I had gotten to the aqueduct only to see them all leaving again. I sighed, and decided to follow quickly. The academy, i heard. I had to catch up quickly. I didn't shout out for them, instead, I used a flash step to sneak up behind them and follow.

I jumped quietly into the underground aqueduct, it seemed that no one had been here for a while. I walked into the main classroom again. I picked up a book and started reading. It wasn't anything interesting, in fact it happened to be the first book I had ever read on Chakra. I put it back down and stood in the centre of the domed room.

"Then let us begin Waraku," I murmured. With that, I relaxed my hands and let them hang by my side.

I started finding where my Reiatsu came from and I started to extend it once more to every single part of my body. The framework I had created now, made my earlier framework when I was out there, look like a sham. I looked up to where I used to train, right by the water. I closed my eyes again and let my Reiatsu flow.

Having felt my Reiatsu fill to maximum capacity. I let it flow. Exploding it out to the far reaches of the room. The room shuddered, but it was sturdy enough to withstand this pressure.

Finally I opened my eyes, "Shi..kai!" I said and released it into the room. I focused it, and everything suddenly became heavier. I launched out a Byakurai, and it went fine, for a few metres, and then I could see it just trying to move in slow motion. I walked around and stood on the other side of it.

"Strange.." I said and crushed the byakurai with the pressure of my Shikai. I sealed it off and headed out. Then, I stepped forwards suddenly and disappeared, heading to the acaddemy.

I climbed down the ladders once more back into the Aqueduct. I had come back to the team, not my true intention but it was a consequence of my returning to Seireitei. I would have to work hard to bring my students up to scratch on their knowledge, and now I had a new student.

I held up my hand to part of the wall. I pressed my palm against it and let my Reiatsu flow into it. Suddenly my reiatsu flowed into all the lines and using my Reiatsu, I shifted the door to the side, revealing my class room inside.

It was still dome shaped and rather dusty. Taking a near by brush, I swept every where down quickly and pulled out some of the books and laid them on the floor next to where I would sit, because as of yet this class room didn't have desks.

I sat down and started flicking through one of the books hoping to learn something that I hadn't learned already.

In fact there wasn't alot, the only thing that I needed to learn, was that apparently, intense fighting raised your level of reiatsu to an unfathomable degree. I shut the book I was reading. It was probably why I was so strong when I came back from the tower.

I remembered the days well, when I fought against our opponents with Kenji, Amaya...

I put the book away and unsheathed Waraku.

'Master?' Waraku said in my mind, suddenly aware of my intent. I turned the blade on my self. She probably didn't know what I was doing, but I did. I started to collect my Reiatsu into the blade making myself weaker and Waraku stronger. She tried to resist, but eventually after a few minutes of constant reiatsu pressure she gave up.

"Forgive me...Waraku-san," I said and fell forwards as the blade pierced straight through my chest cleanly, sharpened by my resolve yet dulled by her sadness. I felt the effects immediately. My power drained. Her inner ability that constrained a superior amount of Reiatsu was unleased and it bound in a bakudo straight around the inner workings of my soul.

"Of the five stars, and the two moons," I chanted, "Only those with the knowledge, only those with the wisdom, may pass through the doors of heaven. Only those with the desire to succeed may become the one true sacrifice..." I finished the recitement and let go of Waraku. Immediately she screamed in pain...but not her pain, my pain. My soul was undergoing a binding, something that could only come to someone with the desire to seal themselves.

I began the second part of the incantation, for it was a long incantation, "Past, present, future, all are one." At this point Waraku started joining in with me, "Life, Death, Rebirth, all are one. For I know that I am one, we are one, and we are cleansed, cleansed of our power, cleansed of our sins. Let the journey unfold, for we are both..." I finished the second part and thus the spell, "Free."

I fell to my knee's. The effects now were instantaneous. I barely had the strength of a normal shinigami...yet I felt so much lighter. I sighed as I tried to breath.

Breathing it seemed was as much a chore to me at the moment than anything else. I pulled Waraku out. It was done. I couldn't feel her the same way as I used to. I was now, truly weak.

Devoid of my strength and for some part, my knowledge. I tried to think of any Kidoh that I knew, and I did know of one, but I couldn't remember the others.

Spirit ball. I extended my hand and held it out. I concentrated hard trying to summon my reiatsu to my hand. Nothing came, not even a flicker. Now I was...truly weak, if I couldn't even get a spirit ball working. I sat up. Why had I done this?

I shook my head slightly and sheathed waraku. I then fell asleep with blood still seeping from it.

Though i'd just come back from helping Mitsuoki with the shopping, the atmosphere down here was very quiet and silent. Eerie. At least, more so than usual. Even the water was being quiet today, no echoes, nothing.

Then without warning something wailed, screamed almost. I ran, Kai had said he was coming here and that scream sounded like Waraku, was he in trouble? I hadn't heard her scream like that before, it used to be a soft calling wail of death before he battled.

"Kai-senpai!" I raced forwards throughout the corridors. All the sound came floodline back suprising me with the noisyness. The water started rushing and echoes of small rats moving around here and there. Everything had grown excited all of a sudden, and there was a sudden decrease in spiritual pressure. That could only mean one thing if Kai had been fighting. He'd been defeated, or even worse...

I ran around the corner and into the classroom, my worst fear greeted me, Kai was lying the middle of the classroom on his back, Waraku in her sheath, but there was blood on it near the hilt. Then i looked to his chest, it was pierced straight through one clean cut.

I ran to help. Was he still alive, was he still a shinigami? These questions floated around my head when i needed everything to be stable. I held my hands over his chest and started to concentrate, focusing my Reiatsu. Eventually I got the green glow to return.

"Kai-sempai!" I said urging him to wake up, there was still a sense of spirit left in him.

I came into view stepping out of the shadows. I hadn't seen the whole thing, but I had seen Amaya run in carrying a few of the goods.

"He's alive, let him rest," I said and looked around. Where did Sensei keep his stuff. I walked over to a hidden cupboard but yet found on the floor, a book opened on a certain page. I started reading and looked back at him.

Infuriated I threw the book at him.

"Dammit!" I said.

The book hit.

"Ouch," I said sitting up, the book knocking me awake wasn't a good way to wake up. I looked around. Kenji...Amaya..

"What are you two doing back so soon?" I asked. I knew why though, they'd probably heard Waraku or something like that. Hang on...who was Waraku... my head hurt. I grabbed my head and tried to sqeeze the pain out.

"Ugh..." I moaned and stood up. The whole in my chest had healed up...thankfully.

"Kai sensei!" I said as he grabbed his head. His spirit from what I could tell was alot weaker now, it was incredibly weak, almost like the days that I knew him before he joined the Shinigami ranks. This was disastorous.

"Are you alright Kai-sensei?" I was shocked that Kenji seemed angry, but then again, that book he threw what was in it?

"Yes..." I said, "I'm fine...Kenji, i'm leaving you in charge..." I looked up at him. I knew he knew what I had done, but it had to be done, "If any of you want to come with me, then feel free, but for now, I should start learning..." With that, I walked away calmly and climbed up one of the ladders into the academy.

I came into the room, I saw that things weren't exactly normal...

"What's up guys?" I asked as I put the food down, "Where's sensei?"

Mitsuoki

"Kenji's our sensei now," I looked up, "So, what are we going to do. I don't suppose you have any bright ideas for training do you?" I asked quietly. I knew it was a bit rude but with everything happening so fast lately it was annoying the hell out of me.

"Ah," I said, "Well...it doesn't matter, Kai-sama is Kai-sama." I looked around and saw a stove in a shelf, "I'll start preparing dinner, he'll come back."

With that I started preparing the ingredients over the last four years i'd become quite a good cook, and I was thankful, because it meant I didn't have to suffer Kenji's food...

That's an excellent idea," I said rubbing my hands. I could do with something to eat, it felt like I hadn't eaten in days. I frowned. When had I last eaten. Dammit I couldn't remember.

"Amaya, I'll explain this after lunch..." I said and sat down in front of Mitsuoki and started helping.
