YAY for new reading material! Are you really lacking in that department? I could always shovel out a few more Recommended Reading on the list....which reminds me that I need to update that...0.o

well, while we're on the subject... i'll fully admit to being really horrible about actually following up on the recommended reading list. without joking, i have a horrible habit of washing my clothes while the pockets are full of scraps of paper and sticky notes full of stuff i should read, or i should listen to, or i should get around to doing... >.< i'm really absent-minded like that.

to top it all off, i'm a warcraft player... so a lot of my time that i should spend enriching myself is spent playing games with friends razz

which is why i really need things that are an absolute 'must-read' to be shoved in my face! xd

Oh snap, no way! You're a WoW player! Heh. I know a few of those. They don't get outside much.

I understand that absent minded-ness, I do that too >.< Or I get so distracted by something I'll completely forget. Sometimes I'll walk into a room, get distracted and then stand there for a few minutes and trying and figure out why I was there in the first place, heh.

-goes back to writing her argument paper on why table-top D&D is more rewarding than PC games which is due in a few hours-

i do too get out often! gonk i have a job and a demanding girlfriend, i really don't have a choice... but lemme know where i can get a class in which i can write papers debating D&D with PC games! biggrin

Haha, it was just my English 101 class. She let us choose the topic and after days and days of coming up with lots of different topics, I finally decided to use "Tabletop D&D is more rewarding than PC games". biggrin

i thought it was pretty amazing! biggrin what i really liked was that they cleaned up the action scenes a little. my only complaint about the second film was that the sequences seemed (imo) to go on for just a touch too long, maybe just a minute or two. but i did notice that i found myself surprised while watching the second one that we were still on the same scene. aaaaaanyways, i loved the 3rd one and will be going to see it again shortly. of course, my friends and i were arguing about whether the young child at the end was a boy or girl, and of course jack's reaction to will getting stabbed and whatnot. uh, that last little bit is a spoiler of sorts, so don't read it if you don't want to know what happens!

anyways, what did you think, P-mind?
PostPosted: Fri Jun 08, 2007 11:19 pm

Haha, I enjoyed the film but agree with some of my friends that they seemed to be trying to tie off everything too quickly. Granted, this was supposed to be the last of the Pirates movies and everything, so tying things off was the point, but it seemed...rushed. I enjoyed the ending though because they can leave it as is or even take it further (though I think 3 Pirates films is just about enough, heh). And then the Elizabeth/Will scenario appeased me because they nevered seemed like your normal couple anyway, ya know? Plus, I think we all knew Jack wouldn't have done what he said he was going to do! He can't bare to be tied to much of anything, heh.
