Minna laughs. Really laughs, at the quick subject change. "Yes, of course...sugar. So tell me, how old are you? Or is this another womanly secret?" She grins, eyes most amused, and sips her coffee.
Zaagade looks over at Tancred. What's a secret?

Father has a lot of them. It's when you know something that someone else shouldn't know for some reason.
"Trade secret," Yue winks, "but I will give you a hint. I look about as old as I am. I take good care of myself, and the results are... hm... functional!" He grins, and takes a bite of a sausage link.

I don't know if mother has any of those... Zaagade rolls around thoughtfully, though very, very carefully. She doesn't like to show off her metal leg, is that a secret?
Minna smiles. "Well, you look fabulous. So, here's to taking good care of oneself, yes?" She looks somewhat ruefully at the blueberry on her plate...last one. This meal had gone entirely too fast.

I think that counts, actually. Tancred bounces up and lands in front of Minna, spinning in front of her.
"Here's to it," Yue grins, finishing off the sausage. "And... yes. Have you had enough to eat, Minna dear?"

"I did...thank you so much. It was very good." Minna smiles at Yue, before looking down to Tancred, smile changing to something a little more accomodating and maternal. "Hi there, Tancred."
Zaagade watches amusedly. Hey, spinning and no flying water! Yay!

Tancred flips up and over, showing off just a little. Yeah! Hey you know... your mommy is pretty. Not pretty like father, but pretty in a different way. She looks like that snow thing I saw once.
Yue finishes, and gently dabs his lips. "Minna," he looks at her seriously for a moment. "Have you anything planned for the day?"

Aww...thank you! What's snow? Zaagade's bouncing again, but doesn't dare actually spin for fear of upsetting something.
"Mm...not particularly, no. A few errands to run, a certain switch to pay attention to, and work to be doen on a manuscript that's nearly finished and not due for a few weeks yet."

Snow, Tancred thoughtfully answers, is rain that is so cold, it turns into ice. But not thick is. More like... if you took that spoon and shaved off the top layer of ice. Ice powder.
"I ask because I thought you might like to..." Yue looks aside, looks back at her. "Might like to spend the day with me? Tancred and I are going into the city for a break from our wandering."

Minna's smile brightens by a good measure at that. "Zaagade and I would be delighted."
Zaagade bounces, and carefully spins in the air. Hey, hear that, Tancred? We get to be together the rest of the day, too!

Sweet sweet sweet! Zaagade, we get to trip more people!
Yue returns her smile, feeling pretty good about the decision. He feels bad for lying to her, he always does, and thinks maybe a nice day will ease that conscience thing.
The waiter comes by about then and drops the check.
"Was everything okay with your meal, ladies?" he asks, still kinda googoo eyeing them.
"Everything was lovely, thank you," Yue answers, and waits for Minna to concur or dispute.

Well, but look, they're okay now. We even made a discovery about father's new person.
Yue hands the waiter a bill, smiles at him. "There you go. Thirty percent. Now shoo, fly. We must be on our way." He stands, takes up the check. "Come, Minna. Let's head out before it gets too much brighter outside."

Well, that is true...hey, we should think of a name for the new person!
The real woman smiles and nods, standing up to follow. She's in an incredibly good mood...feels very flattered and contented, and is a bit taken with Yue as well. He's a charmer...when he feels like it.

Mmm... how about... what's a good word for white?
Yue pays for the meal, snatches a mint for each of them, and calls for Tancred to come along and stop hovering in front of the bus boy.
"Minna, is there anything you need to be out during the day? I apologize if it's an insensitive question, but I would rather be awkward now than later when something might go wrong." Yue holds the door for her, blowing a kiss to a guy who was staring a little too hard, and following it with a nice traffic finger. "Men are such pigs."

Ummmm...hm. I wish we could ask my mom, she knows all these cool, weird words...like zaagade! You that's actually a word-word and not just a name?
Minna has to laugh at the last bit. "Oh, no, I appreciate it..." she slips on a pair of sunglasses as she speaks. "I don't have a hat, and should probably head home to get one...if it isn't too far out of the way, of course?"
