The average person wouldn't think that a spell name 'Quake' would work well while standing on top of a lake. that average person is wrong. After selecting the spell, Akio's arms began to move involuntarily into a series of hand seals which he had never learned before. After a few seconds, he finally finished in a final hand seal as his body flashed and the word "Quake" appeared in a message box above him.

...strangely enough the lake began to shake as a fissure in the water's surface formed, water pouring into the empty space as it traveled from Akio, directly at the water dragon, shaking the entire area and creating thrashing waves on all sides. What Akio had not considered however was that unlike he and Kenji, things with wings were normally able to fly, which was exactly the case with a water dragon...with wings. During the quake, Akio and Kenji felt pain from their own attack as they saw the number '10' in white lettering rise from their bodies, above their heads and then disappear. As the fissure reached the dragon, he flapped his watery wings and rose up above the quake, hovering above the lake until the technique was finished, and the fissure disappeared, returning the lake to normal. Landing on the water's surface, as the number '0' rose above the dragon as the numbers did for Akio and Kenji, the Water Dragon let out a bellowing roar as a jet of water shot out of it's mouth, striking Akio in the stomach and knocking him down, causing another number '10' to come off of Akio's body and disappear into the air.

Akio then found that the white light surrounding him left, moving to Kenji, as it froze Akio in place, releasing Kenji and presenting him with the same menu Akio had seen.

Kenji was uncontrollable launched into a series of unknown hand seals much like Akio was, but they were much quicker, and ended in a different seal as Kenji's body flashed with a white light, and the word "Protect" appeared ina box above his head. A glowing sphere of blue light then appeared, surrounding both he and Akio, permeating their bodies and giving them a tingly sensation in their skin. The blue sphere then flashed as a transparent image of a shield shined in front of them before disappearing.

Both Kenji and Akio were now surrounded in a glowing blue light. After the spell had been completed, the dragon quickly roared as it began beating it's wings and stamping it's feet on the surface of the water in a temper-tantrum. This caused a massive wave on the lake to surge up and rush at Kenji and Akio, crashing into them and knocking them both down. What was strange however was that they would have thought that the wave would hurt more. (Kenji and Akio both take 5 damage.)

After they were both dragged back to their feet by an unknown force, the white lining left Kenji, freezing him in place, and moved to Akio, freeing him to move again as the menu appeared once more.

After selecting Items, another menu appears displaying an inventory :

- Potion , 2

- Hi-Potion , 1

- Ether , 1

- Spoon

(You can also see a 'Back' button, which will presumably bring you back to the previous menu)

Akio selected 'Back' then selected the 'Attack' option

After selecting attack, you feel yourself propelled forward by an unknown force, launching you across the lake towards the dragon, as you formed a series of hand seals and your arm began to glow, as beams of light extended off of it and formed a sword. Feel your legs bend down, you then find yourself leaping into the air as you bring your sword down at the dragon in a large diagonal swing.

...just before you are to strike however, the dragon flashes quickly as it's wings are brought down over in front of it to act as a shield, and the flowing water that constituted the beast's wings hardened to ice, as the attack clashed with the wing, taking a chunk of ice off at impact, but merely scratching the wing the rest of the way down. The number 1 could be seen coming up off of the dragon, but it didn't seem to regard the attack as harmful at all. the dragon quickly retaliated, as it's wings returned to normal, whipping around and swatting Akio away with it's tail as he toppled back near Kenji, a white number 5 floating off of him.

The white light soon left him as he was brought to his feet, and then Kenji was lit up and free to move, once again being presented with the Menu:

White Water Lilly

Haruko places a hand on her chin as she looks over the options, 'Interesting, appears that "magic" allows us to have different abilites similar to jutsus which should mean that if I choose "Fire", an attack of fire will appear. Haruko smiles as she lowers her hand. "Perfect. Fire against wood." Haruko proceeded to select 'Fire' from the 'Magic' menu.

Haruko soon found herself forming a series of seals she had never used before until she finally ended in a fire seal and let off a burst of red-colored energy from around her as the word "Fire" appeared in a box above her head. The tree was then suddenly surrounded in a ring of fire as flames burst up all around it and began to close in. As the flames came closer though, the tree did as it had done before, pulling it's branches down in front of it in a defensive position as it flashed quickly, it's branches and trunk gleaming as if it were metal.

The flames closed in quickly, engulfing the entire scene with intense flames, but as they died down, the tree stood back up to a regular stance, the number 5 rising up above it's head. You couldn't believe it, but it seemed that the fire had no effect in this case. the tree then let loose a volley of razor sharp leaves which struck Haruko multiple times, causing a white 10 to rise up off of her. the white lining around her then left her and surrounded Kyoma, releasing her as the menu appeared once again :

Kenji was quickly launched into a strange series of hand seals that he had never seen before and found himself muttering under his breath in a strange language. after the incantation was complete, he moved forward slightly and a burst of white light came off of him as a message box appeared above his head displaying "Slow". Across the lake, the dragon was suddenly surrounded by a series of phantom clocks which seem to spin around him, changing, spinning rapidly at first, but then slowing down as the dragon was changed to a light grey hew.

Looking at the beast, it seemed to be moving almost in slow motion, at least half as slow as it was before. Kenji braced for the impact of an attack which had been unleashed at Akio and himself after the last time he used a magic spell, but was pleasantly surprised to find that none came, as the white lining left him and moved to Akio, freeing him and presenting him with the menu:
