Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯ "B.. but Ms Romane!" Cid responded, his big green eyes pleading to her~ Yes he was unintentionally giving her the puppy eyes. "You must see this program with me! It is of a panda bear who speaks English, and he is attempting to learn wushu, which the snake, crane, tigress, viper, and mantis all know. Their teacher is also a red panda, and his master is a tortoise! Who greatly reminds me of the monk who watched over me." So his kind of dad, but not really.. still Cid looked really excited about watching the programming, which is probably why he was attempting to convince her to watch it with him. Cid looked down, taking the medicine, clearly bummed out. Cid only had one sip, before he sat it down and said, "How odd, I just realized that I have been feeling better since the moment you exited this room. But this sort of stomach discomfort seems to have came back at your arrival, Ms Romane, maybe it is you who is stricken with a sickness that makes myself ill? Such as an allergy! Are you wearing any perfume of sorts...?" Cid wasn't allergic to anything.
Before he could ask any more questions to try to see if she was making him sick, someone rang the doorbell! Cid quickly stood up and went to the door; checking through the peephole first as Romane has instructed him in the past, before unlocking all twenty locks. He opened the door, and paid the money, the delivery boy seemed a bit too happy, since Cid didn't have change so he told him to keep the extra amount and that he apologizes. He then came back and sat the pizza's on the table in front of the couch, along with the 2-liter he got with his order, and said to Romane. "The television made them out to be amazing, so I bought some! I have one for yourself that seems like you would enjoy it." He said, opening the pizza and placed it closer to Romane. Then opened the cheesy one. They looked amazing! Like the television! Cid took a slice, and bit into it happily.. then was amazed by the taste! This was the best tasting thing he has ever had his entire life!
It was like pure cheesy joy filled with tomatoy joy! "Ms Romane! You must try these, they are incredible." Especially Romane's. No one orders radish, onion and garlic without wanting something 'special' mixed into them. Actually it was code in this particular pizza place that if you mean radishes, onions and garlic, you want something special mixed into them! (That means drugs XD Did say I wanted her high again >:0!)

Normally, when someone would give her a pleading look such as that, Romane could ignore it and move on with her own task. She had seen it from countless people before, of course she was immune to the 'puppy eyes' tactic! ..Well, she was immune it most. Cid's seemed to be much more potent than the usual begging eyes for, when she met them with her own stern set, she faltered. She felt a rush of guilt for trying to make Cid feel better when he obviously was enjoying his time with the television more.. Which was odd, since she knew that this was for his own good and watching television wouldn't benefit him at all, especially not cartoons. She didn't understand it much, but she knew listening to him was making her stomach feel odd.. as if.. as if they were in knots! Had she caught the illness?! Damn it, this wasn't good! If both of them were sick, then who would stay on alert for any intruders?! Unless she got the dogs to do it, but she hadn't properly trained them to do anything other than bark when someone strange comes in.
She hadn't replied at all to Cid, simply standing their in conflict on what she should do – until he suggested that she could be the one making him sick. An allergy? To her? That.. didn't make much sense. He had been around her before without complaining an issue with his stomach – this is the first time he's even said something! She wasn't wearing any perfume – she didn't know what was in that bottle! - and she knew he was the one who had just made her sick, so it couldn't have been her.. Ah. But, she had turned off the TV when she entered, while he had turned it on when she left.. Perhaps it was the television that was making him feel better! She was about to inform him of that theory when Cid left at the sound of the doorbell. Doorbell?! She felt her heart jump and her throat dry at the thought of someone at the door, stiffening. Cid had gone to check it out, however, it should be alright. They were fine. She turned and leaned against the door frame, deciding whether she should take a peek to see who was at the door, but before a decision could be made, Cid had already returned.
..With pizza. She looked at the closed door, then back at Cid who seemed to be admitting to the heinous act of ordering the deliveryman to come to her home. She almost had a heart attack! She was almost having one now! One of the locks was undone! He forgot – missed it – ah, she.. she could just see someone barging in with a combat knife, machine gun, maybe even a goat! She hated goats! She swallowed and released her grip on the doorframe to scurry over to the front door, hurriedly locking it while forcing herself not to shake. She looked through the peephole, making sure no one was still out there, before releasing a breath. This was no time to relax, however, as they could return! Or have planted a bomb in the pizzas. She gnashed her teeth anxiously as she came back to where Cid sat, enjoying his pizza slice with a gullibility that irritated her more.
“I would appreciate it if you were not to ask a stranger to the house again. Ordering food without informing me beforehand is irresponsible and dangerous – if you are poisoned due to that pizza, it is your own fault for inviting danger in.” She snapped as she went to the kitchen to fetch a fork, coming back to carefully stab every inch of her own pizza. Too flat to hide a bomb and there weren't any chips or drugs – drugs. She hadn't had a chance to buy her own drug test kit! She frowned and glanced at the cheese pizza Cid was eating. ..It smelled nice.. And it had radishes in it, she could tell! Plus some odd green toppings she assumed was spinach. But, she hadn't.. she didn't know what was in it! She hadn't eaten in awhile, either. She was too nervous that afternoon about going on her first friend outing to make anything to eat! It was only just hitting her how hungry she was.. and here was some food, ready to be eaten! And kill her. She hadn't had pizza before, though.. It took too long to make and she was always missing an ingredient. She glanced at Cid again, sitting down next to him on the couch since the floor would never appeal.
“I dislike putting your safety at risk, Mr. Kuan-yin, however..” He was the one to order the pizzas! And he didn't seem to mind eating his own! She frowned even so and turned her pizza box towards him, “..if you could test it first..? I would be grateful and do wish to enjoy it as well, but..” She couldn't be as ignorant as he when it came to food. Honestly, how anyone could put their life at risk for a simple pleasure was beyond her.

[ Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯ Cid was currently in pizza heaven, which is why he didn't respond to Romane lecturing him about strangers and poison. He was far too busy enjoying his new favorite food of all time. The only way it can get better is if they added rice! Or having it with tea! With.. with pizza tea! No wait, warm tomato sauce! Dipping the pizza in warm tomato sauce of some kind.. or pizza sauce. Delicious pizza sauce. Once Romane spoke about him putting his life in danger, he smiled at her and nodded. But before taking one of the pizzas; "I apologize for my actions, but could we possibly watch the television once more..? I wish to see if the panda bear manages to defeat the evil tiger." Cid really hoped the panda bear did! Since he wasn't raised by TV in the least bit, he didn't know that the hero always wins in movies, so every movie to him is an epic tale that has him no the edge of his seat. Even if it's a children's movie.
Cid took one of Romane's pizza slices now. He enjoyed onions but not so much radishes. The green things - which he also assumed was spinach - somewhat bothered him, though they did smell rather nice. Cid took a bite of this pizza, and waited a moment, before eating that whole slice, and turning to Romane. "I must add though. I highly doubt that someone would poison pizza, as they would be killing their customers, and thus not have returning customers to purchase their product once more, causing them to lose business." It made perfect sense. Now that he must have pleased her with his mouth - by eating that pizza for her - he turned to his own cheesy delight.

The television? Ah, well, she had the theory that it was what cured Cid and since she still felt odd herself, it would be the time to try it out. However much she disliked children's cartoons since they did nothing more than brainwash the youth with skewed morals.. That was what she remembered being one of the reasons a cartoon was banned in her household growing up. Though, Paprika had never used a cartoon to brainwash her.. It was more of an empty room and medication that had done that. That either meant she was a weak person – which was nothing new to her – or that children's cartoons only worked to brainwash children. However child-like Cid was, he was no child and neither was she. So, without much more convincing, she located the remote control and turned the television on once more for them to enjoy. Well, for Cid to enjoy, she hated cartoons like this. They made no sense – talking animals?! Why would anyone even bother to write a story on something like that?! This could have just as easily been done with humans!
She frowned at the blubbery, animated panda on the screen, then looked back to Cid so she could witness him trying her pizza for her. Using a civilian as a taste tester.. she should be ashamed with herself! He could die so that she could have a slice of pizza – what was wrong with her?! Being away from the job for a short period must have done more to her conscience than she knew. She almost stopped him, but Cid was really scarfing that pizza down! It didn't give her much of a chance to tell him to stop. She lowered the hand she had raised slightly to get his attention, watching him for any odd behavior or for him to drop dead. Romane wasn't sure which would happen, but she knew one of them must.. ah? He was talking just fine, it seemed. Still eating the pizza.. Still alive.
“It does not have to be the entrepreneur poisoning the pizza – someone unrelated may have broken in and done it themselves out of spite. A fired employee or the mentally unwell, there is rarely a plausible reason behind their actions.” She pointed out, her attention mainly on the pizza now that she was relieved to know he wasn't infected with some disease. Eating it with her hands wasn't something she wanted to do.. So, she separated a slice, set it on top of the box, and cut out a bite with her fork. She still inspected it for a moment, hesitating before taking the bite. One chew – no strange flavors.. Two chews. Nothing unusual with her demeanor. The room wasn't spinning and she didn't feel sick.. This was actually pretty good! Some of the flavors were a bit too sweet for her, but the radish and onion offset it enough for her to enjoy it. There was that fear of only her slice being contaminated, but Romane was used to being afraid during everyday tasks. She looked over at Cid to agree, “This is quite good. Are you feeling better yet?” She added – the television was on.. How long did it take for it's healing effect to start? She had been in the kitchen for at least twenty minutes, anywhere within that time frame.

Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯ (Lets skip about 20 minutes. >:0 This isn't some weak s**t you get behind an alley Serend, this is high quality stuff here, what else can you expect from Paprika?!)
Cid was very much so entertained by the battle between Po and Tai Lung! With the Wuxi Finger Hold! He must learn this move, it seemed very powerful. Very powerful indeed. Though, the scene with Po's father, who was oddly a Goose, made him wonder of his own father. A coward who abandoned his own son by a temple! Naming him Kuan-yin before leaving! Such.. such anger Cid must feel! If he wasn't so busy feeling awesome about it. Sure it's a silly name, but there was probably a good reason. Didn't change the fact that if he ever met the man, he planned to kill him. Ah, but that's a story for a later day, if Cid is to stay that is. Wait.. wait, they had pizza!
Cid sat up right and took another slice, he didn't feel hungry, but felt an odd need to eat. But with every bite he did not feel more full than he was with the bite before that! Was his stomach turning into a black hole? That would be so awesome... A whole solar system in his stomach!

The movie was so.. so very stupid. She couldn't get past the fact that they were animals and they were talking! At the same time! It didn't make sense – it was just frustrating as to why someone would do that! Who thought to themselves that it was a good source of entertainment to make animals talk and practice kung fu?! She didn't see the point! Not to mention having a goose and panda make someone food was beyond disgusting. She didn't want to know what the 'secret ingredient' was, but she knew it couldn't have been beneficial to her health. Though, when they finally told the viewers that the secret ingredient was.. nothing.. she could only frown in further confusion. ..Ah, no, scratch that, she couldn't help but smile at it. Which was odd, but Romane didn't care to wonder on that as she continued to munch on the pizza. It was.. admittedly very good and now that she could fool herself into believing it wasn't poisoned, she was enjoying it very much~!
She was sure this was unhealthy or something, but Romane didn't spend much time on calories and cholesterol or any of that, especially not when she was busy trying to figure out what was in it. It wasn't spinach like she had guessed, but it certainly was green. Was green a flavor, Romane? No. It was not. But, it was enough to make her giggle. She wasn't sure why, but it was a wonderful color~! Not as wonderful as.. as.. Ah. She didn't have a favorite color, did she? Well, time to make one. She would love green, but green wasn't a beloved color enough..! It needed to be something.. something pretty. She finished her pizza and looked around – Mauser and Korth were black and brown, but she didn't like those that much. The couch was.. red? No, she didn't like it. At all. Paprika had yellow hair – egh. She hated Paprika, which was why she thought on who she didn't hate and that was Cid! But, Cid wore too many colors! But, his clothes weren't him.. Ah! That was it~!
“I have decided that green is an excellent color.” Because that was the color of his eyes! Which she always saw, whether he had his mask on or not. “Being as that is your eye color and that is a feature on you that I find.. pretty when compared to several other males.” Hm.. She didn't want to say that part aloud. Why not? ..No answer! Which meant something she didn't care to know~! Instead, she would stretch and lay back into the couch, because that was a comfortable thing to do. Even if an infected needle could have been placed into the back of her couch and just struck her with some deadly disease.. Or the relaxation she was feeling gave way for someone to sneak into the house and hide out until they were asleep. Then.. Steal their pizza. That would be horrible. Ah, yes, and possibly murder or rape or do both to them too. But, the pizza.. She loved this pizza! Which was why she had been eating it nonstop for the last twenty minutes and even now! “To lose the pizza would be an unfortunate occurrence.. Ah, that did not make sense to you, did it? I apologize, I should not be speaking, I believe, but it is a difficult task to accomplish currently.” She laughed and stared at the ceiling for a moment or so, deciding on it's entertainment value in comparison to the TV.
((...Oh.. Of course~ 9w9 How could I forget?))

Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯ For some odd reason, Cid felt rather philosophical (he's one of those stoners XD) not only that, but the depth in objects was rather interesting, causing him to simply stare at things - or people - and notice how his sense of sight was heightened to the point were he could not only see her clearly, but also notice the distance between her and other objects. It was rather strange. Has he somehow found enlightenment? After a lifetime of attempting to, he has finally reached something one does not usually do.. all because of this majestic pizza. Such an incredible food - he must bring some to his temple! So they could all be enlightened and happy as he is. It was not all pleasant though.. he could feel everything a bit too much. Things he would normally be able to ignore or not notice - such as the discomfort caused by his clothes - was now bothering him. He could feel every detail of the lead he usually wears.. how.. how unpleasant.
So Cid stood up and began undressing, at least taking off the majority of his clothes, other than his boots and martial arts clothing that he wore under all of that heavy and thick material. He placed them down nearby his spade, before coming back to sit next to Romane. As Romane said her favorite color, Cid nodded. Green. Remember that. He was.. pretty? But.. he was a male. It was bad enough that he was named such, but to be called pretty? It was a compliment at least. She meant no offense. "Do you notice anything strange?" He asked. Now noticing how this wasn't very normal. Wait, what was her favorite color again? Oh wait! Green. Okay, don't forget that. "It is pleasant to hear you laugh Ms Romane. It is a rather interesting laugh at that." He commented, not finding how that can be taken as offensive. Really she never laughed, so hearing her laugh was so odd that he found it was.. 'cute' yes, cute. Like how she liked the color.. green! Because of.. of.. his.. hair? No.. eyes...? Yes, eyes, don't forget.

Only a small part of Romane recognized that Cid was undressing again for.. no real reason. But, she didn't care at that moment since her eyes were on the pizza. Or, well, the lack of. Yes, Romane was stuck in a horrible situation that she was uncertain how to cope with, but it did continue to amuse her in a way she didn't understand. There was one slice of that delicious pizza left. Just one. Once it was eaten, it would be all gone and she wouldn't have anymore pizza! Then.. then she would have to take Cid's pizza. Because she couldn't go hungry! And the kitchen was too far away.. But the store wasn't. Hm, a trip to the store to get more pizza and possibly snacks could be in order once she ate that last slice of pizza. As soon as she reached for it from the exact position she was in because moving didn't feel like something she wanted to do. She had her arm outstretched, frowning in concentration at remaining stationary in possibly the most laziest move Romane had ever done in her entire life.
She only stopped when Cid sat back down and said something. Notice.. anything.. strange..? Hm. She dropped her arm and tilted her head back up towards the ceiling in thought, sidetracked for a moment as she discovered she could see shapes if she tried to look hard enough. But, she got her mind back on track and realized that something was off. Everything was too.. nice. She was laying down, but not sleeping, and had they really devoured almost two full pizzas in little under half an hour?! Had she helped in doing that? ..Did she care? No- yes, perhaps! It was confusing.. What wasn't, though, was that Cid had called her laugh nice again! Well, he said it was pleasant to hear and called it interesting.. Hold on. “Interesting? That is strange – how is it interesting..? I do not..” She paused for a second, just noticing something else that was odd.
“I have not used contractions at all, have I? Strange. I believe that is strange. Unless it was something else you were attempting to call 'strange' earlier?” She added as she recalled that he had said something was strange. What else did she notice was strange? “It is strange that Korth and Mauser have not tried to eat the pizza. The animation was strange as it had animals speaking when such a thing is impossible. It is strange that.. your outer clothing appears to have disappeared. It is strange that I have spoken to this extent. It is strange that I am not yet satisfied and still would like more pizza. The green toppings on said pizza were strange as well, however enjoyable.” Romane paused in her talking to look at Cid's head for a moment, before chuckling. “It is strange that you have hair. I was under the impression that monks were bald.. That is what the textbooks depict you as, I believe.” Every monk she saw had their head shaved and also wore orange instead of the pleasantly relaxing set of colors Cid wore. Which was hilarious for whatever reason, hence why she couldn't stop giggling over it.

Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯ "Ah we are usually bald, I have not shaven my head in the two years that I have been absent from the temple..." Hair was far too valuable when traveling, especially when he lost his hat for a week due to a very pesky monkey with a flying golden cloud that he traveled with, along with a pig, river ogre, and the prince of the dragon king who shapeshifts into his own horse.. ah, did that happen? No.. no of course not, why was he even thinking it? Cid wasn't understanding why Romane was being so odd, as he stroked his own hair. He could feel the textures very pleasantly. Cid only had one slice, not.. a whole pizza, like Romane did, so of course he wasn't completely out of it as she was.
"I believe you are very sick Ms Romane." Cid said, concerned, before standing up. She was laughing! Far too much. Yes Cid was somehow turning more paranoid with whatever was in the pizza than Romane. What if someone breaks in? His senses were extraordinary right now, but.. but Romane would give them away! Then be murdered! Or be forced to bear children! Children that aren't his she does not want! To be forced to marry and be a housewife?! What if burglers do that nowadays?! "We must take you to the clinic at once-" So doctors could infect her with illnesses that they possibly keep?! Or- Cid's attention was taken by the TV. It was a commercial on the new Mountain Dew. Cid now felt very thirsty.. and wanting that.. it was then followed up by Doritos, which he also wanted now. "..We must go to the store Ms Romane, then the clinic!"

That made sense. Well, not really, Cid didn't explain why he hadn't continued to shave his head when he already said that Romane was correct to point out that monks were normally bald. Being away from a temple didn't mean that he should veer away from procedures, it showed irresponsibility and – ah. Would you look at that? Romane's hand seemed to have a mind of it's own as it again lifted to reach over to Cid's head and make an attempt to touch it. Once her thoughts caught up with her actions, she realized that watching him play with his hair made her curious as to how that felt too. It was pretty hair, really~ Cid seemed to take better care of his hair than she did! Odd, since Romane thought she took pretty good care of her hair. Was there a secret..? Or maybe it was just that he had a different color! But, this was only the visual, feeling it would tell her if it was healthy or not or whatever, she just wanted to touch it before..
..it was gone. Cid had stood up, making her hand fall onto the spot where he sat in literal slow motion. Damn it. She had almost got it! She took a sigh and shook her head with a giggle – oh, well~! Why should she fret over it when she had a whole couch to feel! She leaned onto her side to lay down face-first onto the couch, snuggling her head into the cushions comfortably. She had never noticed how nice this couch was! It was just so.. nice and warm.. It almost made her sleepy and, indeed, she would have ignored what Cid said and probably went to sleep right there if the words 'store' hadn't come out of the monk's mouth. Store meant food and food meant more pizza! Romane was still hungry or.. not really hungry so much as she wanted to taste more food, but it meant the same thing. She wanted food and Cid wanted to go the store. Two dots connected and the woman got to her feet.
“Affirmative, we require the store and.. possibly the clinic for latex gloves.” Why latex gloves? Well, she had missed that whole 'she must be very sick' segment of Cid's speech and the only thing she could think of that she wanted from a clinic was gloves. To handle her mail with, of course. She had gotten an unusual package yesterday that had been forced to sit inside the box until she could bring herself to touch it. With gloves, she would be rest assured on any fears of.. something-something. Ah, she wasn't sure now, but she knew she wanted gloves and pizza. Pizza first, though. So, she headed around the couch and stopped, turning towards Cid. They should turn off the TV.. “Are you prepared to depart or do you need to obtain your.. staff.. stick.” She paused and giggled – what was that called again? A spear? Why did he have a spear? “Spear. To spear.. objects that provide an issue on our travels to the store.” That sounded right.

Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯ Spear? Did he own a spear? No.. no he did not. Spears were weapons, and he did not believe in violence unless the animal or person happens to be maiming and murdering a bit too many people for it to get bored and walk away. Oh, wait! His spade. Cid went over to were he usually placed his tool against. "Ah, yes, my spade and hat." He replied, placing the hat on his head, before taking his spade. All he needed was to cover his mouth with his facemask.. but that would be rather uncomfortable.
He walked back over to the door and stood for a moment, ah, what was he doing again? He stood for what felt like an hour (5 seconds) before nodding. "Ah, yes, the store." He said, mostly to himself. Now Cid unlocked the doors and walked out of the home, to lead her to the general store.. hopefully. He did not make an effort to remind her to lock the doors or anything - as he forgot locks exist. /Exited Cid.

Spade? Ah, but she thought it was a spear.. or staff.. She wasn't entirely sure. She wasn't even sure she cared what it was. It was heavy, sharp, and would be frightening in anyone else's hands – it was a weapon. A very funny and odd one for someone have nowadays, but still a weapon nonetheless! She broke into a giggle as she watched him slip on his hat, remembering her own with a look at her door. ..Mm.. Nooo, she didn't need a hat! It was all.. concealing and stuffy. Plus, it was a whole five feet in that direction.
She didn't want to go that far! So, she moved past her room and the guest room, where Mauser and Korth had been trapped inside, hence why they hadn't taken advantage of the pair's condition to steal that yummy pizza! They were too busy whining at the door since they had been taught against barking by that point. Not unless it was an emergency! Either way, the woman didn't even notice that the dogs were trapped, more focused on staying as close to Cid as possible. She forgot about the lock because of how much attention she had on the clouds. They were pretty that day~! She could see so many more shapes than what she could on her ceiling!

Two wisps of light fluttered through the windows, one a pale green, while the other shimmered like gold. It was Ilex and Hyacinth, the fairies carrying a little sack that couldn't possibly hold as many things as they needed to drop off that morning. Ah, well, Hyacinth somehow pulled out a cup of freshly brewed black tea to set on the dining table – magical tea! Tea that would stay at the perfect temperature for days if need be! Even the fridge or ice cubes wouldn't be able to alter that perfection~! Next to the cup, a green envelope was left with Romane Bissette's name written on it.
“I am very pleased with your performance, Romane. You must work on being less negligent of your work, however – after Paprika, you had no more excuse to play hooky! You did redeem yourself at the masquerade, though, so I am willing to forgive you. I'm proud that you have continued working, though.. You have been getting distracted once more by people! I can't say I approve of this new room-mate of yours, but as long as you maintain your performance at work, I will not advice against it. Be cautious of your attachments. If you MUST have a relationship with someone, I would recommend one of the Murrow brothers – avoid the sister – or patching up with Ginger, as you know her. Ah, yes, Carly is a good option as well as John – keep up your time with him! Good luck in the coming year and enjoy your tea.”
On Ilex's side, though, the fairy was holding a large lump of fool's gold ore in one hand while setting a yellow envelope on the kitchen counter with 'Cid' written across it's front. The ore.. well, Cid did clean up his shrine all the time and the fairy saw enough of him to get fond of him. ..Maybe a little too fond for a fairy..
“WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME?! I don't get it! I thought you liked me, but then I found out that you were going to everyone else's shrines too! I.. I thought we actually could be friends, but if you just treat everyone nice like.. like some kind of friendly whore, then I don't know if I want that! I still want to be friends with you, but.. you need to change your ways! Only see me! I'm your guardian – it's not your job to go hang around with the others! What did they ever do for you, huh?! NOTHING. I'VE BEEN WATCHING YOU SINCE YOU GOT HERE, THEY'VE BEEN BUSY WITH OTHER PEOPLE – WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME?! ; _ ;
You've been doing good.. I mean, with the humans – people – you should continue being nice to everyone and helping them.. Oh, maybe you should go see the Goddess at the church sometimes, too! She doesn't get enough appreciation! But.. Please be a little more faithful? I don't know how much more my heart can take, Cid! I gave you some ore.. You can have the local blacksmith refine it, maybe.. If he's back from his honeymoon. Um, well, it's not worth anything, but it's pretty! If you were nicer to me, and only me, then you would have gotten something better! It's just I feel like I'm being fooled by your niceness! ; _ ; Keep it safe!”
With the ore left next to the envelope, the two dashed off to continue their work!

Lately, the redhead had been leaving the house more and more on her own, even if it toyed with her paranoia every step of the way. She didn't need to mention that she had almost shot holes into every appliance, furniture, and wall of Rachel's home during their practice, but yesterday had been her last trip. Just a brush up on what she was supposed to do and to gather the stereo and CD like Rachel promised she could. She would have to bring it back tomorrow, but, for today, she would – what's this? After showering and getting dressed, Romane had traveled into the kitchen in thought, trying to find both her dogs and a suitable location for her to finish the deed.
But, instead of discovering that she would have to move the dining table, she found a pair of letters and tea. There was also a suspicious golden rock on the envelope that she found was addressed to Cid, but the tea was what really had her stilled. ..She hadn't made that. Had Cid? Cid enjoyed hot beverages. But, Cid wasn't here. He sometimes woke up before her, it was a possibility he had.. forgotten.. No, he wouldn't, would he? Then.. Ah, no, she shouldn't – but, it was there, mocking her for not knowing where it came from. She grit her teeth and backed up a step, hand going to the hilt of her pistol as usual.
“Mr. Kuan-yin!” She barked back into the house for him, panic and urgency tainting an otherwise angry tone. Not that this was anything new, she often called him to check on random things – a toaster last time with a manual in Spanish, even though she didn't speak Spanish! She had a right to panic then! Her breath quickened and she backed up to hide behind the corner that turned into the kitchen, “Kuan-yin, now!” What the hell was taking him so long?! She could be dead! Already! She had heard some people didn't even know they were dead until a few seconds after – oh, ********, she could be.. She kept a hand on her neck to keep track of her pulse. Wasn't it going too fast?! She could be having a heart attack! Her father had them a few times!

Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯ Cid came down to Romane, standing now next to her. He did not come from the stairs, or anything of the sort. More like he was hanging by the ceiling, and literally came down right now. It was excellent meditation to perform it upside down, while on the ceiling. How was that even possible you may ask? Well people should not ask questions that spoil the fun of monk magic! "Ah, yes Ms. Romane? Forgive me, I did not hear you properly the first time as the blood rushed to my brain rather quickly." Quicker than expected really. He was very much curious as to what concerned her now, as he could not easily spot something out of the normal.. then again, he did say he had a lot of blood in his head right now.
