@Eviloverqueen: She did do the right thing, in my book as well. So you are not alone in that statement.
Pathological O_o? Explain? @Lexia_Starr: Hmm well in your case that is ok. Swaying unsure people is a good thing. But if his mind was set that would be the wrong thing to do.

He was fairly certain he wanted them. He talked about it a lot in the begining. But, as I said, many people simply think they have to. I wasn't saying to torture brainwash her, I was simply stating a commonality that may have been of use.

I mean it's such so extreme it could be attributed to a disease of some sort (In this case Borderline Personality Disorder). I HATE children. I wish them all dead. It's not exactly rational.

For some reason I always end up with people who want children.
I've been with my boyfriend for about a year now and he's a really intelligent guy. We have the same politcal affiliations (Communism whee ) and generally we are quite similar in our outlook on life (most people are a total waste of space...)
However, even though he holds these views, he still wants children. In our year together we've had about 8 or 9 out and out blazing rows about this. He says he wants something with his DNA which he can pass on all his knowledge to (how many times have we heard that? rolleyes )
His latest thing is to follow me around the house saying "Birthing pool" at me (we watched the episode of Only Fools and Horses where Del Boy has his son - dunno if anyone's seen it, but I had to go out of the room because I felt physically sick). It drives me nuts. He does it untill I scream at him to shut up and that nothing living will ever be emerging from my womb. Them I'M the bad guy domokun
The worst thing happened a few weeks back - I went for a hospital scan to see if I had Poly-cystic ovaries (I don't and am quite upset about it...) He said that if I did have it, he wanted me to stay at my parent's house that night whilst he drank himself into a stupor. When I asked why he would do such a thing, he replied "Because then I know for sure that I'll never have kids." At this I asked him why my assertion that I did not want and would never have children was not good enough he made thr awful mistake of trotting out the "Oh but you might have changed your mind one day" line. Cue another blazing row.
Why oh why do the men in my life always want children? Most of them don't like them or enjoy their company. So why? gonk gonk gonk

All I know is that I do not want kids. And I am sticking to my beliefs that if I get a female in my life and she wants kids we are not meant to be.

It just annoys me when people who want children trample all over the feeling and opinions of those who don't. And worse! that most people feel they are validated in doing so domokun

Rawwwrr..New bf, because the last one was an a*****e in nice-guy clothing.
He's undecided..and that makes me cry because I don't want to have to fight with him about it. I'd actually be upset if I lost him because of a want for kids.
I love him to little bits but there's no way I'm having kids, not even for him. He's willing to help get me "fixed" but if he drags something home from the orphanage..god help me! gonk
I hope I don't get pregnant in that space of time between the time we decide to break our vows of celibacy and the time I have this Essure thing done. I don't want him to find me sobbing in the corner of the bathroom floor over a pregnancy test and try and persuade me to keep it. That'd be..horrible!

And trust me my actions would convince anyone that I am serious about not having kids.

He hates the idea of having kids but if an accident happens..he doesn't like the idea of abortion..but I think his concern for my mental and physical health will override that. Tocophobia ftw..

O.o huh? Tocophobia, the phobia of pregnancy and childbirth. Whenever my period's late, even though I'm still a virgin, I have the fear that I could be pregnant, which sends me into a downwards spiral of suicidal depression. It really is an irrational fear..but when it takes a hold of you..you start to wonder if you were somehow knocked out/drugged and raped/whatever else could possibly happen..and it seems perfectly rational then. It's terrifying.
