I should not have treated you like that..." farris rested his head agaist the wall he was leaning on with a THUNK. She closed his eyes, annoind at himslef. "You don't have to forgive me...just know that I am sorry." He said and gaving her fingers a squeeze, her pushed himself fromt he wall and stood up.

Wendy looked up at him as he stood. She hadn't wanted to forgive him so easily, but she couldn't help it. He was her best friend. "Farris..." She said softly. "It's really not all your fault, or really your fault much at all. I should not have acted like it was and for that I'm sorry."

Farris smiled and his eyes crinkled. "Thank you." he mouthed and he sank down next to her. He leaned hsi head aggaisnt the wall and looked at her. "So..what are we goign to do abou them??" I think we can now be consitered kidnapers along with thiefs and rouges." he said, a sly smile on his face.

Wendy looked at the door and smiled a bit too. "Me? A kidnapper? Never! I just really love my little brothers...they're gonna find that out once they get out of that room." Wendy said grinning as she thought of all the ways she could make their lives miserable.
"However, I figure that as soon as we get far enough away from shore that they won't try and swim for it, we'll let them out and see how the feel about negotiating then."

Farris nodded and smiled. "Yes that shouln't be to long from now. But it seem like they have stoped distroying you room." He siad and closed his eyes. "I wonder if they found anything interseting?" he said and grinned.

Wendy nodded slightly. "Maybe..." She said softly her eyes more on the setting sun now. It had always been her favorite time of day. Her eyes gleamed as she looked over the shades of blue and purple that now painted the sky and she smiled dreamily, the sun's last rays glowing on her cheeks. "Beautiful, isn'ti it?"

Farris nodded and smiled, this had always been his favorite tiemof day also. Whatever gamme they had been palying or lession they had been learing...they had always stopped to watch the sun set. It was strange, after a day of fighting...they do somthing they havn't donein years. top and look at the sun set.
Farris turned to look at Wendy and smiled. The glow of the sun iluminated her face. He reached for her and turned her head to face him. leaning in, he kissed her gently on the lips, in full view of all the crew.

Wendy felt her heart skip a beat when his lips touched hers. A small voice inside told her to stop that she shouldn't be doing this and the crew was watching. She could not however hear it over the much louder voice in her head that was screaming "KISS HIM YOU FOOL!" She let her knees go and wrapped his arms around the back of his neck, pulling closer to him as she kissed him back.

Farris wanted to smile, but knew for experiance that it would brake the kiss, and he knew for a fact that he didn't want that. He moved his handfrom her cheek to her hair and ran his fingers through it. He could hear the comment the cew was making but didn't think much of it. In fact many of the crew had been tellinghim to kiss the caption for many a month now, the cook's voice being the loudest if he recaled right.

Wendy could hear the crew, but she was so caught up in the kiss that she didn't care. She moved forward and put a hand on Farris's chest to move him back against the wall. She put a leg on either side of Farris. Letting one hand stay around his neck she ran the other one up his chest under his shirt.

Farris was suprised, very suprised, to say the least. But he welcomed it. He, being 23, knew about women and was supised the Wendy was beignthis forward. He relished it, knowing ti was probaly the drinks she had had, so wouln't push her. He puled her close and wraped her hair around his fingers. Oh...thank you Wendy. he said silently.

After staring at the picture and re-reading the letter at least eight times the boys went over to the door and tried to find a way to get it open. Gregory smiled and chuckled softly. "I can pick it."
Gabriel smiled back and nodded and Gregory picked the lock on the door and opened it.....
