((Perhaps the Marauders should waylay Lily as she attempts to be a good prefect or something?))

So... what's going on with the roleplays?
PostPosted: Fri Jul 27, 2007 10:15 pm

((No idea, but I'm still behind any attempts to make them active again, if anyone's interested.))

((Well, I am. But two people may (and I use that word very loosely here) not be enough.))
PostPosted: Sun Jul 29, 2007 3:05 pm

[[I want to keep them going, however, I'm waiting for someone to reply to my post, as I was the last person to post, and It's kind of difficult to post to yourself, you know?

I liked your idea, Shadow, about waylaying Lily.

And I realize I am to blame for the present era one... Does anyone want to take over Harry, because I really don't want to play him. I'm sorry...

I think Finora will be a lot more active come August. She'll be done summer school.]]

At Remus's suggestion, Sirius seemed to go from being cool and languid to a frozen statue. His grey eyes stared at his mate as if Remus had grown another head and four feet now sprouted from his multiple ears. After the initial shock, he made an odd chocking noise and turned to look at James to see if Lupin had actually suggested the unsuggestable. By the look on his quidditch-crazed friend's face, Remus really had asked them to leave Severus Snape, the most slimiest git in all of Hogwarts, alone. He whiped his gaze around to look at his wolfy-friend once more, a worried expression on his face.

"Moony... are you feeling alright?" Quickly, Sirius shuffled forwards and pressed his palm to Remus's forhead, feeling for a fever. But... nope, no fever. Again, Black placed his fingers on his friend's cheek but... nothing. "Honestly, bud, you try with that again, I might just call Madam Pomfrey to give you a full body check. You should know better than that! You must have some sort of... disease that attacks the brain."

Stepping away from the Gryffindor prefect, Sirius regained his cool composure and fell back into the train seat. They might as well wait a while before getting off. The halls were always packed with excited first and second years within the first few minutes. It was so much easier to get off the train when they weren't practically swimming through tiny bodies. Plus... it also gave them some time to think about... er... innocent things.

"So, we were thinking about giving him today to relax. You know, for the past however many years we've gone to Hogwarts, we've always attacked on the first day. James and I decided, cleverly enough, that if we give him today then he might let his guard slip just a little bit. And then... tomorrow... we'll slip a little something in his breakfast."

Sirius sent a devil wicked grin to James, and for a moment, devil horns and a little tail could almost be seen protruding from the Black child's head and rear. Oh, vengence was sweet.

Peter was almost bouncing with excitment as he listened to his friends plotting. Put something in his breakfast? It was genius, sheer genius! Peter was as impressed now as he had been the first time they had donee so... four years ago... He kind of wished they'd come up with something more original, though.

But it didn't matter! He was at Hogwarts! With his friends! Oh, the excitement!

Peeking out into the corridor, Peter caught a glimpse of familiar red hair.

"Hey, James!" he started to shout, "It's Lily! You know, the girl that you're always on about!"

James shook his head and smiled at the over dramatic reaction Sirius had to Remus' suggestion. Sirius was such a drama queen. If anyone were to tell him this he'd probably rip their head off. To call the 'epitome of masculinity', as Sirius thought he was, anything but was the greatest insult in all the world.

"We slipped something in his food three times last year." You'd think Snape would have stopped eating meals with everyone else by now. "We should take today and think up something better. Something more... devious." A wicked look appeared in James' eye as he contemplated their first prank of the year.

His wicked contemplation was brought abruptly to a halt at the mention of Lily. At the very LOUD mention of Lily. "Shhh! Peter, You don't go yelling things like that." He got up quickly and went to the door.

"Oi! Lily, how's the prefect duty going?" It was causal, and conversational, and if he could get through one conversation with Lily without being insulted would be an amazing acomplishment.

"We may have slipped something in his food three times already, but knowing Snivellus, he's stupid enough not to be cautious this time. I bet that if we were to slip something in his food tomorrow at breakfast, we'd still get him!" Sirius laughed, grinning handsomely from James to Remus. "But, if you want to get really creative, we could transfigure all his robes into rabid animals Or stick his books to the Astronomy Tower roof. Or-"

The fifteen-year-old's ideas soon came to a halt when James jumped up from his seat and flew to the compartment door with his strange, seeker-induced grace. Sirius' brows furrowed for a brief moment of time, wondering what on earth was so distracting when pranking Snivellus was on the line, and then he heard her name. Lily. Black grinned knowingly and shook his head, still amused at how smitten his friend was with the red-haired femme fatale. She was his total opposite. She was responsible, a good role model... Well, James was smart. Sirius had to give him that.

Getting up from his seat, Sirius grinned devilishly at the girl in the hall and leaned on James shoulder, his eyes quickly running over her slender frame. He still didn't see what was so special about her.

"Evans." He stated, acknowledging her as any protective best friend would, accept with a little teasing hint. He may not like her very much, but he had a flirty reputation to maintain!

((Can't post now. Will tomorrow. Yes, I tried.))

Kat: Did you really try, because I'd be interested in reading that...
PostPosted: Sun Aug 05, 2007 7:30 pm

((Actually, Kat, yes. I did try, but I didn't save it...))

Remus shook his head in silent protest, but he knew no matter what he said poor Severus would feel the brunt of James' and Sirius' wrath.

"But you really shouldn't-"

All hopes of rational logic was lost at the loud, and extremely timely mention of Lily's name. Remus remained seated, prepared to see his best friend make a complete and utter a** of himself, as was customary.

((It's s**t, I know, but ******** you.

Ha ha ha... I like the asterisks.))

"First years, this way, follow Hagrid, please - no, no, that's the way back to Hogsmeade, you want to go down that path, follow the others, that's it..."

As a prefect, Lily was in her element. She directed lost first year students with ease, smiling reassuringly and making her voice as sternly authoritarian as possible whilst still putting in a note of comfort and assurance.

All in all, she thought she did a fairly good job.

"Oi! Lily, how's the prefect duty going!"

Lily froze, turned around slowly and forced her face into a calm mask. She'd know that voice anywhere.

"Potter." It was possible that she could have made her voice a little colder, but not by much. "And Black," she added, nodding in his general direction whilst trying to convey her utter disdain and ignoring the flirtatious grin he flashed in her direction. "Prefect duty was fine until you interrupted me. Was there something you wanted, or would you be content to let me keep doing my duty?" Those last few words were said with as much asperity as she could muster.

Then she turned and noticed the other two boys. "Ah, Remus," she said much more cordially. "I think I've got this under control, but I'll find you after the feast to take the first years up to the tower, if that's all right with you." Not pausing to hear his response - she had just seen two uncertain-looking first years walking in the wrong direction - she nodded brusquely, turned on her heel and walked away.

Sirius did his best to stop himself from laughing out loud at the distaste in Lily's voice when she acknowledged them. She certainly was a right siren, wasn't she? And poor James was after her as if she had song her alluring, manipulative song. What an evil tramp, she was! Black snuck a glance to his best mate, giving him a 'what-are-you-doing-standing-there-like-an-a**' expression, hoping to get him motivated. Sirius was a playboy, but he still knew how to handle the women he wanted. Unfortunately for Lily, she most definitely wasn't on his list.

"Anything I wanted? From you? Nah, I'd rather jump a lad in comparison." Sirius shrugged animatedly, as if to sincerely show like he was sorry for being unable to comply with her hidden needs and wants. "But, I'm sure James over here wouldn't mind letting you release any pent up tension you may have. Eh, Jamesy?"

As she spoke to Remus, Sirius turned and looked at his bookish friend, and gave him a playful wink. So, she was more interested in Remus then? Interesting.

"Or, is it Remus here you want?" Sirius barked a laugh. When she turned to stalk away, he pushed James after the fiery red-head after muttering in his ear. "Go get her, mate! She's right pissed at you as it is, and if you want any chance, go smooth things over."

Leaning on the door, Sirius watched his four-eyed mate for a moment before returning his attention to the people inside the compartment. He paused for a moment, feeling like he had done the world some good by helping James out before he grabbed his robes and threw them over his head. The train aisles were starting to get a little less cramped, which was their cue call. It wouldn't be right for them to be too late. Sirius enjoyed hearing the Headmaster warn the school body, on the request of Filch, about rebellious activity on the property.

So, he failed... again. James supposed it was probably a good thing, as anything less than an insulting remark from Lily would have probably given him a heart attack.

"But, I'm sure James over here wouldn't mind letting you release any pent up tension you may have. Eh, Jamesy?"

James's eyes grew to the size of saucers as he heard Sirius, and his face went from it's normally slightly tanned complexion to a very deep shade of red. He really had no idea what to say, and was hoping against all hopes that this was all just a bad dream. Suddenly his shoes were very interesting.

James looked up sharply at the mention of Lily wanting Remus. He looked from Remus to Lily then back again. She couldn't, could she? And if she did, did Remus feel the same? Would he do anything about it knowing James' feelings towards Lily? What if she really did? And what if Remus did feel the same?

James' increasingly depressing thoughts were interrupted by Sirius shoving him after Lily. He turned to look at Sirius completely at a loss, and again looking like a fish out of water. After seeing that Sirius had left him to his own disastrous actions, James turned in the direction Lily had gone.

He ran down the corridor, feeling much like he was running through an obstacle course because of all the first years about, and caught up to Lily.

"Look, I'm sorry I bumped into you this morning. I honestly didn't mean to." James muttered. He blushed a bit and continued, "And I'm sorry for Sirius. He can be a git sometimes. There are times I wonder if that's not where I get it from"

He hoped the insult on his character would amuse Lily, and smiled hopefully.
