It seemed that the only light around was at Fabian's dugout. Aiden stayed indoors, at the foot of the cot watching Blair squirm."she'll be alright. soon it'll pass and she'll be fine once again."He patted the falcon and set to work on a spear.

Amense turned and ran as far as she could, but it only got darker the further she went. I cant make light... but what about an illusion of light? Maybe this Norcus fellow isnt smart enough to know the difference... She thought as she ran over to where she thought she saw water.
Cupping her hands in the cold water she whispered something and a small lantern appeared in her hands, light not with a fire but a small orb of light. Amense held the lantern high and walked slowly back to where Rein was.

Rein was far gone by the time Amense got back there, he ran past what ever he saw, his legs grew tired, sweat dripped down his face, it was hard to see from blurryness, and the Norcus was still behind him, in one last struggle of effort, he tried to put off a little light, just enough to send the norcus running, a small ball of light appeared in his hand as he threw it at the Norcus, it screeched and ran away as he fell on the ground, hit his head on a rock, and was knocked out for a while

Amense held the lamp up as she searched the area. "Why isnt he here any more?" She whispered to herself.

Rein, who thought he had ran in a straight line, had run in a circle, the norcus following him, after he threw the light ball, the norcus didn't run away, it ran toward another area, and saw a lantern as it started screeching again

"Rein! There you are!" Amense called out, holding her lantern high as she saw Rein.

Rein couldn't reply, he was knocked out, the Norcus stopped screaching from the light, but ran away to regain its strength

Amense gave the lantern to Knot, who held the handle firmly in his teeth. As Amsnes glanced around the area, she slipped her arms under Rein's shoulder and dragged him away from the place, in the opposite direction the Norcus went. Knot followed Amense faithfully until they reached the top of a hill, the hill thick with trees, when Knot set the lantern down on a stump. Amense leaned Rein against a rock and began making a small, temporary, shelter.

Rein suddenly, but weakly, jolted awake, though not making any sound, he saw Amense constructing a shelter for him, he smiled and stood up, and walked out slowly as to not show his limp "Amense" he said "how'd you get rid of the norcus without light?" he asked, the night was still black

Amense shrugged. "I dont know, really." She said quietly and finished constructing the low door, camoflaging it so that it couldnt bee seen unless one knew where to look for it.

Rein was still sapped of his magic, and needed the light of the sun or moon to get it back, his voice still sounded weak "that was the closest the norcus has ever gotten to me" his shaky voice sounded as if he had seen a ghost "lost all magic that time" he said this time saying it under his breath as if he was trying to make it so Amense wouldn't hear

Despite that, Amense did hear, but gave no visible sign that she did.

Rein was still exhausted, he knew he couldn't sleep, but he could barely stand up, he didn't really notice how she constructed the shelter, but he sat against one of the walls as his eyes grew heavy, and soon drifted him to sleep

~Blair's dream continued.
"You shall learn the way of the Squirrel."
"yes, sir."
"Now i want you to put these on."He handed her a pair of funny looking glasses.
She took them then she began to analize them. She found no magical powers eminating from them nor did they look special."and what shall these do? make me look silly?"
"no. just put them on and follow me outside."
She placed them on and got up and went out to find the man outside where she didn't leave him. 'odd...'she thought.
"now go over to that tree and climb it."
For some reason when she approached the tree, the tree seemed alot bigger than it was a few seconds ago. infact either it had grown or she had shrunk!~
