Merci groans quietly hearing Cin's voice like a jackhammer in her skull.. but the concern over the kids was enough of an incentive to get her moving, despite the massive amounts of pain. She gritted her teeth so hard she almost felt like they would shatter and breathed as shallow as she could. Sitting up she looked around and grabbed the tree next to her using it to get to her feet. One of her legs was completely useless.. her side was on fire. Her arms felt like they were made out of jelly. Looking she drug herself over to where she thought she saw something in the grass.. a small piece of Fauve's mask lay there, one of the tips broke off when she hit the tree. Fauve was about five paces away, laying there, not moving at all. Merci let out a half scream "Fauve!" diving as fast as she could next to her daughter ignored the pain and drug her into her lap, seeing Fauve's chest move Merci felt relief so intense she thought she would heave, or pass out. Shaking she sat there silently for a minute. "Cin.. Fauve's alive, she's just hurt badly.. I didn't see Kasai..."

Cin shakes her head and sits up, Merci` didn't see Kasai...looking around dazed the spots started to clear. In the distance she could see a house top. They weren't far from the colony, but she saw something else that made her heart skip a beat. Laying in some leaves she could see the edge of a tan coat. Crawling over Cin went toward the tan fabric, her legs where refusing to work. Looking down tears of relief came to her eyes, Kasai had landed in a small ditch but was breathing, a glimmer of green came from his jacket. The emerald was laying in the pool of fabric, " 'Sai is over here...he is breathing! Lets get them up and back to the colony." Cin starts to try and stand, ignoring the spots.

Merci blinked the tears away and held Fauve as best she could, half having to drag the girl she got up to her feet again. She looked at Cinder and grimaced "yeah.. lets hurry." She started off, they weren't more then 12 feet from the colony. Moving over the uneven ground Merci fell a few times almost on Fauve once, but clawed her way through the treeline and back into the safety of the colony. Standing with the full sunlight hitting her, her arm around Fauve half holding her up off the ground, she swayed.. they had made it... barely... but they had made it back...

Cin dragged herself toward the buildings carrying Kasai the best she could, she was surprised that they were still moving. With a sigh of relief she falls in a heap, laying Kasai in her lap she pulls the emerald out of his jacket. "I hope this thing was worth it."

Merci looked down at Cinder and smirked gently "lets get that damned thing to Ice... then.. i vote we lay down and die somewhere... agreed?" before she even got an answer Merci swiped the jewel from Cinder's fingers and limped toward the homestead that housed Ice Queen. She stumbled up the steps and wrapped on the door a few times before letting herself crumble into a heap, figuring she didn't need to be standing up to give the thing to her. Fauve in her arms, Merci was just glad to be back here... and after a few months rest, She and Cinder would probably be somewhat human again... with a few more scars and alot more wisdom.

Cin grumbles to herself about having to move and was slightly worried about moving Kasai. "We need to get the kids to a doctor." A smile spread quickly across her face though as Kasai's eyes flickered open.
Did we make it? Kasai felt very exhausted more then he ever had in his life, but it would have all been for nothing if the gem didn't make it.
Smiling Cin made herself stand bad leg and all, "Yeah lets deliver this thing." Limping she takes Kasai's hand trying to support him the best she could and goes towards Ice's house, Emerald in hand she leans against the door and knocks.
