By this moment, Loreno had already finished his first pie and was tearing into the second box...looks like his hunger finally bested his willpower. He had pie bits all over his face and fingers, but his clothes were still perfectly clean. He hadn't really made mention of Orin's squirming, grabbing the knife, and cutting his pie...though he did say three words in response to Orin's pie piece hitting the ground, spoken through a mouthful of his own pie.
"Fhree feconh wule..."
He then continued eating the second of the pies he grabbed. He really would rather have had chicken pot for the variety of pie, but eh...he'll take what he can get right now.

Niro laughed rather hard at the while mishap with Orin and his pie. At least until Loreno spoke, where he looked confusedly at the group. "Three second rule?" Niro had never heard of the three second rule, though he knew it must have had to do with food or Loreno would not have said it. Niro wondered if it was his first attempt at a joke or he was being serious.

Orin dove for the pie, over shot, and ended up lying with it smashed against his stomach. "Ugh... First the grass stains, now pie stains? What's next, blood stains?" He stood, attempting to wipe the pie away, but succeeding in only smearing the filling into his shirt. With a tired sigh, he sat back down and pulled a second piece from the box and took a successful bite from it.

Loreno swalled his food before explaining.
"The three second rule is a rule that if you drop food on the ground or floor, you have three seconds to pick it up before it becomes dirty to the point of 'you shouldn't eat that.'"
He then finished off the pie he was eating before Orin left hm an opening...now -that- was actually a joke he could go for. He chuckled a little before speaking with an absolutely straight face.
"...you -do- realize that blood stains can easily be arranged...right, Orin?"
He didn't speak really in a threatening manner or make any threatening movements...instead he simply went for another pie. He was starving at this moment and just wanted to fill his stomach with something...

"Humans are such odd but, fascinating creatures. At first I thought this was supposed to be a punishment, now I think its a vacation." He chucked. "If you'd like I could fix that so you never drop the pie to start with or is that abuse of power now?" It was hard not to be happy around this pair, he finally finished off the remains of the apple pie and got up to grab another one at random, then a thought occurred to him.
"Why do humans make pies of meat? You have cook them and then cook them again, but with fruit ones you cook and eat them. It seems so counter productive to have to cook them then cook them again." What Niro was getting at, was more of rewarming the meat pies, not actually cooking them twice over. He looked intently over at Loreno when he made the 'threat' and then realized he was playing around. So Niro went back to his new pie with quite a bit of enthusiasm.

"HAHAHAHAHA. I am simply dying of laughter. No, seriously, I'm dead." Orin finished his piece, grabbed a third, and briefly considered throwing it at Loreno. He stuffed it into his mouth before he could do anything else. "Mrrrffmm frmmrmff."

[Damn...I was hoping you -would- throw the pie at Loreno XD lol]
Loreno paused in his eating frenzy long enough to explain the meat pie issue that seemed to baffle Niro.
"Well, Niro...the meat pies are a bit more filling than the fruit ones. So a meat pie goes further than a fruit one in the way of filling you up and keeping you from getting hungry. As for the cooking it twice...after cooking it the first time, it is either frozen to be resold for later consumption so that it stays good longer...or else leftovers are refrigerated for the same reason."
That...was wordier than he usually got. But for some reason, he felt like he wanted to help Niro learn a bit more about the human world. He wasn't sure why. Oh well...ironically enough, he supposed only time would tell. He simply let out a small smirk in reaction to Orin, though. He wasn't quite sure what was going on with him...Orin seemed to be rather a clown sort. Loreno supposed he could be amusing enough...

The headache was getting worse, but Orin did his best to ignore it. "Meat pies... Oh you guys crack me up." He put his unfinished pie into the box and stood. "Right, ladies, I can't stand any more sugar, I need some actual food. Anyone want anything substantial like a burger? Wait, before I get anything, I've got to change. Grass stains are stylish and all, but Pie stains? They're so last year."

Loreno finished off the pie he was on...he had eaten five in total by this point...before he licked his fingers clean and then used the grass near him as a napkin. He still had managed to not get a single crumb on himself, amazingly enough with how he was eating. With his hands now fairly clean and dry, he put his gloves back on and stood up, nodding slightly....though he did glare slightly at Orin with the lady comment. He was getting a little tired of that sort of talk, in general.
"Some meat does sound good...that was decent enough for an appetizer. Let's hurry onward then..."
With that, Loreno would simply wait for the group to start moving again before following....though he did give Niro a silent and slight nod of gratitude for the pies.

Orin pulled out his wallet and frowned. "I'll be happy to buy, but I'm outta cash. Wait, we can use my debit card! It should have enough to buy a few burgers or whatever." He pulled out the blue and silver card and slipped his closed wallet back into his back pocket. "I've got to run back to my room and change, so I'll have to catch up to you guys at the cafe... No, you guys better hit up a burger joint. There's one about a block away from the campus- Sandy's Burgers, i think- that you guys can hit up. I'll give you my card, if you promise to get me a number 6 and a coke. My PIN is 8158." The card, after a small delay, was given to Loreno, mainly because Orin had a strong feeling he'd actually know how to use it. "I'll meet you there in a few!" With that said, Orin turned and began to jog back to his dorm to change.

[Technical problem: A mag strip requires a signature that matches the card, a pin chip requires a code. Neither of which they know and unless Loreno can forge it might get interesting...]
Niro looked to Loreno. "Does he not realize what the definition of a time stop is? It's like a magical key that opens anything." He shook his head. "I'll have to get a few of these meat pies later; they sound interesting. Burgers are meat between breads with seeds and veggie stuff. Oh and things that come out of little packets or bottles." With a nod he pulled off his jacket off the tree branch and slipped into it. He looked at the few pies that were left.
"Don't tell Orin." Niro chucked as he picked up the pies and somehow with a bit of wrestling, managed to fit the pies box and all, into his jacket! "Hm... Doesn't show to badly." He looked to Loreno, "its bigger on the inside. How do to think I have so many apples?" Niro gathered up the garbage and carried to the nearest can after they left the clearing. It was a little noticeable that, that particular side of his coat didn't flap as much as the other. "Now, shall we be off?" He fixed his tie and adjusted his collar, hoping Loreno knew what to do.

((What. I didn't even think of that! xD Good save! I'll edit my post to fix that.))
Orin slowed to a walking speed as he got closer and closer to his dorm's door. With one swift, fluid motion, he pulled his key from his key chain, unlocked the door, and slipped inside. Like a ninja, he thought with a smirk. The first thing he did was pop a couple pain pills to keep his headache at bay, then dug through his clothes, smelled a few shirts, and finally got changed into a pair of shorts and a questionably clean t-shirt. Right, back to the gang, he thought as he left his dorm.
The eyes watched with pure envy as Orin, their Orin socialized with the other two men. How dare he? Wasn't the murder of his brother warning enough? When the trio entered the trees, the telepath grew furious and had quietly followed them to the clearing. Orin's mental barriers were strong, so the telepath began the long, arduous process of burrowing into his mind. It smirked when Orin used the same knife that his brother had slit his throat with to cut his pie. Of course, when Orin declared to the group that he was hungry for a burger and needed to get changed, the telepath crept out of the woods and hid in the crowd of students.
The eyes were immediately drawn to Orin as he ran out of the woods and to his dorm. Oh, how the telepath longed to run with him, to joke with him, but instead it masked its presence in the crowd like it did in the woods, and continued to bore into his mind. Patience was a virtue, one of the few that the telepath honored.

Loreno listened and nodded slightly as Orin explained where to go and what his card's PIN was. He himself had a card, but only used it when necessary. It was a very secure account, and he always deposited the money in directly. He had already been asked questions by cops and FBI before, but they never managed to find any dirt on him...as when he sensed them coming, he always managed to hide his weapon in various places they would never find it. As he didn't do drugs of any kind, they never could nail him for ANYTHING. Thankfully, they had recently given up on questioning him on his line of work.
"Very well...a number six with a coke, and eight one five eight as the code. Got it. We'll see you there, then....hurry, and be careful."
He watched as Orin then ran off...he admitted, he felt a little uneasy. Though he wasn't sure why right off. He dismissed it at this moment as still being hungry.
"That's pretty much correct...though depending on the burger, there may not be vegetables at all, or else different condiments."
He then turned to Niro and watched as he crammed all the boxes into his jacket....interesting.
"...so...let me see if I understand this right. Either your jacket is really big in the way of storage space...or you have an extradimensional holding pocket in your jacket....correct?"
He had heard theories of such things...but he had before scoffed at the possibility. Now though...he couldn't help but wonder if maybe that was the case? Hmmm...no matter. He began walking in the general direction Orin had mentioned before, towards...Sandy's Burgers, was it? He doubted that it would take too horribly long...though for some reason, something was continuously nagging at him that there was something amiss...something wasn't quite right or in place. One of those feelings that you get when you sense that something might happen, but won't know what until it does...and it wouldn't be the best thing in the world, either. Enough time in his line of work would do that...and sometimes the sense wasn't accurate either. Only time would tell at this point....for now, he focused on finding this burger joint and getting the food for everyone.

((Sorry about my lack of posting over the weekend. I had a major case of writer's block. xD))
Orin smiled to himself as he saw Stacy, the girl who hit on him earlier that day, struggle at getting a random guy's attention. He walked right by their table, and when she didn't bat an eyelash at him, he celebrated in his head. Speaking of his head, the pain pills he took earlier did nothing to halt the advances of his headache, which felt as though his head was splitting apart. Maybe a nice, juicy burger will make it go away, he reasoned, his logic horribly skewed by the headache and the sugar from the pies.
The telepath watched as Orin passed the table. Oh, Orin, how I long to walk and talk with you, the telepath thought safely in a heavily fortified mind, eyes glued to the man. You're mine. Mine. My prize. None shall touch you! I'll protect you with all my powers. When that other man, Francis, hit you, the next day he died, yes? That was me, oh wonderful Orin. Luckily, for Orin, the telepath had not been broadcasting this to him, mainly because the mental barriers were in place. When Orin turned towards the town, the telepath got up from the table and followed with a masked mind and hidden intentions.

"Extradimensional?" Niro looked at him with a chuckle that clearly said someone was of lesser intelligence. "If you mean my pocket is supposed to be a portal, no. It goes a bit like this..." He flipped open the coat pocket to show a few specs of dust. "It makes everything 1000X smaller when you put it in. Now watch this." He thought about apple pie and put his hand in, the box in question jumped into his hand and as he pulled it out it grew to be the right size. "Now back in..." With a little effort, as the box had to resize as he was forcing it in, Niro put it back
"Just remember if you annoy me, you're going to have a timeout in the pocket." He laughed before looking alertly around. "Did you... Probably not." He pulled out the watch and used it as a watch for the first time. "Possibly but, time is not linear. Therefore, my arrival could have screwed it up..." He tucked it away again. "The problem with being me, is I already know, give or take, everything that is going to happen long before it happens. Except, what is going to happen to you and Orin because my appearance to you has altered your time line." He was trotting along in the wake of Loreno.
"So, some of the stuff that could happen, wont. Things that shouldn't happen, will. Of course I know mostly what I'm changing, as time forks happen every so often. I know the forks as well, so its not like what could happen is going to be unknown to me. The conundrum if you will, is what do I change, do I change anything at all and what will my actions effect?" He yawned a little. "Its not like I know everything single detail of your lives anymore and the millions of ways to screw it up for you. I mean I almost killed Orin with a time lock, that would have never happened if I wasn't involved so I didn't know it was going to happen. So naturally, because I'm changing time right now I no longer know what your future, or Orin's is."
He pulled out the watch again. "I will say this though, I think you might want to detour a little and go thataway through this ally unless you want to get involved in something we don't have time for." He pointed toward the ally, "I might listen to the egotistical man with questionable sanity if I was you. Just saying." It wasn't like Niro truly cared what Loreno did, a human or two didn't make a difference. Contrary to the odd belief of humans, rarely did one person make a huge difference in the importance of the world. Fixed events were fixed events and the job of his lackeys were make sure it happened and remained that way. He really didn't want Loreno to meet one of them either, makes things complicated you see.
