The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Rose padded down the hallway until she stopped at a door and opened it. "You'll stay here until I get everything settled. I'll be in the office at the end of the hall if you need me. Feel free to wander around or turn in whenever you'd like." She said easily, shrugging lightly. Tipping her hat to him slightly, she turned and walked farther down the hall, heading to her office to draw up sale bills for her horses. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jason smiled after Rose but frowned slightly as she disappeared behind her office door, what was he doing? He was convincing this poor gal to pack up her whole life and travel with HIM. An outlaw, a thief, a robber, and generally not the best guy to hang around with if you wanted to stay out of trouble. He sighed, pulling his hat off to run a hand through his dark hair, "Dang me." He muttered, glancing at the room he'd been given.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Rose worked quickly, steadily drawing up more and more contracts. She figured she could find a new owner for all of her horses, most of them right here on the ranch. She knew a lot of the men here would love to own the horse she let them use at work. The sun slid quickly through the air, dousing the land in darkness. It wasn't until she couldn't see what she was writing that Rose stood up and stretched. She yawned and headed to her own bed, next door to Jason.
The two rooms were nearly identically, but for a few pictures in Rose's. She preferred to spend her money on horses, not house stuff. The room each had a simple bed, dresser, nightstand, and closet. Curtain's covered the window, but they were obviously a cheap fabric. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jason sighed, laying on the bed, staring at the ceiling, he wondered briefly, not if this was a good idea, but if Rose would stay with him when, not if, when, she found out what he was, and what he did.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... The sun was only just barely starting to rise when Rose slid from her bed. She padded quietly through the house, making herself a small breakfast, and trying not to wake Jason. She wasn't sure how much he slept but she'd rather not wake him up if he wanted to sleep more. In the early morning, before the sun rose, she wondered just how stupid she was. 'Ma always said I made the stupidest decision possible in any situation.' She thought with a small smirk. She thought she'd gotten out of that habit, doing well enough with her ranch. But then, she'd always been a horse person. Sheets of paper were spread out on the table around her as she reviewed them one final time while she ate breakfast. The tiger that should be....isn't....

A light tap came at Rose's door before it was pushed open a crack. Lime green eyes peeked in at her, the color odd set in the naturally copper skin and dark hair of her heritage. Spotting Rose she pushed the door open a bit more. "I'm told you need me." Akanksha's English was spoken almost as clearly as any of the towns people, her grammar even better than most of them. The beadwork on her clothing and jewelery made a light clacking noise as she stood in the open doorway now.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Rose looked up at the sound of the knock. She smiled when she saw the girl. "Ah, Akanksha. You're earlier than I expected. Would you join me for breakfast?" She pushed aside some of the papers to make room for the girl if she wanted to sit down. "I'm selling most of my horses. I was wondering if you knew anyone who might want one. Maybe some of your tribe perhaps." She leaned back in her chair, relaxed as she examined the native girl before her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akanksha moved forward and accepted the seat. "Most?" Frowning slightly she moved her bow and quiver to the floor next to her as she studied Rose for a moment. "You leaving?" Akanksha was extremely observant and learned more about people by watching them, Rose loved her ranch and her horses. Selling most the horses might cripple the ranch some. "Not in trouble?" The way she saw it the woman was either in financial trouble or leaving.

Jason was actually already awake, he was an early riser, and he could NOT stand still for very long to save his life, probably why he had learned to escape jail early in his 'career'. He was currently sitting on the roof, whittling at a small stick with a long curved knife.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Rose shook her head with a smile. "No, I'm not in trouble. I've been tempted to do this for awhile. I want to see more of the world, travel around a bit. The ranch will be left in the care of my headman." She explained easily. "I'm keeping Foxy and Rusty, but the others have to go." She said, naming her two favorites. "I have buyers for some of the horses, namely the ones I lend out here on the ranch anyways, but I still have a bunch that I need to find homes for. And I want to be certain that they're well taken care of. I know if you direct me to the right people, they won't abuse my animals." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akanksha nodded and stood. "Come then we look at them and I will show you which I know can go where. Some will have to have prices lowered or trade yes?" Some of the people she knew that would be good to the horses would not be able to afford them, some needed them badly here. Her own people would probably be willing to trade for a few if Rose handled it right. Of course Akanksha had generally managed to make sure all the dealers here had their deals handled correctly. There were only a few her people had trouble with.

Jason held up the small carved stick in his hand, horses running across it in a motionless gallop, and flames wreathing around and between the running steeds. He nodded, examining the intricate carvings, shaking some wood flakes from the stick before nodding and putting it away.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Rose nodded, breathing a sigh of relief. "I was hoping you'd help me." She admitted gratefully. "I can get enough money off the ones I sell around the ranch here, so that's fine if a few of them are lowered in price or traded. As long as it's useful stuff I'm trading for. Come on. I'll show you the ones." She rose from her seat and headed outside, Akanksha following. She trusted the girl would be able to get her a fair deal. And as long as the horses were well cared for, Rose could make an exception to the price. Price didn't matter nearly so much as the wellbeing of her animals. She led the other girl outside and over to her personal stables. All the horses whickered a greeting as they entered. "Hello my beauties!" She smiled and patter Foxy and Rusty as she passed their stalls. "All the ones along the left hand side." She said to Akanksha, gesturing to them.
They were all beautiful animals, with the specific traits Rose bred them for. All of them had a red coat, or chestnut, or some variation of. They were all spirited animals but willing to work when treated well. They could be stubborn but they were gentle for the most part. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akanksha inspected each of the animals as she was trained to do, she had been called to Rose's farm one more than a few occasions to heal them when the were injured or fell ill. Finished she turned to Rose. "The farm up the road four miles, the widow needs a horse. She walks to and from town with her young son and daughter. Small farm, low money. Her form of trade is spices and cloth she weaves." Akanksha was aware of what everyone in town traded and where to find the best quality, it was how she cared for her people. She listed a few more, pointing out the horses that would be best for each.
"My people will trade you for the last three. We trade you dried meats and goods you will need for travel." She informed Rose as she obliged one of the horses who butted her with it's head by running her fingers over his fur. "We even trade a warrior to travel with you. I do not like idea of traveling alone Rose."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Rose nodded thoughtfully as she listened to the girl talk. It could always be counted on for Akanksha to know who traded what. "I'll do it." She said, sure that the girl wouldn't have chosen those people unless they would take good care of her animals. "What I don't use from the trades, I can sell later." She said with a nod.
At Akanksha's offer though, she smiled. "It's a kind offer Akanksha and I won't refuse if you insist." She said, knowing it was rude to refuse such an offer. "But I'm not traveling alone. I have a companion already, if that makes you change your mind on the offer." She wasn't sure what the girl would think of her companion, some stranger she'd met the other day in a saloon. But he had an aura of adventure around him. And that was exactly what she was looking for. The tiger that should be....isn't....
