So, I'm thinking we fly into LAX, stay with Katie and Matt for the night then hop over to Dad's for a bit, back down to LA then San Diego then back home.

Alrighty, interesting news peoples! Adam and Hoku have found a place we can ALL (yes, everyone) stay in our time in San Diego for cheaper then the hotels we currently have booked; the Navy Lodge at San Diego! It will cost us about $78 a night. Here is all the information about it:
Location S 28th St Naval Base San Diego, CA 92136 (619) 234-6142 2 Miles from the Convention Center!
Amenities include Fully equipped kitchenettes (dishes, pots, pans, etc.), microwave, dining table, satellite TV (HBO, VCP's and DVD's), air conditioning, radio/clock, hairdryer, irons and ironing boards, snack vending, ice, on-site laundry facilities, fax/copy services, and playground. Available in the lobby is complimentary coffee service and USA Today newspaper. Also available at no additional charge are cribs, highchairs and rollaway beds.
What will have to happen is we'll all have to meet up at the gates to the base/somewhere and all go and get our visitor badges with Adam since he is our key to this place - but after that we should all be able to come and go as we please!

Okay everybody, as far as booking this place goes, I believe I have to book both rooms myself, then you guys pay cash/cards/ etc upon check out. If they both have to be paid for by me, then you guys can just reimburse me later I guess. As far as trolly service goes, I have checked the trolly map, there is Harborside station right outside of the complex which will take us to the 12th and Imperial Station one block away from Comic Con, as long as we take the route going in the right direction, it should be a straight shot to Comic Con, so we will completely foergo the red line trolly if we end up here, we will be taking the blue line instead.

Okay so I was about to book the room and I wanted to double check about getting visitor passes. Turns out they DO NOT issue visitor passes to my guests. I would have to escort you or anybody on and off base. I can see how this will get a frustrating pretty fast, especially since we might to do different things at different times and might end up returning to the lodge at different times. Like say if I end up going to see my aunt at some random time during the trip, you guys would not have the option of returning to the room (or leaving the base it if you stayed in the room) until I or Hoku got back. I know these rooms are really cheap, but I just want to know how far are we willing to go here. I honestly didn't think it get this complicated. Please respond back letting me know if you still want to go with this or just drop it.

Auuuuuug, I'm torn. I want to be able to come and go as needed - but I also go really excited at how cheap it would be. Personally I feel like I'd be fine revolving around your and Hoku's schedule, but I can't speak for 6 other people.
Ultimately, perhaps our original plan is best. Boooooo.

Matt and I talked about it, and we're still in as long as you and Hoku are up to eat, because $78 a night split 5 ways is a really amazing deal and would definitely help us out money wise.
I want to talk to my dad to make sure his ok with this and make sure we're all on the same page. I'll get back to as soon as I can. I should know some time tomorrow and will text or email you to let you know.
It won't be a problem that my dad, Leo, isn't staying for all the nights, will it?
