::she cursed quietly in draconic tongue, her jade eyes narrowing on the stranger that emerged from the blackness of the Void. Her senses were correct, but what it didn't tell her how dangerous this man was. She wondered whether to flee, or to confront him. He seemed like a man of great power, and, if she worded her dialogue correctly, maybe she could pry some information where a shard could possibly be located.

Silently, she slipped away from the bushes, and made herself look like she was strolling obviously into the woods - trying to cover up that she had not been hiding or spying at all.::

Vizierre snapped his head as he heard leaves crunching from behind him. He turned and looked at the figure walking towards him. He went to grip his sword but he remebered he was missing an arm. He dropped his hand and stared at the figure who drew nearer and glared in the darkness of his helmet.

::she remained her cool mien, even if the dragon screeched warning of the fearsome sword at his sides. This is when her thief and rogue skills came into play; she was a peddler of charm, anyway. In admist of Black Rapture, her intimidated self was pushed away in a dark corner of her mind, leaving the aggressive, dangerously seductive yet stoically cool, come into the scene.::

Hey...didn't know there were others still wandering about these woods...Do you know where the Druid ruins are?

Vizierre looked at her and grinned devilishly

"I might..." Vizierre turned his head and noticed his armless shoulder was showing. He quickly threw his cloak over it and looked towards the female.

Vizierre sat down on a rock. he put his hand on his lap and flickered his tail around.

"The druid temple... is north west from here..."

Vizierre remembered that he had felt a presence before he even entered his portal which was why he paused before going in. He assumed it was her.

::she nodded understandingly, her eyes locking into the obscured eyes...as her dragon snse washed over him, trying to pick apart every fiber of his body, understand it, estimate how powerful he was just in case she would have to go immediately to the offensive. She easily managed a charmed smile.:: Splendid...sir, if it wouldn't trouble you, do you mind if you could escort me there? ::...which would leave an opening for interrogation.::

"Fine..." he said darkly.

He drew his sword from its sheath and began walking in the direction of the temple. As he moved the ground shook slightly and his chain on his arm dragged on the ground.

"Come... its this way..." Vizierre said.

He decided wait til the were secluded then decide what he would do with her. She obviously didn't recognize him so he hindered his power to make himself look weaker and surprise her if she thought of doing somthing. Besides she might have some information on the shard of darkness.

::she sauntered at his pace, attempting to manage an innocent and demure image; though Black Rapture still remained beneath teh skin, greedy and pontentially aggressive as ever. She wanted to ask him about the portal, but the dragon whispered that now wasn't the time to rush for information - he was weak, but there was something up...something just didn't...seem to add up.::

I appreciate it. Thank you so much. ::she paused, and the charm began to slither on again.:: Oh man...I'm sorry, I haven't even introduced myself...my name is Rapture...and what's yours?
PostPosted: Sat Oct 09, 2004 11:04 pm

He figured she would not know of his legend so he felt no harm in his name. But if she did then he would end the charade and confront her to his level. He turned his head towards he and let out a sigh.

"Its Vizierre..." he said.

::she continued to smile, though the dragon was making note of his every moment, looking for an in of what he was hiding.:: Pleased to meet you Vizierre....can I call you Vizzy for short? I'm afraid I might not remember such an unique name...

::she thought hard, trying to recall when was the last time she had heard it; for the first time in a while, she damned her draconic pysche for taking in such useless information like how many trees were in a forest, or how many clothes were in a shop, how many cats in a town, etc...than actually storing useful information.::

So...a lot of weird things have been happening a lot...With monsters running rampant, the shards breaking and everything...have you heard about that?

Vizierre thought it would be best to play along and lie.

"You talking about that old crystal in the mountains..." he said cluelessly, lying through his teeth, " Is that why your heading there?"

"As for monsters I haven't come across any yet though they say demons from another realm have been roaming about on this continent."

He continued walking and waited for her to respond.

She turned her head and studied Mouse instead of the town. It held no interest to her. No town or village ever really did. Her home was the forests and mountains. Neither did the sunset catch her attention at this moment.
"Mouse...It doesn't matter if you are able or not to capture the image of the sunset in any form. And neither are these townsfolk lucky for seeing such a magnificent sight every evening. What matters is whether or not they stop and appreciate it. You do. Every time, in your heart. That's where you capture it, always."
She had stopped and placed her hand over his heart, and the sudden jolt made her take a step back. She used whatever resources she had and stopped the flow of images. She would not see them. They were not hers to see in the first place.
To fight against this, her hand was back over his heart, placed gently there, and warmly.
"There's nothing else more beautiful than that."

It was well after sunset when Aeife reached the outskirts of her village. It looked the same as it always had... Nothing changed. A wave of nostalgia swept over her suddenly, causing tears to form in her eyes. Her grandparents... What would they say if they saw her again? And the elders, what would they think of her return?

Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to return afterall. Different scenarios flashed through her mind. Maybe the village elders would cast her out in exile this time. She had left when there was talk of a sudden council meeting, and by the way people looked at her, it was most obviously about her and her folly of leading Necros to their small town. What was the ruling in her absence, if any at all?

But maybe it wasn't as bad as she was thinking it to be. N'woye, the eldest of the elders, had taken a liking to her when she was still young. But now that she knew who she really was and where she came from... Maybe it was only because she was the daughter of a God and Druid. Even though she was still far too young to even be considered a member of the council, there always used to be talk of her being N'woye's successor when he passed.

How was the old man doing, anyhow?

Rather than draw attention to herself before it was neccessary, she made her way to her grandparent's home through back-ways. Though these paths were still pretty much in the center of everything, there was less chance of being noticed. Most of the farmers and their families were inside their homes eating the evening meal anyhow. So she made her way to her house virtually undetected.

As if expecting her return, her grandparents were sitting on their front step in their respective chairs... They watched Aeife approach and dismount without much surprise, it seemed. Standing only when she was some three feet away. They were smiling, of course, but it was something of an expectant smile.

"Grandmama... Grandpapa..."

Aeife held Luc's reins, speaking as if she were five years old again. Her eyes stayed the tears she wanted so desperately to release. Her grandparents simply smiled, her grandmother speaking in the kind and caring voice Aeife knew from childhood.

"Welcome home, Grandbaby."

I understand what you mean by keeping the image close to treasure... But in a way, that itself is selfish. While I may be able to treasure that moment, I cannot share it with any others. Some moments are just better when shared with the rest of the world through some form or fashion.

*Mouse sighed, taking his mind away from the skyline.*

~I guess it's apparent by now that my loneliness is quite apparent. Either that or my need to wander... It's been a while since I've seen sights like these... Maybe I should start wandering trails again. If nothing more it should throw the demons off my trail or keep them away from my home for a while. But for right now... getting some shelter for the night is in order.~

Caliesil watched Mouse and Acryn from a cloud high in the sky. "Aww isn't that sweet." he said as he began to laugh. Caliesil had been awya for quite a while it seemed a few thing's had changed though not much. He was almost laying on the cloud but in reality he was only just floating in the air and the cloud was below him. he just liked the idead of being able to lay down on a cloud. "Now to break up this little moment or not?" he asked himself then decided yes. but he would not make it to obvious. He pulled out a cherry. well it was cherry bomb a fun little infention he had found in the advanced human cites which he didn't like to visit much. he lit it a fire and the dropped it. If his aim was on today it would land riht infront of the two love bird's.

"Selfish, for appreciating nature? Appreciating where your gift comes from, where you come from? If that's selfish, then it looks like I have to change my whole mindset."
She smiled at Mouse and continued walking toward the town of Quon. Admitting to herself that she was tired, and famished. But she immediately stopped when she saw a red ball land and bounce in front of them. What the..? Before she had time to finish her question of curiosity, the little ball exploded. Her arms raised quickly, and she turned toward Mouse, shielding him. It wasn't even a thought, just action. It's how she has always been, and how she was raised.
The explosion sent burning bits onto her back and scorched her skin. She didn't cry out. Her eyes were open and they stared at Mouse, without hurt, without fear. Only anger.
Using her new senses, she tilted her head upwards, the red swirling in her iris which she desperately tried to keep under control.
Unfortunately, she was failing.
