Nah, that's a hassle. Thanks for the offer, though. I don't know... but her high and mighty additude is rather annoying. You should read some of the crap people have put in there about how being childfree is unatural.

this person, who wrote that thing you quoted before..........is an uber dumbass. First off, you think childfree people talk about it a lot? the entire SOCIETY is in a constant state of babbling babby worship. Second, It's true, I agree, there IS no "duty to procreate". We act however we choose with what we've got. Yeah, the parts are there, but that gives you no obligation to use them or use them for that purpose. Besides, there's no way the childfree can bring about the end of the species, we're over populated as it is, plus even if the whole world- which I don't see happening any time soon- decided they didn't want kids, there are other ways to do it to keep making more people. xp Third, there is absolutely no such thing at all as a bad reason to be childfree. None. If for any reason you do not wish to have children, it's a valid one, because anybody who doesn't want kids wouldn't do a good job as a parent any way and it would only hurt both parent and child. And by the way, stretch marks have never been a reason for childfreedom, since there's adoption any way. On top of that, since when is concern for yourself and your own life a bad reason to do or not do anything (so long as that something isn't like, mass murder and such, you know what I mean, right)? I think being concerned with your work and simply not liking children and thinking you'd do a bad job any way are all VERY legitimate reasons. also, haha, that idiot, they said the childfree were removing there genes from the gene pool any way, somebody forgot what we already discussed- donating eggs and sperm. lol

She really played on the fear thing... it kind of pissed me off. That was her only defense... and she called me closed-minded.

XenoReiji Oh don't worry it turned into a 3 or 4 page debate.... would you like me to post your response in my thread there.... I would let you do it myself but the group is closed for memebership. I don't know if she will come back I hope she does.. Thanks, but that's all right. If it's that long then probably everything I wrote has been said. 3nodding I find it ironic that she says that people who are childfree are ignorant for using what she thinks are bad reasons, yet she uses so many generalizations that her post doesn't even make much sense. I guess there's no use arguing with people who refuse to listen.

I'm going to use a quote here my history teacher says all the time, it fits the situation with this girl's attitude-"My mind's made up, don't confuse me with the facts!"

no no no! I mean that's HER attitude, she would be the one in this circumstance saying that line "my mind is made up, don't confuse me with the facts!" in other words, SHE'S the one who has an opinion and now won't listen to the facts because they contradict her opinion.

xd hahaha! really though, the whole owing people grangkids/great grand kids thing is so rude if anybody ever stopped to think about it. They just say you owe them to go and screw up your life and put somebody else there for their benefit that they don't really have to bother with when they don't feel like it any way.
