She was sitting on a tree not long ago after praying. An old habit she's had when she was a bit troubled or felt like she needed to get away for awhile so as her emotions turmoil wouldnt get the best of her. Sitting on a tree thinking, she looked to be in a trance before shaking it off. She jumped down gracefully and began heading to the plateau.

"Stupid...." was all she muttered about her previous stature.

A black mask with two slitted yellow eyes and two black eye holes, as well as red lips stared at the old place of religion. The eyes behind the mask watched without a hint of emotion, he could not understand this place, it was a place of faith and worship two things he had not. He had lost the ability to feel things like everyone else, he was cold and dead on the inside the only reason he seemed as though he had emotions was because he faked them. But he didn't know how far to go sometimes and he would end up taking one emotion to far going from smooth and in control, to massive depressent.

"This place...Its a symbol of something? Why would someone erect a place for an ideal? An ideal that does not seem to exist but only in the minds of those whom follow it...Why does a place like this exist? I do not understand..."

He watched for a moment before resposistioning his mask slightly and turning on his heel walking from the shrine he probably should check the Arashikage to make sure she was alright. He held felt a powerful chakra in that direction and it had troubled him however he knew there where two other shinobi that had been there and of course the Kage had not seemed disturbed. He would have known if she was truly in distress due to the other chakra of a fellow Kage of most likely, another village, and he would have acted on it accordingly. However she was not in distress but more so she seemed to be in need of a rest however Michio was there with her, he could feel the other's chakra.

"Hmm...Is there a reason?"

Landing gracefully at the entrance of the Grotto, Leina looked around silently. Sighing from the past days of doing nothing, but train, she walked up to the altar.

Stopping by her home before coming, she had a small sack in hand. A small platter of mitarashi dango dumplings for her sacrifice to nature and a platter for herself. Placing the small plate on the altar she got on both her knees and said a few phrases of prayers before standing to slit the palm of her hand and letting the dumplings soak its sacrificial sauce, her blood.

Until the last drop fell, she quickly wrapped it and muttered lightly a few more things before turning around with her own food towards the large tree she always sat on, to enjoy her food. Well try to enjoy most of it, she knew, in a matter of time, her mother would try to contact her again.

“Whatever, it’s a sacrifice and it will do justice.” Nayami replied as she reached over to take the boy from Hageshii, her hand brushing up against his as she tugged on the gennin’s collar.

“Hm, a bit young but that’s the price you pay when taking your chances as a shinobi.”

Slipping her hand slowly into a small pouch located on her hip, she allowed the end of a kunai to slip onto the tip of her index finger, looping the metal around her finger before freeing it from inside the soft material. “Now you can go join those precious friends of yours.” Nayami smirked as she brought the blade close to his neck, “Come on now, you really think three small gennin like you could make it into my village? Give me a break…” Sliding the cold metal smoothly over his skin, she sliced off a few layers of skin as she looked down into the boy’s eyes.

“See what I meant about hero? You’re friends died and you thought you could continue on didn’t you?”

The crushed expression on the boys face spoke for him, a steady flow of blood now running down his throat.

“Just…as I thought.” Nayami ended with a cold snort, the kunai now fully entering the boy’s throat as the stern metal ripped through his juggler.

With an easy out stretch of her arm, she hurled the boys lifeless body upon the alter, his dark crimson fluids now dipping steady into the wood below.

“I swear if he doesn’t accept it…” She muttered with a scowl as she watched closely to see any sudden change in the shrine.

Nayami was defiantly an odd one, her attitude towards strangers seemed to be as cold as ice, but if she knew a person rather well she couldn’t help but show some of her other emotions towards them, knowing fully well they both worked and severed under her name.

The blood continued to seep into the smooth wood, the dark crimson dripping down the sides of the alter as they continued to wait for the spirit to appear.
One of Nayami’s feet seemed to bob up and down in irritation, her toes steadily ramming in the bottom of her shoe as she continued to rattle it against the ground as she tried to wait patiently for Ametsuchi to accept the offering. She drew in a deep breath as she flung the kunai free from her fingers, the sharp blade sinking itself into the moist soil just below the shrine.

“Ametsuchi…” Nayami seemed to growl through clenched teeth, her voice coming out a bit rugged as she continued to try and hold in her anger.

Finally a loud crack seemed to echo through the forest area as the nature spirit finally made his appearance, the smell of fresh soil soon wafting throughout the air.

“Oi, Nayami! This one’s a little young don’t you think?” Ametsuchi stated with frown as his glossy eyes seemed to stare down upon the young boy as he held his palm overtop of the blood stained corpse.

“It’s a sacrifice…why the hell are you complaining?” Nayami retorted with a low snarl, her arms neatly folding themselves over her chest as she tightly held them against her body.

“I ask for a large sacrifice…I think you take it a little too seriously with the slaughtering of humans you know a large boar would to me ju-”

“I’m here because of your letter, I didn’t come here in order to listen to one of your preaches.” She interrupted as she began to grow irritated by the spirits nonsense.

“Ah, I see. Once again I get the pleasure of seeing you on one of your bad days, oh how lucky I am…” The spirits voice dripped with sarcasm as a slight chuckle seemed to slip out from his two worn out lips, gently waving his hand over the boy’s body as he finally accepted it as a sacrifice.

Nayami’s shoulders seemed to bounce as a low angered filled laugh resided in her chest, “I swear if you don’t explain yourself I’ll c-”

“Simmer down Nayami, I’m only kidding. Yikes, and I thought the death spirit was moody…” His deep voice seemed to trail off slightly as a few of his fingers tugged at the long beard that graced his chin. “Right, about your father. For some odd reason he had it stuck in his noggin’ that in order to gain more power, more human sacrifices must be made.” Shrugging his shoulders the silk fabric of his attire seemed to crinkle lightly before he set both of his hands down into his lap. “Don’t ask me why, but he’s been slaughtering random villages for no apparent reason, and most of them aren’t even shinobi villages, just tiny towns on the outskirts.” Taking in a deep breath Ametsuchi closed his eyes briefly as he gave his old thoughts a quick stir.

“So, what you’re saying is, you want me to hurry my a** up?” Nayami asked as she tried to avoid all the mumbo-jumbo and get right down to business.

“Ah, clever and beautiful, I’m still in awe to why you haven’t found yourself a man yet…maybe it’s that shining personality of yours.” The spirit laughed lightly as his heavy eyelids finally lifted to reveal a pair of glossed over eyes.

“Tck.” Nayami tried to ignore his comment as a small sign of protest escaped through her lips.

“So assemble a team, do what you need to do because I ain’t waiting any longer. That little mishap indeed put a damper on you. Which is why you need to be careful, your father does possess elite shinobi as well as his own mighty power, you are in for a rude awakening if you go into battle thinking it will be a breeze.”

“Nayami.” A long sigh gently cut off his words as he rubbed his wrinkled forehead with the tips of his fingers.

“I’m warning you, be careful, you may be a Kage but you aren’t invincible, just…try to remember that.”

“Eh…when did you start worrying about me…” Nayami asked as one of her thin arches raised in interest.

“Now you’re the one who’s making this difficult, just don’t end up dead you silly little girl.” Ametsuchi huffed as he raised one of his hands into the air.

“Oh and Nayami?”

Giving a clear roll of her eyes, Nayami sighed lightly as looked back at the spirit. “I thought you were leaving…”

“Don’t let your past get in your way, whatever your father may say, don’t let it get to you.” With that one last warning Ametsuchi disappeared with a loud pop as a thin layer of smoke filled the air.

Hageshii had stepped away from all of this, it was not his place to be standing so close to the spirit while his Kage conversed with it. He did not want to disrupt anything either, his two jade eyes peered through the holes in his mask as he watched the spirit speak to his Kage. Their conversation was very short and the spirit seemed to be not taking any of it seriously at all, however the matter of her father was indeed a very serious and real threat. He knew of her father and the power he withheld so now of course it would seem to follow the same path it always did. Absolute power corrupts absolute, there was no getting away from the natural course of things only Hageshii seemed to be the uncorruptable, but that was due to his lack of emotion.

He silently watched the spirit say his parting words, he was not all to impressed but he would keep that sort of thing to himself, he was not one to relay something so trivial. Obviously she was troubled, oddly she also seemed rather upset by this whole thing, he was not sure what reason there was to be upset. He was sure they would be able to destroy her father, after all his power had limits just like everyone elses, they just had to find them and exploit them. That of course would be the difficult task all in its own, no one would be able to predict what would happen even if they found those limits. The power may destroy him alone, or maybe it would take everyone whom had ever been connected with it along with him, a chance not well taken.

"Arashikage-sama...I am troubled by the spirits words...Do you believe we will face much power with your father? I am unsure of what will happen, but all men have their limits as far as I have seen, there is no absolute..."

He spoke now to her since they where obviously alone now, he hadn't wanted to speak while they where in the presence of the spirit, risking some disrespect of some sort. Then again the spirit did not seem to be the type of being that would care anyways, but he of course would not take that chance. He wondered if at all, if they would have to gather their stronger nin and go out and find her father then of course, destroy him, they where rather low on advanced shinobi right now. Most of their number where academy stundents, there was only one other Anbu, a couple Jounin and a Missing-nin Chuunin. Their odds where not looking so good at the moment, he didn't feel that they would be able to come along with this destroying her father buisness.

Perhaps it was best for him to discontinue this train of thought, for it seemed as though it may get him into trouble, which was the last thing he needed right now. He watched his Kage now in silence, waiting and wondering what thoughts where going through that head of her's, obviously she would be thinking of something. However it was not his place to ask of course, he would not be the one to break the silence now, it would be her or nothing. This however did not keep thoughts from floating through his mind, this was odd for him, he did not feel comfotable with this odd feeling he was getting when he thought of his Kage fighting her father and getting hurt. He shook his head silenty as though trying to fling the feeling directly out of his head, and then he settled once more and watched her now.

Even after the spirit had left Nayami continued to stare over at the shrine, her eyes locked upon the small ledge Ametsuchi had appeared on.

“Something must be really up if Ametsuchi was so determined to warn me…”

She continued to stand in silence as she tried to organize her thoughts instead of having them all buckle over at once. She didn’t mean to leave Hageshii in stillness, his words still floating loosely through her mind.

“I’m sure we’ll be fine.” Nayami finally replied as she lifted her two blue pools free from the sacred shrine. Turning slowly on her heel, she twisted her body in the same direction as Hageshii now standing in front of him as she seemed to look him over.

“Hm, this will be a lot of work…I have to assemble teams and whatnot…and I’m already stressed over as it is…and now this…” A long exaggerated sigh escaped through Nayami’s soft lips as she slowly approached Hageshii.

“I need…a way to get my mind off things for the time being…” Her voice seemed to trail off slightly as she ran a few of her fingers playfully over his chest. He was attractive, she had to admit that, and it had been awhile since she had been with a man, her body practically aching for some sort of sinful pleasure. Resting one of her palms face down upon his broad shoulder she reached up gently with the other as she took a soft hold of his cheek.

“Can’t you…help me in that department?” Nayami asked softly as she looked up into his eyes, hoping to see sort of answer within the dark orbs.

His eyes widened underneath the mask as she came so close to him and then slid her hand underneath his mask upon his cheek. He had forgotten she was quite a seductress, it had been a long time obviously since she had tried anything on him, he was so stoic and steadfast. She had already forgotten what had happend, she would never realize how close she had been to unleashing something extremely dangerous upon herself. But now it seemed she did not recall his outburst, perhaps it best to remind her of what had happend the last time, though his body was agreeing completely his mind however was not. This was not a right thing, he was but a servant to her, he was not a play-toy she could use any time she wished.

"Arashikage-sama...This is neither the time nor the place for such a thing...You remember what had happend last time?"

It was a stupid question, however he figured she did not remember, since her senses where clouded by sinful desire but he would take it as his duty to open her eyes. He could not have her being this way, hopefully she would find some other way of outletting, he would certainly not allow her to go with the other choice of boy-toy. He disliked her other devotee, he may be rather devoted but that fact did not keep Hageshii from being steadily cautious of him. The fact that he was rarely around and such made Hageshii uneasy, to many things could be happening in that time that he was gone. A long time between stops, a long time for something to go wrong, it was not the sort of environment he adored and it most certainly was not forgiving.

Nayami continued to stare up into the thin slits of his mask even with his warning still fresh in her ears.

“Hah…I guess my mind must’ve slipped.” She replied as her hand ever so slowly freed itself from under his disguise. It was hard for her to keep up with such things, her busy mind over flooding with new and serious matters while the older memories were spitted out in a weak attempt to try and focus at the situations at hand. Running a few of her fingers through her raven black hair, Nayami allowed a soft sigh to escape from her lips.

“I apologize; I wasn’t thinking straight, I promise I’ll try to avoid you if I’m ever craving some sort of a thrill.” Her lips seemed to twitch lightly into a faint smirk as the word ‘thrill’ ended her sentence, her voice slightly emphasizing it as her tongue flicked the roof of her mouth. “Even said, I’m still overstressed and need some sort of excitement to help me by, perhaps someone else then.” Turning slowly on her heel Nayami tossed her long hair over her shoulders, the thin strands soon falling down messily upon her back.

“Maybe I’ll take my chances at a sake bar if I can’t find any other males…” The Kage’s voice seemed to trail off as she began to walk away from Hageshii, she had to admit, she didn’t want to repeat the same little incident as before, Hageshii’s anger was not a thing to be tampered with.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 17, 2006 3:06 pm

Hageshii scanned her over, her responce felt displeasing for some unusual reason, why did he feel a long lost emotion whelling up? No, it must have been merely a trick of the mind, a thing that was often playing tricks on everyone no one could ever avoid it it seemed. Her words seemed to strike at him like a nest of vipers, his jade eyes slitted underneath the mask he was wearing as he watched her silently. She had no idea of what was really back, behind the mask, behind the face with those beautiful jade eyes, deeper then anything she could find. There was a monster in his chest, and it wanted to come out and resume its status but Hageshii was still awake, the sleeper had to awaken for that.

"I would not advise that my Kage...You need your rest but you do not need that sort of excitement ruining our mission..."

He said it with such a cold dead tone, the fake life had all left his body and now he was what he truly had been, a cold dead husk of a man with no emotions. His voice even would send chills down her spine as he spoke, it was unlike anything she would have ever heard from him, his voice bit like frostbite. The cold, it consumed all around her as his voice cracked through the air, his eyes burning, they changed behind his mask, to yellow and slitted like a snake's eyes and then it was gone. He shook his head slightly, ponderign what had just happend, it felt as though he had suddenly been taken over by something, but what?

Rei walked up toward the shrine, deciding to leave an offering to Ametsuchi before reporting to Nayami. He blinked and bowed to Nayami when he saw the Arashikage walking away from it, probably having just finished talking to the spirit herself.

"Oh, Nayami-sama...I thought you would have still been home." He said, looking at the Arashikage curiously. He looked past her at the shinobi that stood behind her, not sure who it was exactly. All he really knew was that the man was advising Nayami against...being Nayami.

"Arashikage-sama, would you like me to report later? You seem to be troubled at the moment. Regrettably, I could not learn anything of the Volcano village, I wasn't as careful as I should have been." He remarked, bowing apologetically to the Kage for his failure and waitng for her to respond so that he knew what to do and where to go right away.

Nayami’s spirit seemed to lighten up instantly at the sight of Rei.

“Well, well fancy seeing you again.” She replied with a light grin as she approached him. “Hmm…look how much you’ve changed…” Looking up at him she ran a few of her slender fingers through his now snowy-white colored hair.

“You went from bald to this?!” Her eyes seemed to widen as she overlooked Rei several times.

“Oh, now this totally calls for an excuse to drink.” Smirking the Kage threw one of her arms over Rei’s shoulders.

“Come on Hageshii lets go into the village, it’s been months since I last had a good drink, and we have a couple of days before the big mission anyways.” Scruffing up Rei’s hair with a rough movement of her hand Nayami continued to smile as she looked over at Hageshii. “You can listen in on what Rei all discovered about the other villages, come on it will be fun.”

She seemed to be using this as an excuse in order to drink, still knowing she needed something to relax her.

Rei blinked in surprise at Nayami's reaction. She seemed to be much more jovial than she usually was. It was also a bit odd she was proposing to go drinking. He wasn't old enough to do that...and probably wouldn't drink even if he was.

"Ehh...Nayami-sama, I'm underage, I don't think I'll be allowed into the bar let alone to drink." He said, sounding a bit uncertain. Then again, the Arashikage apparently needed a good drink. He could always report and then wait outside for her if she needed help getting home after getting hammered.

"If need be, I could wait for you to enjoy yourself and report to you in the morning, Nayami-sama." He added, wondering just why Nayami wanted to drink so badly anyway.

Hageshii felt something, it was coming from the palteu, a large force had just made its presence known suddenly without warning. This was obviously not good whomever came was most likely not going to be friendly, however he kept his cold demeanor, no need to alert the Kage. If she hadn't felt the accute feeling then hopefully she would go to the village and he would be able to worry about the consequences later. However this thing, who or whatever it was was more important then watching over his Kage in a bar with a bunch of stupid drunk men.

"I apoligize Arashikage-sama I took must pass there are some matters I must attend to..."

He bowed to her and his body seemed to sort of slither away into nothingness, his torso first and then the rest of his body followed along with it. He would soon reappear in the plateu, soon he would find out what it was that had caused such a disturbance that had caught his attention with brilliant ease. His jade eyes slitted, he was upset with the current situation but he had to focus on the matter at hand, he needed to find out what this was. If need be he would have to also destroy whatever it was, he could have no person or thing intterupting his Kage and making her weaker then she already was from the past battle.

“Eh?” Before Nayami could even respond to Hageshii’s comment he had disappeared from sight.

“Ah well, more drinks for us anyways.” Keeping her arm still wrapped lazily around Rei’s shoulders she began to walk with him in the direction of the village.

“Underage my a**, I’m the Kage of this village, I’m sure I could get you a drink or two.” She replied with a smirk as she seemed to ignore his squeaks of protest.

“That’s the problem with some of you, you all seem so god damn strict, yeah sure we may be heartless villains, but…whose to say we can’t have a good time?” Before Rei couldn’t even try to respond to her comment she once again continued on.

“I’m over stressed, over tired, and I’m sick of looking at god damn paperwork, so lets go have some fun.” Nayami smirked as she kept the young boy close, knowing no matter what he had to say about not drinking she was going to keep on convincing him.
