Most of the spots Pi had noted while using her regular vision were just denser bits of rock with shallow cracks in them, but there were two promising cracks. Pi went to the one to her right first, but upon closer inspection, turned out to be just a small pocket in the rock. The next crack proved to be more promising. "I think I've found what we are wanting, and if you'd like, I can also make a smaller version over on the opposite wall." Pi announces.

Izzy comes closer and peeks over Pi's shoulder, "Version of wha?" she asks curiously. She blinks at the wall, "Is that a crack?"

"A magically created storage space, and yes, that is a crack." Pi grins. "Let's see how far back this one goes." She utters a spell, and the rock wall separates. A cool breeze wafts over Pi as the air pressure regulates itself. "Oh, this does look very promising." biggrin

((sorry for the unexpected absence. had my sister in town and things were busier than I anticipated.))
Issiree jumps back and blinks at the new space in the wall. She whistles quietly and then looks over at the opposite wall. "Sounds good to me." she says, "I'm not complaining about excess storage space."

Pi examines the space before her. "It's a tunnel. I wonder how far back it goes?" Pi glances over to the other wall as well. "That one will be significantly smaller than this one."

Izzy nods, blinking quietly and stepping to Pi's flank to follow her through the tunnel.

Pi walks slowly into the tunnel, recalling her rarely used instincts honed in the Underdark. The air is cool here, and not very moist. She decides to create a small magelight rather than use her infravision. A soft blue glowing globe hovers just above her hand. She extends it slightly above her head. It reveals a curve in the tunnel. It heads deeper into the mountain side, and slopes slightly downward.

((hill? mountain? umm... good question... we'll say small mountain for the sake of having something fun to work with.))
Izzy blinks and looks at the magelight wondering mildly if she could learn that. She refocuses her attention on Pi and their surroundings, following her in and downward? She'd had no idea there was so much already here. She wondered about the tunnel, looking for signs to see if it was natural... or manmade.

The tunnel slopes downward for only a short while. Pi estimates that they are half the cave's hight below the floor level. It begins to open out a bit also. "Hmmm....interesting."

Issiree, still unable to determine whether the tunnel was mandmade or natural looks forward towards Pi when she heard her speak. "Interesting? Is this natural? I must admit, I've never seen a cave like this before, but I suppose it's completely possible."

"So far it seems to be mostly natural, but since it's smoother than any water carved tunnel I've ever seen before, I'm not sure. It seems to be leveling off and opening up into a chamber." Pi keeps walking forward.

Suddenly the ceiling lifts away from their heads. There is an empty, vast cavern ahead of them. Pi puts the magelight under her cloak for a moment and allows her vision to change from normal to infravision. She doesn't see any abnormal heat variations, but that doesn't mean it's safe. She scans the cavern again, but this time it's with her eyes and her spells.
