Colonel Gabrielle Genji The angel of Death Colonel Gabrielle Genji The angel of Death Colonel Gabrielle Could you check whether if they have been online yet or not? Also, do you think we should let in semi-literate people? How semi-literature is she, actually? Grammatical mistakes? Typos? etc. [ Seriously can't understand those people. If you write something, write it right, man...! D: ] I would let semi-literate people in. I am part of that group of people. xP The person has made a few mistakes. Both typos and grammatical errors. But still understandable. One of the other people has been online and the last one has yet to come back online since I sent out the messages. You count as semi-lit? o.o... The one that's been online WON'T GET IN! THIS. IS. SPARTAAA!!! No, really, I'm so fed up with people like "LULZ I WANNA RPPPP HEHE" scream emotion_donotwant
I count myself as a semi-literate roleplayer. I know where I make mistakes and have tried improving them. But I do try to improve them unlike some rolepalyers I've seen. And yeah I under stand being fed up with people like that. I think you're already kind of a lit. RPer. What mistakes do you do? I just don't want to accept their request and then kick them out. Nor do I want to decline requests. [That hurts, man.] I make small grammatical mistakes quite often. And alright I understand shall I tell the person no?

Colonel Gabrielle Thank you very much, I really appreciate it ^^ Could you then please copy the old skeleton, and fix it according to how the shinigami profile skeleton has been changed? (Old profile skeletons here, new ones here) If you are ready with it, please do not post it in the topic but send it to me in a private message so that I can post it (you know, so all the profile skeleton posts look the same) To show my appreciation for your offer and work, I'd gladly help you in getting a wished item or something like that ^^ =) If you have some free time, I'd really appreciate if you could summarize all the suggestions, thoughts and arguments about this Division Close-Up, and according to them, set up a new system? I'm kind of unsure about doing it myself, I always keep skipping out on little details >.< No worries about numbers or anything, just give what divisions are needed, dependant from task. I've thought about that a bit, and decided that after the profile skeletons are ready, I will send out an announcement and give one week for the inactive to either create a new character profile or fix their old ones up according to the changes. If they don't even manage to create a topic for their characters, they are going to be kicked out. If they create a topic, but don't get ready with it after the week, they will stay. If an other week is gone and their profile is not ready, they'll be sent a warning, then we will see how it goes after that. What do you think? Erm, I'm afraid I don't exactly understand what I am supposed to do. >.>" (I feel foolish.)
I am supposed to fix the old profiles by adding in that which is not included in them but is included in the newer ones? Would it not be faster to simply recopy the new ones? x3

No, no, no, don't feel foolish - I'm the idiot for not explaining it more clearly. But it doesn't matter as I have actually realized, that the profile skeletons don't need any more workers. Shinigami - ready. Arrancar - I want to deal with it myself Vizard - ready. Human - I want to deal with it myself Quincy - half-ready. Mod Soul - half-ready.
Though what I do need help with, is checking out the Shinigami and Vizard Profile skeleton, to see if there are typos, double-spaces, senseless sentences, grammatical errors, coding mistakes (you can see it best if you actually copy&paste the skeleton to a test forum and see how it looks like when it's posted). Could I please entrust this work to you?
[By the way, the reason why I don't recopy the other ones is because there is a lot of new stuff in the new profiles, but just about half of it relies on the old profiles, so it has to be arranged, what should be got from the old one, and what should be copied from the new profiles.]

I think leniency should be given to people about there grammar. I am by no means a literate rper, i fall more into the semi-lit group. if you don't give people some wiggle room in there grammar then it just becomes a hassle to make sure everything is perfect or else you get yelled at.
I like having a good profile as much as anyone but you have to be lenient. I know that grammar and spelling means alot to some people but others not as much, as long as you can read it, and they give you enough to make your own post i don't see why there has to be such strict rulings on it.
I'm not trying to argue with anyone here lol just giving an argument for the less literate people out there =) .

[As you can see, I try to avoid them as much as possible.] I just feel like that the reason these people write with so many mistakes is that they are lazy, rather than incapable, and that bothers me a lot. I sometimes read through my own post twice, so that no-one is confused by it, and that it doesn't look stupid (excuse me for the word). No need to apologize, arguing was never a bad thing as long as you kept respectful and could bring up sensible reasons. I actually really enjoy "arguing", in a sense.

What about a semi-leniency to grammar and spelling issues? (sorry to interrupt, just thought I'd leave my opinion)

What about a semi-leniency to grammar and spelling issues? (sorry to interrupt, just thought I'd leave my opinion) That sounds sensible, but really, what counts as semi and what doesn't? That's the problem. I was thinking of creating a thread of the most usual grammar mistakes, and then check later to see if people are actually using this new knowledge or they're just being as lazy as they were.

Colonel Gabrielle That sounds sensible, but really, what counts as semi and what doesn't? That's the problem. Semi-lenient, as in letting them off with a few misspelled words and several grammatical errors, so long as it's still understandable. But not letting them by with being completely lazy and writing barely legible gibberish. Simply put, be strict, but don't overdo it.

Maybe I should entrust this job to you. I trust your skills. Question is, are you up for the challenge?

Just make sure that people use proper grammar, and try to hold me back if I wanna kick out someone because of their poor skills ^^;
