"Ha ha very funny," Kai and Mikey walked back in each glaring at Gerard. "You spoiled the moment. I never do that to you," Mikey swatted him on the head. Gerard gave a soft yelp and Kai laughed. "Baby," she said. Gerad pouted and chased her out of the room and down the halll. "Help!" she screamed Mikey chased off Gerard down the hall. "Now I know she is gorgeous, but she is mine," mikey screamed at his brother. He laughed. He ran up to Kai's room to see the door shut with Gerard picking the lock. 'Give me that," Mikey said. "I ahve picked your room too many times to count," he said and began picking the lock. "Done," he said and opened the door to reveal a very startled and topless Kai. She yelped and covered herself up with a sheet.

Mikey laughed as Kai put her shirt back on. "I really didn't mind you seeing, it is Gerard I am worried about," Kai said nervously. "Let's just keep this between us," Mikey said before pulling her into a kiss again. "Our dirty little secret,' Kai laughed and layed down on her bed. "Its just kind of weird for like your best friends boyfriends to well 'see' you," Mikey hugged her. "Don't worry about it. Gerard is a good guy. He wouldn't do anything to hurt Nia," He kissed her again and walked out the door. He came back several minutes. "Can I stay here? I forgot my house keys." "Do you even have to ask?" Kai smiled and set up a bed for Mikey on the floor. He borrowed some of her pants and fell asleep while watching her sleep as he sat next to her.

Mikey woke up with a sticky note on his head.

went to class. I finnish honors bio at 5. You can stay here if you want. I will be back a soon as I can,

Mikey glanced over at the sketchbook Kai always had hidden in the corner of her room

"Hmmm," he thought. He reached for it and began to flip through the pages. Most of them seemed to have a story. Usually the lyrics to one of MCR's songs. Most of them were demolition lovers.

Then he came to the last page of the book. He had been fllipping through balck pages for a while, when he found a picture of several caskets simeltaneouly being lowered into the ground. There was a girl that appeared to be Kai standing there, just watching and crying as they were lowered into the ground. And then he spoke to himself, "What does this one mean?"

Mikey decided to go and look for Gerard. He was one of the artsy dark types. He might understand this. As he found him and Nia in the courtyard he showed them. He had nno clue at all. Mikey frowmed. He really wanted to know. But that was when Kai walked up. "What is this Kai? You don't need to tell me if you don't want to but it is just so deep," Kai took a deep breath in. Mikey looked deep into her eyes and new that she was in pain. "That is probably the deepest one in my book." she said. "When I was 12 I began to get into rock music and my family didn't really like that. every year I got deeper and deeper into and they shunned me more and more out of their lives. I was gone from the family when they sent me here. I needed to have my own apartment to get away becuase they wouldn't care for me. I turned 18 in August and that is when all hope that they loved me and all their beliefes in me died. They died and left me here, the symbolisim of..... that..... picture!" Kai cried and fell into Mikey's chest bursting into tears. Mikey rubbed his hands up and down her back, "Shhhhh," he whispered. She looked up at him and said straight into his eyes, "You don't know how good that feels to let someone know that. Your the only people I have ever told. It feels great to be loved again." She held onto Mikey tightly as he sat down on the grass with her still crying in his arms.

Mikey still trying to calm Kai asked "What do you wanna do now?" Kai suddenly looked up, a single flame of hope beating in her eyes. "Do you know any good tatooists in this area?" she asked. "Cause I'm getting one,"

"Alrighty, that's it then. Gerard, call the boys cause we are getting tats and I need the guys there." Kai said. Gerard pulled out his cell and dialed without hesitation and hung up several minutes later. "They are gonna meet us there," he said. They then drove to the tatoo parlor and sat down waiting for the rest of the band. "Whatcha' gonna' get," mIkey asked, looking over Kai's shoulder at the tatoo design book. "Nothing here," she smirked. "I'm gonna get 'My parents may have forgotten me ,but my friends never will' in cursive on my lower back next to the picture of all of us from that photobooth in the mall with all of your signatures at the bottom." Kai smiled and hugged Mikey. The artist had just finnished her design and was showing it to her when everyone began to swarm and take a look at it.

"I like it!" Kai smiled for the first time that day. She then walked over to the tatooist's chair and hunched herself over. "Let's do this."

A tingle was sent through her body as the needle injected the colorful ink into her skin. She sat thinking about how her family would think. No, they wouldn't think. They disowned her. She was 18. She didn't need to see them anymore. After that thought she smiled with even more glee and took the pain of the needle in her skin.

Nia's took alot less time, so she was watching the process of Kai's for a long time. After she was bandgaed up, Kai hugged Mikey and told him, "Thank you for opening my eyes more than anyone else ever had." She didn't need him to say anything to know what he was thinking as well. Frank walked up to Kai. "I didn't think that you would do that I mean, you must be really strong." He smiled and ran off to his car. Kai thought for a moment and said, "All I need is a ferris wheel ablaze to make this the best day ever. Well, more of a best day than it already is," She looked up at her friends and ran towards the car.

Kai sat down, spreading herself across the back seat of the car. "Something relaxing.... My back really hurts now," She rubbed the bandaged part of her back proudly. "How about an anime maraton or something? Naruto work,"
