I'd like to be a doctor, I think. I love the science, and there's an element of altruism to it...

I could never be a doctor. Although I'm much better around blood now, I couldn't do it. Especially the pressure...
I really admire those in the medical field.

Ah! Pressure! I'm the same. Not very good around blood, can't stand much pressure, and really can't pick up on medical (or any science) lessons. We all admire those people who can do what we can't (or we should, but some people tend to get angry at them).

I can't help it, it's just sort of sucking me in.
I volunteer at a medical library, and it's almost impossible to actually work instead of just reading the stuff they have there. 'Smith's Recognizable Patterns of Human Malformation' is probably my favorite of the textbooks. The orthopedic and emergentology journals are pretty hard to resist at times too though.
I found a German-English medical dictionary there. My two great loves in the pages of one book -I have found nirvana.

Oh, what's nirvana?
Anyway, you seem to really enjoy learning about it. (I can't finish this now.)

It's like Heaven sort of. It's where souls of those who finally find peace supposedly go In Buddhism? Hinduism? I don't remember which, but her saying is a lot like the "I'm in Heaven" saying.

My first job will probably be this summer at the grocery store D: Maybe as a cashier in the strip mall if I'm lucky, but I would love, love, love to work at a bookstore, or even the library...
And isn't Nirvana the state of enlightenment reached after several dedicated lifetimes of trying to attain goodness.... or something? sweatdrop I forget. Anyways, I know it's a Buddhist thing, maybe Hindu, too....

Anyone have a suggestion as to where to work that has an online application? Or at least a printout application?
