I really did cry when my mom turned on the news in the morning before school and there was smoke and fire. "Hey momma look at the pretty colors!" my little brother said. My mother and I got scared. He didn't know that we were watching 9/11. I was just starting 1st grade, and even I knew that America wouldn't be the same anymore. For the first time in a long time we went to church all the prayers I had never learned just seemed to pass my lips. Those first few nights I just couldn't sleep. I am just a simple singer and I really was sad that day, but all i can say is that we have a lot to look to in the future, because God Himself gave us Faith, Hope, and Love.

yea, my sister woke me up and told me there would be no school today and to come to the living room, it took me a minute to realize the scene on TV was repeating and it was the news not a movie.
