"Hey!" she exclaimed, "I may be 7 months pregnant, but I'm nothing to worry about. Maybe you should worry about your friend there." She motioned towards the injured girl.

Turning around, Corina walked off. How dare she. How freaking dare she. Corina thought to herself.

She slammed her hand down on the trunk of a car. She was pissed.

Mag wasn't phased. Hormones, she figured. But it was true, the military girl did look injured. "We should get moving... As soon as we get some supplies, I'll be able to take those bullets out for you..." Mag scratched her head for a moment, then remembered the pills she had found earlier. She invited herself into Ryan's backpack, and pulled out the pills and gave a small handful to the girl. "Here... they're some kind of antibiotic. It wont help with your pain... but at least you might not get gangrene..."

Robin muttered, and walked up to the new girl and tugged on her shirt. "You should tell your friend not to get so upset... She might hit a car with an alarm... then we'd all be in trouble..."

[Robin is Mag's younger sister, in case you don't know]

"I'm Jessica," she extended a hand, "and hey, thanks for helping us. We've been traveling for quite some time through the woods. That's Corina by the way."

Jessica saddled her knife back to her hip. And turned to start walking again. She had so much running through her mind. Between the walker that tried to eat her friend, and the tension filled meeting of these new people, she had grown a slight headache. She rubbed her forehead and continued walking.

"You're right," she faced the the younger girl. "She should be more careful about beating up cars. She's got a little bit of a temper."

She jogged to catch up with Corina. "Hey, you've got to calm down. I know how frustrated you must be. But you know we can't be taking such risks. You know what would have happened if that car had an alarm!"

[I'll speak for the group, until some of them get back online... sweatdrop ]

The rest of the group continued on their way, following behind the two new comers. There was tension in the group, and Mag knew that the military girl was probably going to be pissed at her if this turned out badly. Mag knew she was right, after all. A pregnant teenager was one thing to worry about. But a baby would put everyone in danger, so she decided that this would be the last time. She found she was getting attached to people, and in this world, that could be a bad thing. She was attached to the girl named Corina, for no other reason other than she was pregnant, and she couldn't be cruel enough to leave a pregnant girl on her own. She can't get attached to anyone else, if it means endangering herself or Robin.

-

Robin walked ahead of the group, in the middle of the road. She kind of felt like this position meant she was sort of their leader when in actuality, it was so the rest of the group could keep an eye on her. Her thoughts were entirely different than her sister's. She wanted the group to get bigger and bigger and bigger, and thought, in that way, civilization could start a new and everyone would be friends. But she wasn't that naive. She worried about the pregnant girl and her baby, but it never crossed her mind the dangers the two brought to the rest of the group. Robin's mind wandered, as she was thinking up baby names for this girl and her baby that she didn't even know.

[[i'm gonna skip adding pictures to my posts for now, laziness has kicked in.]]

"Calm down?!" Corina shouted. "CALM DOWN?!" She stomped a few paces ahead of Jessica. She knew she had to be careful. She knew if she got loud, or set of an alarm, or a gun shot sounded off, hordes of those things would come running from every direction.

Corina peered over her shoulder at the group behind her. The younger girl, who walked ahead of everyone, seemed the only one she'd probably get along with. She looked at her with such longing. Corina wanted to get to know her. She wanted to another friend other than Jessica.

She slowed down and let Jess walk ahead of her, letting the young girl catch up to her.

"Hi, I'm Corina." She smiled softly.

--

Jessica continued on. Search cars as she passed. Never seeing anything that caught her eye. She fondled the survival bracelet on her wrist. Anything to make the awkward silence seem less...awkward.

After what seemed like an eternity, Jessica stopped, looking up at the sun. It was beaming down hard. Sweat poured from her face. She reached into her bag and pulled out a bottle of water, gulping it down. I should be preserving this water. There isn't much more to drink, she thought to herself. Jessica was getting hungry. And if she was getting hungry, she knew Corina was for sure hungry.

[[for lack of back reading, i don't know how many is in your group. sweatdrop ]]

Cray

Cray looked at the pregnant girl. "Not to be a total jackass, but we can't take her... She needs a safezone, not a mobile group." Cray frowned, unhappy to have to say such a thing.

Corina stopped dead in her tracks.

"Not to be a total b***h, but what the hell do you think I'm looking for?" she snapped back.

Corina had had just about enough. She was hungry, tired, and fed up with everyone thinking she was some frail little girl.

--

Jessica heard Corina's retort and smirked. Turning around, she saw her blonde friend, hands on her hips, glaring at the male of the group.

"Corina, be careful. We don't know these people." Her hand went to her knife out of instinct. She walked over and tried to be the voice of reason.

"Listen, obviously Corina needs to be in a safe place. That's what my goal is. To get her somewhere we can lay our heads down, and not worry if something is going to sneak up on us. So you can either help us get her somewhere, or we'll go off on our own. Either way, you're not hurting my feelings."

[So far, there are 6 members in our group]

"Yeah, I know..." Mag whispered to Cray. She didn't want the pregnant girl to fly off the handle again if she overheard. "I know it was stupid... but maybe... we can ditch her once we get to the city..." Mag frowned, she didn't like the thought of it either, but really there were no positive alternatives to this situation. "I don't mean to put you guys in danger... but if it comes to that, because of me... just take care of Robin..." She mulled over in her head, what she may be forced to do, if her decision turned out to be a bad one.

-

Robin hesitated for a second, then answered, "I'm Robin..." She smiled at the girl, then out ahead of her as they neared the main gate to the city. At times, Robin felt a little lost for conversation in this new world. She used to be able to talk about anything: sports, games, boys. But now the only thing anyone talked about was survival this, and end of the world that. She tried to be a little more cheery, however. She figured this girl wasn't in the best place either. "So, have you thought of any names yet for your baby? Because I have a whole bunch you might like." she smiled.

[Darn, I take too long to post! Pretend I said that stuff AFTER you walked away >.<]

Cray

He leaned into Mag and whispered, "We could leave them in my house... I honestly think it's not that bad of a bunker... I lived in a f**king mansion, after all." Cray realized then that the fact that he lived so expensively might make them ask questions about his past. The one thing he didn't like to think about was his life was just as bad before the zombies as after.

Corina turned to Robin, "Yes, Andrew James. Andrew was my father's middle name, and James was my uncles first name." She smiled softly at Robin, ignoring the looks from the others.

Just then, she felt Andrew kick. She took it as a sign that he liked Robin. Her face, the innocence in her eyes, calmed Corina. She placed her hands on her belly, taking in the movement of her son. "He's kicking." She announced.

Mag nodded, "I guess we'll see when we get there." The group had reached the main gate to the city and all that lay ahead of them were seemingly endless empty streets. The city looked abandoned, but it was unwise to assume it was. Mag signaled for Robin to keep quiet, because a big empty city carries sound like echoes, so anything louder than a whisper could be heard for blocks.

Cray

Cray looked around, and assessed where they were. He talked softly, for no echos to be heard. "Pregnant girl... didn't catch your name-- I think I know a place you might be able to stay. We're on our way there anyway." Cray leaned on his cane and looked around, trying to see if any zombies were nearby.

Jessica stared ahead. What lay ahead was a vast new world to her. The towns she travelled through before where much much smaller than this one. She avoided large towns like this, for the pure and simple fact that you never knew what was around a corner, under a car, in the bathroom.

"I don't know about you guys," she whispered, "But I need to get something in my stomach."

She looked at Corina, who nodded in approval. "I agree. I'm famished."

"So where do we head?" she asked the group.

--

"Corina," she snipped at the fellow with the cane. "My name is Corina. And how far is this place you speak of?"

Cray

Cray sighed and took the lead. "Well, everyone--You too, angry pregnant girl-- follow me I guess." Cray had some food stocked up in his old house, but he didn't know if looters stole it by now. He lead the group through the streets, occasionally killing a lone zombie they found.
