Bebedora spotted Yuri's trouble. She threw her purse from her back onto the ground, causing it to burst open. A deep darkness inside beckoned to the flames that engulfed the fighter's arm. Within seconds, the fire had been contained, or rather, vacuumed, leaving Yuri's sleeve unharmed.
"Hee hee hee!" Bebedora cried with glee. "The beast is unprepared, but we are not. Are you injured, Yuri?" She could not detect the dark gray of deep pain, but if he answered falsely, it could only make things more interesting. The mind was complex at times, and confusing; the former marionette loved to watch contradictory behavior.

Yuri slid off his claws and let them drop to the ground, he bent over and clutched at his chest, a white light shining from where his heart was positioned. The air seemed to rush in towards him and suddenly he was engulfed in light. When the light faded a humanoid figure in red armour who held a giant crimson sword stood in Yuri's place. It raised the sword and cast the spell 'Energy Charge' on itself, doubling it's attack power. It stepped forwards and unleashed a 5-hit combo on the beast, ending with an upward slice, knocking the beast into the air.

Vivi panicked when he heard about the magic absorbing monster, a magic absorbing monster near a village full of mages was never a good thing. "Calan!" He called desperately, trying to find his oldest son. The boy ran to join him, "Take your brothers and hide inside the house, I'm not gonna let the monster near you."
Appreciating the trust his father placed in him, Calan did as he was told. 'No one will hurt my sons!' Vivi thought desperately, he ran as fast as he could to where the monster was being fought. A surge of raw emotion gripped his system and trance took effect.
Vivi shimmered with blues and silvers, his clothing replaced by court mage finery for the duration of his trance. "You will not hurt my sons!" He yelled pointlessly and breathlessly.
He tried a dbl. blk only to have it fail, angrily he thought about throwing himself at the target but healer would just cure it. 'Magic sword,' He thought, 'Even a foe with reflect it hurt by ...' He cast his eyes around for someone with a sword, spotting one nearby(Yoshimitsu). "Let me help you, I know a technique called Magic Sword, it should do some damage."

Bebedora laughed into the back of her puppet's head. "Hee hee hee. The other puppet-soul is crimson." She giggled as she felt a shiver of excitement. "The crimson of rage and blood has appeared, and it flows freely through their thoughts and veins... Ha ha ha. The desperation to survive always makes things interesting."
(OOC: Bebedora plays narrator because she has nothing else to do!)

Meru got up as quickly as she could and ran to get her hammer again. After stepping back and setting the weapon over her shoulder once more, she dashed forward with a three-hit rush. "Die beast"

The Energy Charge effect faded ((it only lasts a single turn and he can only cast it on himself)) and Yuri/Barbaria stepped backwards, it looked to the newcomer with the hammer and cast Rage, increasing the newcomer's physical attack slightly.

Alucard burst from the dense brush of the BM Forest propelling himself into the air with a inhuman leap towards the beast (Still in the air O.o) His holy blade struck forward attempting to slice into the creatures flesh. "MICHAEL'S LACERATION!"the blade would Inflame with a holy aura before striking the beast. The Aura would spread through the creature burning it with its own foul intentions.

Vivi looked towards the sword user, trying to think about which spell to use. "Which spell do you want me to use?" He asked, he knew so many.

The arrival of the strange people and his need to get back into the fight made Yoshimitsu rther annoyed. "I don't know!" he snapped "Something stonger and not fire-based!" Meru saw the world fade behind a red veil, and felt anger rise from within somewhere she couldn't pinpoint. One last conscious thought of doubt crossed her mind, before her hammer fell over the horse with abnormal strenght for her.
After the first hit, she had a hard time reovering her grip on the hammer and thrusting it on a great arc to hit the creature horizontally, making her loose balance and fall. Meru rose quite slowly, as her right hand looked for her weapon again, preparing for another attack.
((Sorry, but it seems Meru needs a clear mind to use Additions wink ))

((Sorry, but it seems Meru needs a clear mind to use Additions wink )) =^_^= ((Lol, guess Rage affects people in different ways, in the game it only boosted attack power, didn't make you uncontrollable...it was when your sanity bar became empty that you went berserk.... ah well, we can roll with it.)) Barbaria turned to Alucard and cast Rage on him too, increasing his attack power slightly as well

"Um...oooke..." Yoshimitsu looked from the mage to the monster. I guess I'd better get moving...The bandit launched himself into the air again, flagstaff whirring behind. He let himself drop down over the monstrosity. Yoshimitsu braced himself, swinging his katana in a downward arc. At the apex, he remembered the little mage's instructions. "Doomsday!" he shouted, not really knowing what would come next. ((OOC: I have never played FFIX...so I have no idea what Yoshi has just done. Help, please sweatdrop ))

((ooc: Sorry Animus, I forgot you hadn't played. Doomsday is Vivi's final spell, and Steiner has the capacity to cast a spell via his sword, these are called magic sword techniques. It makes sense that Vivi would be able to do the same for any sword user.))
