Oh, but one thing was for sure.
Yuffie was NOT pleased to see HIM.
So she brushed herself off, skipped strategically off a few steps, turned around, smiled, and held her hands behind her back. "Oh, thank you thank you thank you!" she gushed, though she was lying the entire time. He didn't know her though----what would he expect? "I was so scaaared!"

Rikku grinned again, though she wasn't entierely sure she wanted to just go an take a nap. She'd been sooped up on that tiny litteltle boat for too long; she wanted to do something. Myabe some ugly would pop out and this time, this time, she's wipe the floor with him. Oh she would indeed. But, he Yunnie was the boss.
"After you then. I don't know my way around, so I'll just follow your lead."

Irivine whistled a merry tune as he melded with teh tourist crowd. Well more specifically, mingled with the tourists girls.
"..and I swear to you eight of the things just popped up out of nowhere. A bloody ambush, I'm telling you. Murder in theri beady little eyes. Now normally, five or so aren't so bad, but nine of those things. I barely walked out of that fight. Came here for some healing, to get away from it all, you know what I'm saying, baby?'
"Oh Irivine," sighed the blonde on his right arm, "That must of been horrible..."
"Baby, you have no idea. Out away from civilzation like that, with none of the comforts of home...."
"You're so brave" said the redhaed on his other arm (the blonde's cheif rivial at this moment).
Irivine smiled down at the redhead, but noticed with great amusement the sourlook teh blonde cast hr way. Hmm, he might want to commit theri names to memeory. Now what was it May-something and what now?

This time he remembered the safety latch....after flicking it he nudged the pie with his foot, the thing was blown to smithereens. He made a disgusted face and turned back to the girl.
"Don't worry, he won't be bothering you again..........or anyone for that matter. Anyways, as I said, I'm Laguna.....maybe you can help me, I'm here looking for someone. A ninja.....called.....Yuffie Kisaragi, do you by any chance know of him?"

Yuffie, mentally, was utterly infuriated.
HER, a MAN?!!!!!!
But outwardly, as she was trained highly in the skill of deception, she showed no reaction other than bewilderment and sweetness. "Oh, my, him?!! You don't want to face HIM!" she meeped, pretending to be afraid. "He's the most powerful ninja on the island! Not even I would even mention his NAME around here!!! He'll kill you for the mere MENTION---" and at this, she dramatically dropped to a whisper, looking fearfully around the treetops. "He might even be here now!"
She could hear the tourists coming closer-----just a few steps more, just a FEW BLOODY STEPS! and they'd be hers!

His eyes beamed. "Oh I hope so.....I've got to find him and quick. I need his help.....I'm here to find him and bring him to a place called.....Midgar, although I don't know where THAT is either. A friend of mine has forseen a great evil growing over the world, she said a great battle will take place between the forces of good and evil.....really cool, apocolyptic stuff. And she dreamed that Yuffie Kisaragi would be instrumental to the triumph of good. One of my advisors, Doc Odine said that all ninjas hail from Wutai.....so here I am. Could you help me find him? I don't have much time before the rendevous."
Just then he heard footsteps closeby.....noting the girls reaction, he assumed it was another ill-tempered beast, he cocked his gun and readied himself.

"..And so I was teh only one to walk away from that bloody field. They almost beat me, but I survived and I had just enough strenght to get myself to a cleric. After I came to, I realized I needed a vacation. Am I glad I ended up here. The company is much more," Irivine smirked, "enjoyable than what I've been used to, know what I'm saying?"
"Oh Irivine, your so exciting," chirped the blonde
The redhead shot the other girl (Al-somehting maybe?) a look and Irvine once again feigned ignorance.
"I can't belive you walked away and recovered without a scractch," she simpired as she gave teh blonde a superior look.
Irivine sighed as the group continued to move alogn the path, "Well, not completly without a scratch. I got a few...scars. Care to see them, my lovely ladies?"
Both of the grils eye's widend and they nodded in glee as Irivine unbuttoned his shirt. 'See now that one is from the nasty fight I just told you about. One inch to the right and the thing would have gotton me in the heart..."

Yuffie raised an eyebrow. Of course, all of this was rather amusing---- if someone dreamt of her, they could at least get the sex right, but what could you expect from a man? They always expected the hero to be just that--- a hero, not a heroine. Figured.
She turned around, looking behind her, but she turned back to Laguna, gesturing for him to follow her. "C'mon! I'll lead the way. You don't have to worry about that. Go ahead, put that away now. Put the safety on. We don't allow weapons like that to be used in the city anyhow--- and I swear to the Planet, if that thing goes off, and takes out the bridge, I'm letting everyone skin you, and let Yuffie kill you himself! Do you even comprehend how dangerous it is to run around with that thing???"
She crossed her arms, shook her head and sighed. "You already scared off anything that MIGHT attack with all that ruckus, let's be realistic." she tried again, this time more gentle. "You're a newcomer here after all. You need to learn the rules."

Yuna laughed, "You're a bit over eager for us to run into trouble. But I agree. They won't get the best of us a second time around." she began walking. "Everything looks the same... and it's all... it's all so dark and dreary. This place looks devoid of any cheer at all."

Aeris in the meanwhile had mini-sized her staff--- it was far more convenient to carry that way (as well as explained why she never carried it in the games, at least for now). While the sections were ready to twist together once she needed it, for now, she was fine.
However, she didn't return to the Church---no, no, something seemed different. She couldn't place her finger on it. She figured she could at least head to the Wall Market and browse around in her spare time.....
But she noticed two people who looked awfully out of place, two women to be specific. She tilted her head in awe. Well, she'd keep a close eye on them, she thought, suddenly looking down at the wares before her, trying to play it low. Or, perhaps, she thought, glancing to her flowers....
As they came towards her, she looked up, holding out her basket. "Hi! Would you like to buy a flower, only 1 gil!" she offered.
Planet, Mother, please, just buy a few....

Seymour scoured the slums of Midgar....truly disgusted at the blatant disreguard for public welfare, and the ignorant use of forbidden machina. Suddenly something caught his eye....could it be? Oh this was marvelous......a chance at retribution so soon. Summoner Yuna......and only one guardian.....the weakest no less. Just then he heard the voice.
"You have the power Maester.......use my knowlege and strength to vanquish your foes. Only then will you be worthy to be my general."
"Yes....my mistress"
He felt the power of Jenova swelling inside of him.....and with a wave of his staff, 3 Guard Hounds appeared before him.
"Destroy them.." He commanded and they obeyed.

Yuna started as the flower girl appeared before them. "Um, gomen nasai... but we don't have any money." she smiled, "But the flowers... flowers ACTUALLY grow here? This place seems so dark..." the summoner glanced back to Rikku. "But, we're looking for a place to stay, though with no gil that might be a problem... Do you know of..."
But before she could finish her sentence, a horrible monster appeared in front of them.
Quickly, her summoners staff twirled in her hands as she pointed it at the fiend. "Rikku, looks like you'll get your wish."

Yuffie shrugged, looking around cautiously. "He could be anywhere...!"
But right at that moment, the trap went off, more likely than not catching her prey. She jumped in surprise even if it didn't---- besides, if he somehow, by some odd chance escaped, it COULDN'T look like HER fault.
Funny enough, the same thing happened to Irvine and the two tourists, as if on cue.
Aeris in the meanwhile assembled her staff with breakneck speed---while she wasn't a strong physical attacker, she knew this place better than these two, and she felt partially responsible for their welfare. She didn't understand it. It just was.
"Be careful!" she warned, "These things are dangerous!"
