rahna Zephyrkitty I'm going to limit this to series that either were animated or had some sort of U.S. release this year. Otherwise this is going to be way too long. - Tiger & Bunny- Wandering Son- Steins;Gate- Revolutionary Girl Utena- Cardcaptor Sakura- Bunny Drop- Toradora! Also, how many people follow currently airing shows? Would there be any interest in threads for shows like Future Diary (episode 12 aired this week) or Fate/Zero (the first half finished up, but the second half airs in March) where we can complain about waiting a week for the next episode and speculate on what will happen next? EDIT: I completely blanked on Toradora. This has been fixed. -holds up hand- Currently airing shows are fine, I'd be shocked stupid if people didn't follow them. Include them in your list and I'll see if I can post them. On another note, "Steins; Gate", "Bunny Drop", and "Revolutionary Girl Utena" I chose not to put up. The first, because I can't find a description of it's anime adaption. The second is just messed up, I think I'm scarred just from reading the description. I don't want the last one up because the article said it was Yuri. Everything else is there (and thank you for making me read about Toradora, because now I want to read it.) I apologize for taking so long. I haven't started watching the winter shows yet, but I'm watching these ongoing shows right now: - Future Diary - Chihayafuru - Persona 4 - Guilty Crown (don't start this thread unless you're fine with weekly posts by me about how the show is really stupid, though) - Fate/Zero (although the second season doesn't start until April) - Natsume Yuujinchou Steins;Gate is set in roughly modern-day time. The main character, Okabe, is a self-proclaimed mad scientist and he and a few friends end up creating a machine that sends text messages to the past. The Bunny Drop anime is just about Daikichi adapting to life as a single parent, and is really sweet and heartwarming. I've heard that the manga ending doesn't fit with this at all, and I was actually going to put a warning in there that people should stick to the anime. But No. 6 is BL, and that got a thread!RGU's yuri elements are a weird beast. Ikuhara has said that he wanted Utena/Anthy in the series from the beginning - and they're definitely a couple in the movie although the furthest it gets is kissing - but it's fairly subtle in the series. I've seen some RGU fans argue that in the series Utena and Anthy don't have any romantic relationship whatsoever. There's also Juri, but her feelings are unrequited, so... I wouldn't recommend the show to you, though. It's not yuri porn, but it's still got it's share of content that you'd have issues with. I hope you enjoy Toradora!. I was really impressed by it; it didn't seem like something I'd really enjoy based on various aspects of it, but it's a really solid show and I'm enjoying rewatching it with a friend. My friend wasn't very happy about our last stopping place, though. xd

I wish you'd mentioned that before. If I put it up, I'll probably have people talking about the anime and manga. I don't think I can tolerate talk about the latter's ending, yeesh. Yes yes, I know! I didn't find that out until after it was posted though. >.< Wolf pleaded with me, saying it was only one kiss. Still though...-shivers- I can't keep that up if I won't post RGU though, that'd make me a real hypocrite. So in the anime, it's pretty much friendship? (That's what I thought when I first learned of the series.) -thinks- I'm probably going to end up deleting No. 6 and having nothing to do with either of them. XD Where did you two last leave off?

Yes. Steins;Gate spoilers: The whole show starts with him accidentally sending a message back in time saying that Kurisu was killed and ending up in a different timeline (where Kurisu isn't dead) as a result. The group quickly figures out that they built a time machine, and start experimenting with it. After figuring out how to control the time machine, they start using it to actually change things. They also come up with a way to transmit memories back in time, since it's impossible to send matter through time. Then they find out that SERN CERN knew about their experiments and Mayuri is killed when they raid the lab.
The second half of the series is Okabe trying to save Mayuri. In this series, the text messages change what timeline the world is in. However, timelines that are too similar will merge and have the same result in the long run, so Okabe has to drastically change things or Mayuri will still die in the new timeline.Sorry about that. I assumed you just read through a synopsis of requested anime instead of a plot summary. You could always put a note in the first post that the thread is only for the anime. You could start those thread(s) and never look at them again. ; )Can I ask for a list of content that you won't post, then? I understand yaoi/yuri hentai, but most places will still let you talk about shows with BL/yuri content. We stopped at the Christmas episode, so after a couple of massive developments with the central cast. We managed to finish it earlier this week though.

I won't hold with hentai, yaoi/yuri, incest, or anything that really messes up Catholicism.

Aww but what about all of those awesome anime about demon brothers having sex with each other while molesting precious moments figurines under a hunter's moon as Harry Potter plays on a nearby TV?

I have to ask though, why Harry Potter?

I have to ask though, why Harry Potter? Lol about ten years ago some Catholic church started a protest to get the Harry Potter books banned in schools because it taught children witchcraft and pagan worship. They boycotted the movies and whatnot.

rahna Fascinating! I can post a thread on the S;G anime now, thanks. I would've read stuff on the anime, but the article I used had no such information. Reminding people that it's just for the anime is probably a really good idea. (I'll do that, thanks.) Because I don't do that already? I won't hold with hentai, yaoi/yuri, incest, or anything that really messes up Catholicism. Sounds good. I can at least give the threads some activity. xd Going down the list: - Hentai: I don't watch it. - Incest: Cousin marriages are actually legal in Japan, so I'm not all that likely to complain about relationships between cousins. Anything closer? Do not want. gonk - Messes up Catholicism: As far as 'let's take an existing religion and use it a a major part of our show without doing any research', I find that kind of annoying. If it's more of 'let's establish some sort of religion and/or deity(s) in this series but not necessarily tie it to any existing religion', I don't have a problem with it so long as it's well-written. I actually find religion in general really interesting, so I obviously like seeing what people do with it in fiction. - Yaoi/Yuri: I am kind of a yuri fangirl, and I don't have a problem with BL if it's well-written. I can try to keep to shows where it's subtext or a side relationship, but 'don't talk about BL or yuri ever' is pretty much impossible. Mirai Maku rahna Yes, well, most captains aren't so vehemently against such things. I'm sorry Zephyr, I am. I won't hold with hentai, yaoi/yuri, incest, or anything that really messes up Catholicism. Only anime I've ever given 11/10 to. xd
