This is a poem I wrote last night xp I'm pretty sure everyone can figure out who I was thinking about when I wrote it xd


Since the day I first met you,
You’ve always been here
At my side.

Since the day we first spoke,
I felt a connection with you;
A bond no one could break.

Since the day you first listened to my problems
And I listened to yours,
I knew you were special.

We were merely friends at first,
Stumbling down a winding road together,
Helping each other through the hard times.

You hit a roadblock and you stumbled;
I gave you my hand and you took it.
At that moment I knew it was something.

I didn’t know it at first,
But during those few months we didn’t speak
I was worried about you.

You got back up after your fall,
And became a stronger person because of it;
All the while the distance between our hearts began to shrink.

We fell in love;
And fell in love more and more
With each passing second.

You’re different from the others;
You care about me more deeply than anyone else;
You listen to me like no one else does.

When I hit that bump in the road,
You straightened out the course
And helped me realize my own self-worth.

Then I fell into what seemed like
A never-ending black abyss;
Trapped there for all eternity.

But wouldn’t you know it,
You were the one who was there for me;
There for me again.

This time it was you who was offering me a hand,
And saving me from my worst enemy;
Myself.

I thought I was worthless;
I thought I wasn’t good enough for you;
I thought my life wasn’t worth living.

But you showed me the truth,
The truth of who I really am;
I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you.

We will live our lives together
And no one will stop us;
No matter how hard they try.

Because together we are invincible;
Together no one can break us down;
Together we will fight.

Together we will believe
In what we will make come true.


Please tell me what you think about it. This is the first poem that I've actually ever been proud of writing. I nearly cried when I wrote it and when I showed it to James he nearly cried as well xd
