Mia had stopped listening to the adults, she was just happy to have someone as a friend again

Rex chuckled not out here, "Its about five to ten miles into the woods, its hidden back there" he sighed. "Its where my pack still till they left and moved on." he looked down and than smiled, kinda happy he finally had company.

Cynder couldnt wait to start living in a real family. she had been alone since she was little. living on berries and leftovers from other wolves and certain grasses . she didnt like the taste of the berries and grasses but she loved the taste of the meat.

Kai nodded. "I understand that." She looked at the pups. "We should probably head there soon, but first the pups need some food" She said
Mia's stomach growled and she looked to her mom who looked at her and said exactly what she wanted her mom to say

Then Cynder's stomach growled. she looked at Kai and then she looked at Rex then Mia.

Rex frowned, "Umm, I can't hunt." He mubbled and lowered his head. "I usually eat berries but they need something more to eat than little berries."

Kai tried not to laugh. "Its okay. I know how to hunt. I had to for the longest time anyways." She then looked at Mia "You stay here with Rex and Cynder, okay? Don't worry, Rex isn't going to act like daddy did, because if he even tries I'll flatten him, okay?" She said to Mia. As soon as she got an answer she took off into the woods.
Mia looked at her mom unsure if she should stay or not, but if her mom thought it was okay, then she should be fine "Alright momma" She finally said as her mother ran off.

Cynder looked up at Rex with her icey blue eyes then she looked at mia. she then started to think if they would have brothers and sisters in the future. but she also thought she was getting ahead of herself.

Rex crossed his front paws and put his head down watching the edge of the woods making sure no one was there. He occasionaly looked at the pups to make sure nothing was wrong, It was true Rex had no mean bone in his whole body, unless you mess with his family or his pack, but other than that Rex couldnt hurt anyone or anything.

Kai moved quickly and quietly through the trees. When she finally spotted some deer she knelt down low and waited. She was planning on going for a fairly big one, but she knew that she could get hurt in the process. Before she could think it over she jumped out of the brush and onto the big deer's back, instantly grabbing into its neck
Mia looked at Rex. For some reason it felt different with him. She then looked at Cynder and wondered if maybe they were thinking the same type of thing. Before Mia could stop herself she said, "Are you going to mate with my momma?"

Rex sighed and thought for a second. "No hun, I wouldnt do that to your mother, besides I will not put your mother in that type of positions." he smiled and laid his head back down.

Kai struggled with the deer for a while. It was struggling and even had hit her with one of its antlers, but she kept at it. She finally brought it down and quickly snapped its neck. She stopped a moment to catch her breath then grabbed the deer's neck, lifting it up enough so that she could drag it.
Mia gave him a curious look "What would you be doing to her? You two seem to like each other. ." Mia didn't really understand what liking someone meant, she was only a pup after all

Rex sighed and than smiled, "you mom already had one mate and lost him, I wouldn't put her into that spot again, I dont want your mom to get hurt again." He sighed. "And I dont wanna hurt again." He smiled he tried to not tell Mia that he did kinda like her mom.

Cynder didnt quite know what he meant either. even though she was only 4 and 1/2 months old she never liked anyone like that.

Kai stopped for a moment, taking a breath. The walk back was a lot longer than the run there, but that was partially because she was carrying a huge deer. She hopped everything was going okay with the others.
Mia gave him a curious look. This was the first time in a long time that she hadn't been shy around a male. "But if you two like each other than shouldn't you guys try and be together? I mean that maybe your guys' first mates didn't work out because you two were meant to be together." She said
