~a unicorns tears~ Has anyone here ever seen the actual original version? because your all talking about the DVD which means you've only ever seen the slightly-edited and re-made newer version. I've got a copy of the first 1993 version on video from when it first came out. I guess there's not much difference in them but I know the first one so well that when I saw the second one I could pick out every diny detail that was different and it really annoyed me.. My favourite characters are by far Skelington Jack and Sally & Zero is really cute. when i was younger the mayors angry face & some of the other citizens of halloween town used to scare me.. it was my first ever proper scary movie & is why i'm so obsessed with fantasy and horror now in both books & movies. I have seen both versions. I have the special edition version on VHS and DVD. I used to have the original 1993 (well...1994, actually. The movie itself came out in theatres in 1993, but it was released on video the year after) edition, but I gave it to a friend who loves the movie, but had no copy at all.

Sadly, however, I must get another copy. Mine was in this CD case with all of my other CD's...and the entire case disappeared into thin air, much to my dismay. I also have over a hundred Nightmare Before Christmas collectibles. I should photograph them and post them here...I also know all there is to know about it, from cover to cover, front to back, beginning to end, inside out, inside the film itself, and behind the scenes. I am always open for a challenge.

haha nah don't worry im not trying to challenge you if that's what you think. (and actualy, reading my past posts thats what it sounds like & i didnt mean that) i was jus hopin 2 shar my love 4 my favourite movies with other people who like them too but it sounded like only 1 or 2 people on this thread had seen the original & i got annoyed.

My old VHS copy of TNBC is still good. It's probably the only reason why I don't get the special edition DVD.
As far as collectibles goes I have very few. The most recent things I've bought have been a Sally tin of peppermints and the soundtrack on vinyl records. Heh, I have developed something of a habit of always wanting to drink chocolate milk out of my tall cup of Sally and Zero. It just doesn't seem the same unless I use that cup.
I seen on the Hot Topic website that it has Sally bedsheets... oh, the temptation.

I want Lock, Shock, and Barrel bedsheets---unfortunately, they are out of my price range, and yes, I have seen them.

At the guild for TNBC there was talk how Hot Topic was most likely going to start having an abundance of merchandise once Corpse Bride comes out, like they do with this one. The choices to be made of whether to spend money on Jack or Victor. xd It would be cool though.
