Akihiko Sanada Rookie Detective and Japanese Boxing Featherweight Ranker "I'm glad you're all here," the authoritative voice of the Captain of the Caesar's Boxing Team came from the center of a ring in front of the spectators gathered inside the gym. At first glance around him, one would begin to notice some of the subtle changes that had taken place inside the room in the last day; machines had been relocated into some of the back rooms for the day, leaving the main lobby and training area of the gym mostly open. In the center of the room stood the ring where Akihiko was at the moment, and in the immediate area around it there were several fold-out chairs, standing areas walled off with strong tape, and a few single sets of bleachers in the back of the seating areas. In effect, the training room had become an arena capable of seating anywhere from 100-200, though it would be a bit of a tight fit. Putting the pieces together, it was obvious that there was some sort of competition or contest about to take place within the athletic compound built by Akihiko Sanada and his companions...something that was going to require the slightly-oversized competition ring. The silver-haired boxer looked down at the gathered crowd with a small smile, though it was more of a mask to hide his analytical gaze. There were many in the gathered group being sized up already...by their stature, nervous habits, and their own interest in what was taking place before them...whatever he was sizing them up for, however, was up to the imagination.
"As you may have noticed, the gym's been rearranged for one day only...and today, Caesar's Gym is going to host a competition to decide who is the strongest, most skilled, and best fighter in our small town," he explained casually, looking at the stunned looks on some of the spectators' faces, "the winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of one million yen, courtesy of the Caesar's Gym Boxing Team...a year's free pass to work out at the gym...and the distinction as the undisputed Guardian of Inaba." If nothing else, he knew that the money would be a draw for anyone who might have been shy about the idea of competing in a tournament in front of the entire town of Inaba; the rest was mostly for show, though it didn't make the contest any less interesting. Looking out across the crowd with a raised, silver eyebrow, he scanned and saw some of the more intrigued faces already chomping at the bit to compete. That was good...the more the merrier...and the closer he would come to finding out if there was anything useful to his case in this little deception. "The rules of the competition are simple: two people will enter the ring and fight with one another until one cannot continue due to unconsciousness, submission, or a judge's decision, or until a set time limit expires. Weapons will be permitted, but any potentially lethal weapons will be replaced with non-lethal substitutes. You may only use one weapon in any given match...and you are not required to use any, at all. And finally, if a battle is unable to come to a conclusion before the time limit, three judges...including myself...will make a ruling based on skill, style, and damage inflicted or avoided. All rulings are final, and any competitor who causes trouble for any reason may be ejected from the tournament at any time.'
'Any questions? Now then, the competition is open for registration. To register, please sign your name, indicate your choice of weaponry, and wait here in the gym to be called. We will begin the Tournament when a 16-person field of competitors has been reached. You may begin registration now."Quote: To join the competition, please make a post in the gym and at the bottom of it, fill out the form below.Entrant's Name: [Character's Name] Age: [Character's Age] Weapon: [What type of weapon will you use, if any? You may only choose one, and remember, the weapon you choose will be replaced with something non-lethal, but in the same style of weapon.] Other: [Nickname you want to be called, group you want to represent, or anything else you want the spectators to know about you.]

Ren perked up when she heard Akihiko's voice. It seemed a long time for her since the last time she has heard or seen Akihiko. As he mentioned the change in the gym she looked around. It must have taken some time to put all of this together. Ren noticed all the chairs and it striked her what this was all about just when he said the word "competition". Ren turned her attention back to Akihiko to listen to the rest of the details. Hearing the prizes and the details, she wasn't sure if she wanted to join or not. Of course she wanted to have one million yen, but she already had a free membership here (which only her and Akihiko know about), and she really wanted to be a low key kind of person. Ren found herself frozen in place wondering what she should do...

Daisuke decided to join the little competition since his brother asked him to join. He told him he would be rooting for him from the stands since it was his day off from training. He decided to watch his big brother fight in the tournament. Daisuke walked over to Akihiko and smiled shyly. " Hello I would like to sign up for this contest " He had worn his told fighting uniform which was a sleevles shirt with a blue dragon on it and a ki with the picture of a red sword on it and it had long sleeved with comfortable pants that came with the uniform. He saw his little brother givve him a thumbs up and smiled.

Kazuma entered the Gym just in time to hear Akihiko talking about a tournament. He placed his fingers on the eyepatch as he began to think to himself about what a joy it would be fighting against those equal or stronger than him, hopefully Shikari would be in it too. If he was going to be in the tournament as well surely Kazuma had to join to make sure that his other arm will be broken as well. Walking up to the registration area he began to fill out the paper work.
To join the competition, please make a post in the gym and at the bottom of it, fill out the form below.

Tia left Junes to give faust some alone time and decided to enter the fighting contest. It was a good chance for her to show what she learned from watching anime and manga. She had decided to choose a long katana as her weapon. She then walked voer to Akihiko and quickly attempted a flying karate kick aimed at his stomach but due to her hieght the kick was altered to a lower spot. " HHIYA I hav my entry fourm so get ready cuz the new guardian is HERE She said as she struck a dramatic big hero pose. Entrant's Name:Tia Izumi Age: 14 Weapon: long katana Other: EPIC Perfection

Fill my heart with song Mikael lifted his head listening to Akihiko for a moment before a wide grin broke across his lips. He subconsciously tightened his hand slightly around Riika's before looking back at her and grinning. "Hey, you actually get to see me do something I'm good at." He said chuckling before raising his hand. "Ill sign up." He said shrugging, it had been awhile since he had had a good fight, and a one up Riika would finally get to see him in his best 'form'.

Akihiko Sanada Rookie Detective and Japanese Boxing Featherweight Ranker Deftly avoiding the oncoming entrants, Akihiko nodded as they all presented themselves to him in their own ways and then slid out of the way and to his seat at the Judges' Table. The Registration would continue until the requirements had been fulfilled, and until then he had plenty of time to spare, finding judges his only priority until things were ready to go. To that end, the silver-haired man began to look around and try to catch sight of anyone that he might recognize as competent to judge in this sort of situation. Finally, his eyes landed on Ren...someone he knew from experience could land a vicious punch [she had nearly knocked the heavy bag off the chain the last time they trained together], and who didn't seem interested in fighting in the competition. Raising a hand in the direction of the girl he had spent such a night date with the other day, he motioned her over to the table to join him for a quick chat. He didn't know if she would be interested in judging the competition, so it was really up to her to decide if she wanted anything to do with it. Judging was a job that took a lot of scrutiny from the competitors and the fans...but it was a necessary evil, so to speak. Besides, a good fighter always knew that it was his or her own fault if they left the decision in the judges' hands.
He waited patiently for more competitors to head to the registration table, and for Ren to see him waving and come over to greet him.

Rednal merely sighed a little as he dropped off his registration form. Tournaments were usually quite interesting, though, so he was bound to see something that could make it worthwhile. And, of course, he wanted to have the opportunity to practice some of what he had learned. Unlike most people, Rednal didn't do Martial Arts as a hobby; he was one of the people who took it very seriously, though exactly why he did it wasn't known to very many people, especially considering how generally relaxed he was. But on the other hand... Quote: Entrant's Name: Rednal Ak'Thias Age: 16 Weapon: None Other: None

Ren was in deep thought, but she saw something that caught her eye. It was Akihiko waving to her to come to him. She just smiled a little and walked over to the Judges' Table. "So what brought up this competition all of a sudden?" she asked him. Ren had to admit that Inaba has been quiet except for the murders that have been going on. It might be a good comotion for Inaba then if this competition was held.
Ren looked like she was staring in space and as she realized it she rubbed the back of her head. "Sorry if I seem a little out of it. I've just been overthinking the littlist things today," she said to him as she smiled, a smile of reassurance saying that she was okay.

After filling out his registration sheet he sat don in one of the chairs and waited for the other entrants to come. He stared at Kazuma and remembered he was the man responsible for the breaking Shikari's arm. He started to tremble a bit in his legs . ' Man that guy looks like he is bad news. breaking another guys arm I hope I dont have to face him He thought as his gaze was fixated on Kazuma. Meanwhile his brother went over to the judging table and walked to akihiko and smiled " Hey Mister have you ever fought in a tournament before He said as he sat next to him.

Akihiko Sanada Rookie Detective and Japanese Boxing Featherweight Ranker Akihiko smiled in return as Ren made her way over to the Judges' Table to meet him, and felt himself growing a bit more comfortable with the whole commotion once she was close enough that he could reach her. There was actually quite a bit on the line with this tournament happening; this was a risk that he was taking on his own head, suggested by someone he couldn't exactly share with the general public. But if all worked out, it might lead to he and the former SEES Members [not to mention the Inaba Police Department] getting a clue into the identity of the murderer(s) that were terrorizing the small, rural community. Sadly, that was also something that he couldn't tell just anybody, and he felt bad when Ren asked him what brought on the Tournament that he couldn't reveal everything. He definitely trusted her enough, but...well, not everything in the story was something she was likely to believe. Or understand. "I'm glad you made it," he told her honestly, standing from his chair for a moment to give her hand a light squeeze. He released it just as quickly and took a look around the room, as if marveling at what was going on within his own gym, and barely noticed when she seemed to drift off [as he had been doing the same]. "The Tournament? Well, I thought it would be a good diversion from what's been going on around here lately," he explained, revealing a small portion of the larger truth...but as much as he could at the moment, "the way things are going, it's been taking more and more extravagant distractions to ease the minds of the townspeople. I'm not even sure this will do the trick, honestly...but I had to do something."
He would have continued, but at that moment he was interrupted by the voice of a young man asking him a question about his own participation in Tournaments. Motioning for Ren to wait a moment, he glanced back at the boy with a smile. "Well, nothing quite like this...but in Amateurs, I fought in a lot of different boxing tournaments," he explained, "say, I don't think I've seen you around here before. I'm Akihiko Sanada...and this here is Ren Haruko...who I was just about to ask if she wanted to be a judge for the Tournament today. ...Ren?" He glanced back over his shoulder at Ren with a sly smile, letting her know that...yes...he was offering her one of the three judge positions for the Tournament today. He did need judges, after all, and she was as trustworthy as he could ask for. And he definitely knew that she could fight, so...what was there to lose?

Yuuki mentioned about going to the gym to find Ren to Shikari. Yuuki held Shikari's uninjured hand and walked into the gym with him. As she walked in she noticed the arena in the middle and chairs around it. She also noticed the crowd and realized that a competition was going to be held here. Yuuki started to look around and spotted Ren over by the Judges' Table talking to Akihiko. She sighed in relief, "I found her. She is talking to Akihiko-San...."

As he walked over here with Yuuki he kept hold of her hand as well. Looking around he soon enough spotted Ren as well, and she was a judge? So there was a tournament going on. Yet, he had a broken arm. He sighed a bit since he had actually wanted to join something like this, but maybe he still can? Looking around he soon spotted Kazuma, and he felt the anger coming back to his body, but he just shook it off. Maybe he should join the tournament? It would give him a good chance to get back at Kazuma...But would he do as well with one arm? He would give it a shot. Letting his hand slip out of Yuuki's grasp he went over to the sign ups, writing a form for himself. It had been a while since Shikari had been in a tournament like these, but hopefully he do just fine. It would help him train his other arm, and it should be interesting fighting with one arm. He just wondered of what would happen if he was up against Kazuma. He knew he would have to get back at him somehow.

Ren smiled as Akihiko shook her hand and she nodded her head as she listened to Akihiko's explaination. "Yeah, I kind of figured that was the reason already before I walked over to this table. These murders have been getting to a lot of people especially the younger kids since it has been their classmates. We can just hope for the best of this works," she said as she sighed a little. Ren then noticed the young man coming up to Akihiko and asked him about Tournaments. She just smiled a little as it reminded her when she watched Akihiko's tournaments on the television. Hearing Akihiko introduce her to the young man she bowed respectively. Ren froze for a moment when he said that he was going to ask her to be a judge. Did she hear correctly? She must have because Akihiko gave her smile.
"Yeah, I'll be judge for the Tournament today. It sounds like fun," she said as she laughed a little and she then smiled.
Yuuki then felt something slip out of her hand and she noticed Shikari going to the regristration table. "H-Hey!" she said as she followed after Shikari. "Are you sure you want to sign up for this? You have a broken arm." Yuuki looked around and noticed that Kazuma was here as well. "You want to fight Kazuma don't you? Revenge is not going to solve anything."

As he turned in his registration he noticed Yuuki aside him, and he listened to what she said. Then listening to what Yuuki said next he rubbed the back of his head. "I know...But I'm not joining this for revenge. I've been wanting to join something like this for a while, but at the same time I sort of do want revenge..." He had to admit as he let out a sigh. He really did want to get back at Kazuma, but he was pretty useless with one arm. "But this is a random drawing tournament anyway, so what are the chances of me actually getting into a fight with him here? Don't worry though. I'll be careful this time. A broken arm won't stop me this time," He said as he smiled lightly before messing with Yuuki's hair like he use to do before they got together. It was something he only did to Yuuki, and he really didn't want her to worry. Though, he wondered if he could use his cast as a weapon...Well, the only other thing he hoped for was the the doctors who patched him up wouldn't come and hunt him down here, even though it would make an amusing story.
