Wow, there's a lot of Azula hate on here. O_O
Keep in mind that I haven't seen all of avatar yet, but I adore Azula. She kicks a lot of butt, and is a really cunning, powerful, intelligent villain. What's not to love?
Okay, yeah, if she was a real person I obviously wouldn't be a big fan of hers, but as a fictional character? She's great!
I've never understood fictional-character-hate. I mean, really. Hate is an awfully strong word for someone who isn't real.
I also don't know why I always end up liking all the characters that everyone else hates. Seems to be a habit I'm developing.

She's cynical, kniving, and malicious. Just my kind of gal! Of course, I don't really like the fact that she tried to kill the gaang. Yeah. That kidna knocked her down a couple of notches on my list...

Azula is amazing.
I do love Azula, and she's pretty much my favorite Avatar character.
I like all the hypocrisies from the Zuko fangirls in this thread who can still obsess over Sefo Hotman when he's chasing the Gaang, but hate Azula for the same thing.

Ehehe, well admittedly I hate how mean she is to Zuko, but her maniacal-ness just kinda strikes a cord with me, being a fellow ebil. >w< I just love her attitude XD Her ebilness is probably what makes her so amusing, actually heart Plus you just can't help but respect her, ne?

I dislike her actions, but she is a favourite character of mine because she is so evil smile . If they could create a character which people "en masse" dislike then they've created a fantastic character.
When I think like that, that makes me really like her because she's a well developed character smile .

Azula is EVIL pure and simple. She's a power hungry monster that is perfectly happy to kill anyone in her way even her own brother. She manipulative, cold-hearted, dishonorable bi***.
However all these things make her quite frankly one of the best villians I have ever seen. She is simply just someone you just absolutely love to hate. heart heart heart
I can't wait to see what she does next

Personaly, I love Azula. She is beautiful (with her hair down), powerful, and doesnt stop until she has exactly what she wants. Awsome character! And no one could deny that the show would crumble and die if she was good. You need to have amazing villains of amazingness to have a good show! The kind of villain that is cunning and just bad to the freakin bone. You also need villains that are going to stay villains...... you know who I am talking about.... heart

One of my predictions of Azula is pretty much a given. I mean like others I did not like her at all from the beginning, but after watching her throughout the series it's now obvious that she is incredibly jealous of Zuko. Not only did their Uncle and mother favor him more than her, but now even her friends have turned their backs on her by helping him escape...well, Mei mostly.
That explains a lot why she acts the way she does around others, especially towards Zuko who is a major source of her behavior.
One of the best episodes that showed Azula's subconscious feelings and desires was the one with the beach. I liked this episode not only because you find out more about her personally, but because you get to see that deep down Azula is just like any other teenage girl who starves for attention and approval.
Sadly all of this crashes down on her and lead her to the point of violent insanity from the look of the coming episode. I won't be surprised if she loses it and spills out all her rage and anguish out on Zuko upon their next meeting.
She sort of reminds me of the mad Hamlet from Shakespeare.
On the night when those silver eyes trembled/you were born
