not too genre bending after all you could be aiming for arcane-tech steampunk or NeoVictorian instead of classic steampunk. I actually like the sterile feel it invokes... almost like going to a goth club and seeing that one person in nothing but white while everyone else is in standard issue costuming.

I have to say I love your outfit. o wo The puffy-shouldered bolero is used well, but for all the finery, the knife is what makes it. I want to say I'm reminded of the legends of assassins who masqueraded as courtesans in an attempt to be invited into their target's bedrooms, but I'm not sure if that comes off as offensive and I really hope it doesn't. D;

What's interesting about this avatar is that it seems to tell a story. Unfortunately I'm not crystal clear on what that is, but I'm kind of frightened and I think I'm supposed to be.
From an aesthetic standpoint, I don't love this. There are so many different colors that don't work particularly well together competing for attention. That combines with the fact that there are so many elements and layers to it and it's a little dizzying.
I think the axe is the most interesting single piece and it might be better to tone down the rest of this in such a way that is stands out better, because right now it's lost in the clothes. The colorblock vest, which may be my least favorite item on this avatar, is drawing the most attention, which is really unfortunate.

It's very classy which is an element often overlooked in steampunk. The blues prove that different shades of brown aren't the main ingrediant for the genre. Well done indeed.

I like how yer avatar gives me a vibe of "gotta watch the stars, but gotta watch the time!" I like the subtle, pastel colors, plus the dog fits with the color scheme.
