"You do not need to know, Legolas." Legede replied, looking away.
The captain shook out his tunic, before donning the damp garment once again.
Legolas frowned, "I am your friend, Legede, and I can see that something is bothering you."
The blue gaze of the white haired Elf was enough to freeze the prince in place, "I am going to Mordor this day, and you will not stop me."
"Take me with you."
Legede started at the archer's reply.
"I can not. You have duties here, Legolas. Besides, it is my fight, not..."
"They took Legolia." Legolas interrupted, his hands clenched into fists at his side. "Melkor's minions took my sister, and I would die first before not doing anything."
"Surely your wife and..."
"They do not understand." the prince said. "They can not feel her pain... I can, though they do not know it. I hide it from all eyes."
"Even from my own." Legede replied, shaking his head, "While I understand how such a bond makes one feel, I can tell you this. I will get Legolia back, for I go to destroy Melkor."
Legolas' eyes burned with anger as he spoke next, knowing exactly what his friend was up against. "You can not beat them alone. Let me help you. Together. Just how it was with Morolas. Together, mellon nin."
The captain thought over it for a long moment. He nodded then, reaching out his hand to clasp the prince's own.
"Together."
Legolas smiled, taking his friend's hand. "Hannon le."
Suddenly however, the archer was thrown off balance. He slammed into Legede's chest just before feeling a hard hit across his shoulders and the base of his neck. Dark spots danced before his eyes, and Legolas wavered before falling forward onto the ground, unconsciousness claiming him.
"Dehino nin... caun nin." Legede whispered, making sure Legolas was simply unconscious. "There are some things I must do on my own. You will save your sister, but not now."
Standing, the captain looked to the sky. "VALAR! YOU HELPED SARIO TRAVEL ONCE! HELP ME NOW! HELP ME DESTROY THIS EVIL!"

My hair is burning in the sky,
My body is like a flame!
It's hateful: why have I become like this?
I have become REALLY angry,
So being in love is painful.
Although I want to have that sweet dream,
I cannot allow it, and it's all because of THEM!

I must smash them, and with my own hands, destroy the evil!
I must keep at it, until the job is done!

That, they cannot do!

A strange wind covered Legede then, blowing bits and pieces of underbrush and leaves into the air. Dust covered the sky around him and, as it intensified, it lifted into the sky and shot away... taking the captain with it.
Legolas, lay upon the ground, having no notion that his friend was gone.

(((OOC: Okay, song used was bits and pieces of the song "Ai no Senshi" from "Sailor Moon" and sung by Ishida Yoko. The underlined text was changed. It was originally Aoi, which means Blue. I changed it to Shiro, which means White, to better fit Legede. I thought it kinda explained how he had gotten to trust and understand Talli, but then Talli betrayed him and took advantage of that trust. It also shows how Legede is pissed off at Melkor and her band, and that because of them, the love he had cannot be (since he was planning on asking Sario to marry him after Melkor and Nufeniel were destroyed... *gasp*). He's bloody ticked, and ready to kick some serious a**. But there's another post coming, I just wanted to get this one out of the way first.)))

Elladan sighed, "They have not actually lived there for too long. Only a handful of years. But I do understand, because trying to retake the city would be a blow against Melkor."
"Muindor, we both know how they work. They have probably left the city by now." Elrohir replied with a sigh of his own. "It's most likely abandoned, and mostly burned down."

~~~
Caldor frowned at the suddeny apeparance of the demon, "Must you do that, Xarik'n?" he asked.
~~~

Elandere heard Lenora's soft footsteps and turned. He blinked, noticing the clothing she was wearing, before unclasping his cape and walking over to her.
"Lenora? Are you alright?" he asked, drapping the cloth over her shoulders.

~~~
Rumil smirked, looking at Orophin with a face that simply said, 'I win.'
~~~

Haldir yawned, "Perhaps then... you should sleep?"

Haldir smiled slightly, noticing that Aras was already asleep. Since things were finally somewhat calm now, he too drifted off.

~~~
Orophin shook his head, "No. I can not fathom it." he joked.
Rumil laughed, "Actually... she is really adorable."
~~~

Elandere shook his head, "There was not much for you to miss, Lenora. I mean, it happened so fast that we did not even have time to mount any proper defenses."

Lenora nodded and sighed at that thought. She took another look around her before she asked. "Where are we?" She pulled his cape a little tighter around her..a little embrassed by the thin silk fabric that is her night gown.

Vala approached Legolas, sitting down by his head after Legede disappeared. Holding his hand over the archer's forehead, his palm glowed a little before enough vital energy was sent to revive him. Vala peered curiously at him on his hands and knees, before moving to sit on his feet, legs neatly tucked under him.
"Ada." he spoke confidently, inquisitive, piercing eyes boring into the elf. "You have yet to give me a sister."
Of course Legolas probably would have been confused as all heck...
He smiled. "You have yet to give me a sister, Ada. You have to give me Lily before you leave. She looks just like Mother." His eyes held a strange look of all-knowing in them; this child was certainly gifted, and in more ways than one. He was a spitting image of Legolas. "You shouldn't doubt her. She's just like you....Neither of you ever physically show what's on your mind. It's easy to see past that." Again with his eyes; they stood out more than anything on the child, deep and all-knowing. He was named Vala appropriately. "You should get a few things in order before you decide to scrap everything. You might accidentally throw away important things." The child stood up, hands on his hips. "Mom always used to tell me about you when she'd visit, telling me stories about how you met and such for hours. We both know you're her strength, Ada; trust me when I say that. Without you, she would fall; I would keep her standing only for a few months before her will broke. But who am I to tell you this..?" He leaned over, pressing his hand over Legolas' heart. "You know it for yourself, right here."
Suddenly, he pulled back, smiled, and went running off towards where he knew Sallia would be. "You should find her!"
Heh, he wondered if Legolas knew that all he had to do was follow him.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Sallia turned around, looking at Vala. "How did you...?"
Vala giggled, his laughter the only response he'd give.
Sallia was puzzled, and intrigued. Vala was certainly a bright child; far more mischievious than she had ever thought she was.
Shanra always assured her he was docile compared to her, though. Legolas' side?
Suddenly, Vala darted off into the forests, causing Sallia to jump up in alarm. "Vala?!!!"
He laughed, already knowing these forests better than either of his parents did. If all went according to his plans, his parents would be running into eachother in seconds.
"Vala???" Sallia called out, before freezing on the trail, eyes locking with Legolas'.
**Bullseye.** Vala thought to himself proudly. **I'll let them handle this now.** He took off through the treetops, returning back to the Temples.
Sallia stood motionless on the trail, one hand moving to her heart. It ached at seeing him like this; she found the words she wished to say caught in her throat, and for once since she had returned, she felt vulnerable and exposed. She wasn't going to cry, she was going to be strong...
Instead she found herself weakening, tears starting to well up. Her other arm wrapped around her stomach for a sense of security; it didn't help, it always felt like he could see through her like fresh, clear water.
"Legolas..." She could only whisper, choking and nervous. "I..."
But her voice only found silence in his presence; there was this agonizing, sinking pain in her stomach that had traveled there from her chest. She didn't fully understand why she was feeling what she was; it was strange. She wanted to run and embrace him, but she was hesitant to even move. Furthermore, she was torn between her pride---even if she was his wife, she hated to be seen so exposed---and her devotion to him. One prompted her to step backwards, and run, hide; the other, to stay, to see how things worked themselves out. Her confusion caused her to do both; she stepped backwards, but was inable to move any further. What could she say to him??? He had his mind made up, there was nothing she could do to change it. She respected his wishes, he was her husband, her friend, her beloved. That didn't mean she always agreed with them or what they entailed, this being a prime example of that. She couldn't be selfish.... But she didn't want him to throw his life away either. She didn't want to lose him, more than anything, but she understood that this was far beyond her control.
"I..." she tried to start again, "I.... ....Legolas...."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Xarik'n grinned. "Why wouldn't I? You guys requested my presence or what? Take it or leave it."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shanra just smiled. "Don't mention it, beautiful." He kissed her cheek before standing up and walking away, hands in his pockets.
Alandis stood, one hand gripping the bottle while the other rested on her cheek. She turned to look at Shanra, heat rising in her face with both embarassment and anger.
"Wait...Wait!" she went after him, grabbing his arm and stood in front of the elf. Locking eyes with him, for a moment she forgot what she was going to say. What was it?
"Why...Why do you do this?" she asked, trying her best to glare at him, but why? All he ever really did was show her some kindness and interest. That was it. Thats what made her uncomfortable.
"Why are you being so nice to me?"
PostPosted: Sat Jan 29, 2005 9:03 am
Shanra spun around smoothly, suave and grinning. "Heh, you're not used to this are you...? You're blushing." He chuckled. "Easy enough to say: I like you. A lot. You have my respect and admiration. That good enough of an answer, or do I have to kiss you again?" He smiled mischieviously.
"It's because I don't know you," Alandis released his arm, trying to calm down. "We...We just met!"
Why was she overreacting? The woman didn't think that she could be sharing the same feelings toward Shanra. He was arrogant and rude, wanting to fight with her at first but then he did a complete turn around and since then has been kind and compassionate.
It kind of reminded her about...
The Healer shook her head, holding the bottle out to him. "I'm sorry but I...Your gift is flattering as well as your affection but I cannot accept either one."
Legolas had said nothing to Vala, as the young child spoke. The prince knew that his son's words were true, and he knew what a waste his life would be if he failed in rescuing his sister.
"Vala..." but before he could say anything the child was off and running.
Legolas quickly followed, only to run into Sallia moments later. It was an akward moment to say the least, and the prince could hardly fathom what to say.
"Sallia..." he spoke, seeing the tears in her eyes, tears that he knew she was afraid to shed.
He walked calmly toward his wife, stopping only a few inches away. He reached up, gently wiping away the beginnings of a teardrop.
"Forgive me." he whispered, knowing that this was, in truth, his fault. "I did not think about my actions... about how, how it would affect you and Vala. I have acted on my emotions too much of late." he smiled slightly, "Estel would have my head of he knew what I had been planning. My thoughts... my plan... it was a fools hope. I just, I did not wish to see you hurt, meleth nin. If you face off against Melkor, even with Sario and the aid of all of our companions, you would still be hurt."
~~~

The Tree Mother, as Sallia called it, was to recieve an unexpected visitor this day.
A bright light shone around the Elf's body, but when he fully materialized, there was no mistaking that this was no ordinary Eldar.
It was one of the Vala...
Mandos himself.
The Elf smiled, looking over the tree, "Yavanna, you have done many great things within this realm." he spoke to the massive tree, before looking around to the scenery about him. "And I can see why you are so adamant about watching over those who dwell here. But I have come on business of Manwe." the Vala said, looking back to the tree and narrowing his eyes, "Great evil threatens this world. Even now, Aule, your husband, is forging a mighty jar, in which to imprison this evil once it is banished. But for him to do this, for Manwe to give him the tools to accomplish this task, we must take something from this land. I am here to seal the springs."

~~~
(((OOC: Okay, I was thinking about this last night and having the Tree be Yavanna (Vala of Growing Things and spouse of Aule the Smith) seems like a good idea. I was also thinking, Sal, that this realm could in fact be the realm of Doriath, where King Thingol and his Maia wife, Melian, ruled. It's protected by ancient Elven magics, as well as Melian's magics, and that could help account for the beauty of the place, plus the springs. Also, Thingol's palace was just like Thranduil's, only massively larger. Though Thingol was killed by the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains (which really explains why Thranduil hates Dwarves, especially if he is in fact a descendant of Thingol's brother, Olwe) part of his kingdom could have survived, thus creating the ruins and such. Thingol, if you didn't know, is the father of Luthien, of whom Aragorn (and Elrond oddly enough) is descended from. So, just take that into thought. )))
~~~

Elandere shook his head, "I do not really know."
"We are at Sallia's home." Thranduil answered with a slight smile, "I have been here before and this place... it is strangely familiar to me. It is as if I have been here before. Well, I have, but... a long time ago."

~~~
Rumil shook his head, "No, she is comfortable."
Orophin laughed, "Already he is going soft."
(((OOC: AI! I forgot to post for Legede! Hehehe... my bad. Sorry for my absence guys, but with the laptop away for repairs, I'm just not feeling like sitting at the comp for more than a few minutes time. Damn the flu... CURSE YOU, FLU! CURSE YOU TO THE FARTHEST REACHES OF THE ABYSS! *falls over* OH! And this is directed at Sallia! Did you know that you are playing your Elven characters more intune with Tolkien than any of the rest of us?! *nods* Yep! Sallia's hyperactivity is EXACTLY how Tolkien wanted Elves to come across. I went back and re-read the first few pages of the chapter from "The Hobbit" where Bilbo and the gang enter Rivendell. "Foolishness" was a commonly used word by Tolkien to describe the Elves. But to those of us a little less inclined to be hyper... well... most of the time anyway... we can just say we're doing it PJ's way! (Peter Jackson's Way that is. Apparently the LOTR Director forgot the hyperness of Elves as well) So play on, my friends! PLAY ON!)))
~~~

Legede had thought he was on is way to Mordor.
He had thought that the Valar were on his side.
He... was wrong.
One moment the captain was flying through the air, and the next he landed on his backside in the Healing Spring. Up to his knees in water once he finally found his feet, the white haired Elf glared up at the sky.
"MANDOS!" he shouted in anger, realizing that the Vala had dropped him only half a mile or so from his past position. "MANDOS! THIS IS NOT WHAT I ASKED!" he shouted, not caring who heard him or who thought he was insane.
Mandos did not appear to him, for he was busy elsewhere, but his thoughts boomed from the sky above the captain.
"What you asked is forbidden and we shall not grant it!" the Vala spoke, even though he was in another place entirely. "What you asked for was of a selfish nature and brought on by your own anger, hatred, and self guilt. Look within yourself and tell me, truthfully, that you did not request our help only to bring about your own demise?"
Legede shook his head, angrily at first, but then in defeat. "I was rash... but that does not mean I had not the intention to..."
"But it does! You wanted death, and it is not within our designs to hand it to you so easily. If you still wish to die, than go to that death... but you will go without the gifts we have given you!"
Suddenly, Legede felt his body rise slightly. There was a sharp pain in his chest, exactly where his self-inflicted scar was, and then a bright light flew from him and up into the heavens. The captain fell back into the water, now on his knees, his head bent as he struggled to calm the rising anger and fear within himself.
"As long as your bear that scar... we will no longer aid you." Mandos spoke, before all went quiet.
But Legede did not look up. He starred down at the water, his hands clenched into fists at his sides.
The Valar had left him... and this time, the captain had brought it upon himself.

OOC:..... Hell yeah. ^___^ That would explain why everyone says that while our friend Steve would be a hobbit, I would be an elf. o.o;;;
Suddenly it all makes sense! Xx
And hun, I feel your pain for the flu. I have possibly bronchitis again; my bud Tony is over and has had to take care of me these past two days. Embarassing. >< *hug*
BIC:

Sallia hugged Legolas tightly, closing her eyes. "I would rather be hurt a bit fighting by your side, than sitting here and doing nothing." She began to cry a little, before lightly punching his arm. "I can fight now!"
Vala giggled a bit, bringing much attention to himself.
Sallia wrinkled her nose, looking up towards their son. "I think I leave him around Xarik'n too much, meleth."
Vala giggled more, winking. "You underestimate me!"
Sallia chuckled. "Aiie, I don't; you will make a fine young elf one day."
Vala stuck his tongue out at her. "You know, you're going to have to go fight anyhow. It's better you two fight together. You know how that goes."
Sallia nodded, resting her head on Legolas' chest. "You don't mind?"
Vala stared at her. "Listen, Mom, you'd better trust me on this. You are my mother, and thus I have a great respect for both you and Ada, but do not question me on this. You know it yourself better than I do----- Well, in a sense." His eyes sparkled; the child had vision. "Go and save Aunty Legolia. Oh, and it's almost sunset---- you might want to head to that clearing now, hmmm?"
~~~~~~~
The Tree Mother stepped out from the wooden sanctuary, pale blue-green and glowing softly.
"It has been many years since I have been spoken to as such." Her voice was soft and ethereal, like the wind, but deep and feminine. "So, it is time to banish that which has threatened us for so long? So be it. I ask you to first let those who are wounded finish healing... They will not be long, at all. Once the rogue exits the spring, you may. You know that I am called Mother for a reason." She took a few steps towards Mandos. "Very soon, my children will be fighting this threat. Will you look after them?"
~~~~~~~~~

Xarik'n nodded. "Of course. Actually, they were kinda sorta the first things I DID save..." he laughed nervously, scratching his head. "There are stables not too far beyond the ruins, where there is large tracts of land that allow them to roam. Oh----- and so you know, plans to attack Nufeniel and Melkor are going to be made within an hour, at that clearing over there." He pointed to the location. "I suggest you all attend."
~~~~~~~~
Shanra chuckled, hands on his hips. "My, you're hard to get. Keep the bottle. It is not a gift from myself, but from the devas that protect here; besides, you're a healer. It will come in handy. Wait and see."
He turned around, beginning to walk away before he stopped and glanced back at her. "I hope you know, I'm not giving up. There's a part of you that you can't hold back forever. I'll be waiting for the day it breaks free. You are unlike any woman or elf that I have known, Alandis..." He bowed slightly. "Whether you accept it or not, you have my admiration, and intrigue."
~~~~~~~
Vala approached Thranduil and Elandere cheerfully, nodding.
"Of course you have. Don't you know this place?" He blinked up at them, and grinned. "You do. Search yourself. So, Grandpa, what is YOUR views on my parents, especially Ada??? I've only heard my mother's side of the story. I am quite curious."
He scampered up onto his shoulder, affectionate and curious.
