My first was an Atari 2600, which I had until a few years ago. It was freedom...from the girl down the street. She had Pong, and in order to play it, I had to play Barbie with her for 30 minutes, then she would let me play Pong for 10 minutes. When I got my 2600 I was free from Barbie bondage! Yes, that was a very very long time ago. I also had some Coleco hand-held sports games that were red dots on a black field - very high tech. I still have one (forget the maker) called Submarine Chase and it still worked last time I played it. I didn't get a new system until the NES came out I loved that 2600 so much.

We got a NES in 88~ Came with Mario Bros and Duck Hunt! I've owned soon many systems since then! I'd say I played Snes and Sega Genesis the most as a child.

I once owned an Atari console. Lots of fun back then. Gone now. And my daughter took her Wii with her when she went to college. lol

SNES..since then I've not played with Mario much, but he'll always hold a special place.

A Sega Genesis that came with Sonic the Hedgehog 2. That's still my favorite Sonic game.

Anyone remember THIS bad boy???  That was my big Christmas present when I was 13 I think??? Played it until my eyes bled!!! LOL Got to the point where I couldn't find anyone to play against because nobody ever scored on me... (I started letting my stepbrother win sometimes)

haha yup. was one of our first systems back in the day. Whole neighborhood came by to play it. I was a kid and my parents would be up all night playing it. After school I'd play it. We had that and the Atari, playing Space Invaders. Everyone wanted to play that.

My parents did not want me to have a video game console so my first console was a Playstation 2 that I bought with my own money from my first job.

*Points to the NES system on his wall which was his 11th Birthday main gift in May of 1990.*
Had Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros included, along with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles right off the bat. Ended up getting several other games over the years for it as well.
Now have the NES, N64 (with extended memory), PS One, PS2 Slim, PS3, PS Vita, XBox 360, 3DS XL, original Gameboy, and Gameboy Color. sweatdrop

The first system I had was a PS1, gifted to me by my parents in '98. My favourite games for it were probably Spyro and Rayman; sometimes I still like to fire them up on the PS2.
My first handheld was a Gameboy Pocket that I saved up for months and months for - and then saved up for months and months again to buy Pokemon Red which I ended up utterly obsessed with!

I can't remember when I got it but the first console that I personally owned was a Nintendo Game Boy Advance.
