I figured out my argument!
Ownage is more like sports in general then just one sport in particular.
Some of us (like Kotori and Mooo) are better at basketball(regular ownage) then others.
But others (like you) are better at baseball (cute ownage) then those that are good at basketball. (Jordan, if i remember correctly, was a horrible baseball player)
If someone is good at Baseball and Rugby (cute and random) then they should be allowed to play both sports.

You know, I'm not the greatest debater in the world, but there's a hole in that logic big enough to drive a space station through......and I think I'll do just that. 3nodding  Your argument holds water only under the assumption that a game, which has the same rules, the same format, and the same media requirements, is in fact several different games which have different rules(as a counter example we all follow the "red x" and the "no double picture" rules), follows a wide variety of formats (pictures to attack/pictures to defend?), and uses different media to play (it doesn't matter what the pictures are of they are still pictures, you don't get to use a hokey puck to play baseball with). As picture battling is essentially the same regardless of style, your argument is void.

This is why I like the martial arts example better.
the only reason you are finding flaws in my logic (I like having holes in my logic anyway) is because were using sports as an exmple.
ownage is more like martial arts. as you said, the general guidelines are about the same but they are distinct styles of ownage. you can practice multiple styles of ownage, and you can practice multiple styles of martial arts.
