Ooh, what a powerful political move...But there;d have to be someone to instigate it, to hire Nightshade. For fight Jagger... I'm not too good at fight scenes, but I can try... But maybe after I've killed the princess? =D

XP Yep. I don't mind if she dies. I mean, I'll be sad, but it's the only way the good guys are gonna win, 'cuz she's sure as hell not gonna become good, and will do anything to tear the country apart and destroy it, which means killing all of them. So she has to die. How y'all are gonna manage to do that... That's another issue entirely. XP

Too true, death is one way to solve the fact of the good guys, winning. But---

Duchess, you say your character is quite skilled in the badassery art of, well, being badass. But, every character needs a weakness, or at least, I think so,

I think it would be quite interesting if someone found out that weakness in your character and exploited it, whatever it may be. Which, can keep her in the game longer and not neccesarily mean she'll be murdered, (though it's always very likely.)


Anyway, just a thought.


As for Jagger, I was thinking of having him (incidentally) decide for himself that he's going to rule over the kingdom, since, the princess will not. Of course, I'm not quite sure how that will go over exactly.


Off my head, I'd have to assume that the heirs would be smart enough to fall back, leave the castle and for Alexandria. Jagger lived there his whole life, worked under and for nearly everyone he could. It's likely he'd be much more loved by the common people than the regent or any of the advisors or magistrates. After all, he is one of them.

So, la la la, heirs go to rally up the people, start spreading word of the lies of the regent king, and, claiming his rights to throne.

Haha, and maybe that spread of gossip can reach Kiera and the others, too, eventually?

Hm, when I think of weaknesses, I always first think of family, friends, love?

But your character doesn't seem like the type to let any specific person affect her, so, I'm gonna have to get a bit creative here. xD

Perhaps, she has some deep dark secret in her past? Something so disastruous that if the wrong person found out, she could either be killed, held hostage or kidnapped, or tortured?

Perhaps she has some innate ability that no one else has, that everyone wants to harbor?

Maybe she could get trapped? Like, someone sent her to kill someone (else) in Alexandria. She goes, completes her mission, but gets side tracked. There just so happens to be a priceless jewel on the person she had murdered, so of course, seeing gold in its reflection-- she takes it.

However, that jewel could be cursed, could have poisoned her, or rendered her weak, or knocked her out, and the jewel could actually put her under the control of whomever it was that crafted such a deadly jewel. Perhaps she can be the one to capture Jagger and Abigail?



Or, going at a completely different angle, you say she's corrupt? Perhaps she can go dancing back and forth between Jagger and Abigail, and the regent king and his advisors?

She can, in a way, play a double agent. See who'll pay her back more, who's worth it, who would she rather see sit the throne. Basically, it's almost like she's in charge of everything in that position. She can choose to kill, or keep, whomever she wants, and it can bring the story to a climatic distressed ending, or a surprisingly happy ending? Depending on what, or who, she chooses to keep alive. After all, it all depends on what shes going to get out of it.



Anyway, that's just a bunch of spitfire rounds of stuff I can think of, especially for a mercenary sellsword-- who practically killed off all of their weakness from the beginning. Hopefully, this can help inspire you. XD

That's very true, for some reason, it wasn't until right after I had made my last post did I decide to go look at her profile.

Perhaps, there's something even better they can offer than a world in destruction. I mean.. if a world was in chaos, everyone would be on edge, everyone fighting, and stabbing at the first person they see, essentially, maybe, making it harder for her to go about and do what she does. Kill for money. Who's gonna pay for murder when murder is already everywhere.
