Ew. caviar. I barely made it through biology. We got this fish with this big old egg sack, HUGE, and the teacher was like, open it up, and she said, man, we shoulda just sold that as caviar.

That's great. I remember in my Middle-school biology, with the whole frog autopsy, all of ours were female even though they weren't all supposed to be. eek Weird.

It wasn't much of a class: The frogs got -butchered-. There was no organized studying. It ended with some of us taking the frog parts home for BB practice (Not I), and some of us being grossed out because our lab partner was really into the whole thing and we weren't... Or maybe that last one was just me. sweatdrop

But then in college biology I did it right. 3nodding I'm just glad we never got to the sheep brain part... :shiver:

Oh God. I hope I never have to take biology again. ever. ever ever ever I hated it. zoology, that didn't bug me. I got a Dr.'s note for not dissecting because my hands are so unsteady they were afraid I'd cut myself by accident.

whee Dissecting frogs isn't manditory for us. Which is good with me being vegetarian and all.

I'm against the usesless slaughter of animals. I'll eat meat. Just don't make me cut up a frog without a purpose. COme on, it's the same as watching a video of someone doing it. One frog needs to die and that's it. Save a lot of money, too.

I don't get in people's faces about eating meat. Just for me I believe in evolution so the way I see it is that we're all the same in many ways, the difference is that we advanced further.

While other animals survive completely on instint humans survive on laws and morals with some instints. So because of this I believe we should be preserving the life of animals rather than taking it away, when we have other viable options to remain healthy and not starve.

I believe in evolution. I"m just not morally superior enough to care whether I'm eating an animal or not.

Well being a Pagan I believe in respecting all life. This doesn't mean you HAVE to be vegetarian it's the way I choose to respect life though. Even when picking a flower for a spell I pray to it for permission, thank it when I pick it and then thank it again for its sacrifice after the spell.

I believe that Spirit is in everything living, so disrespecting nature (or anything living.) I disresepect Spirit and also myself.

Sounds a lot like Christianity. which actually you figure most beliefs started out roughly the same...

Nothing, well, something to do with religion, I love looking at when myths influence eachother. or they came from similar places...like did the noah story get stolen from the greeks, or was there really a huge flood at some point that spurred both stories?

What historian's believe actually is that the story is from ancient mesapotamia. (Sp?) They also believe it's true to some extent.

The theory:
There was a flood, way back when. A farmer built a boat, big enough to hold his family and some farm animals. The flood was very big and back in those times people didn't know a world outside of where they lived. So to that farmer his 'world' would have been flooded. The tale was then fabricated so that he took 2 of every animal, instead of maybe two of each his farm animals. etc.

Paganism is older than Christianity actually. (It's mentioned in the old testiment of the bible.)

Paganism must be older than christianity...christianity is only 2000 years old, and how could God and MOses be mad at them for building a false god out of gold and acting like pagans if there were no pagans? "Are you kids acting like pagans again? AARON, YOU LET THEM DO THIS? That's it. God...wait...doubted you? Oh, so now I can't get to the promised land either? Well if you're gonna be like that...well...yes, I guess the bitter water WAS a bit of a sign....

Yup, I know. But there are a whole whack of Christian's I know who refuse to believe that. xd

People who don't know that Paganism is older? eek That's surprising for me. I mean, paganism is a form of the most basic of religions; what with spirits being in everything, and worshipping nature and such.

Yeah...and a whole lot who insist the earth was created in 7 days and evolution isn't an option. I don't agree, but some people do, so eh. These are things I consider to be factually proven wrong. But I'll leave it at that because it's not of much importance, I guess. Gotta remember, I'm a lost Catholic. I question, study, and scrutinize everything before accepting it as true.
