"Well... I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving a good soldier out in the field without a helmet." I said laughing slightly. " But I'm gonna get to work on it anyway, just in case. The Radar will feed off the Pip boy frequencies and heat signatures. And the optics device to cover your eyes will teach you to strike where you need to first. Like imminent defense and attack." I got up and walked towards her, step ladder, clipboard, and tape measurer. "Okay lets get to this. Mind you I feel awkward. Always have around women, no matter who. So pardon me if I seem fidgety. Especially around one that could crush me with a single smack. Not that you'd do that, but you get the point!" I said nervously then closing my eyes and tried to calm down. "Okay limbs first."I motioned for her to extend her arm.

xx"If you don't find it too troublesome, then okay," Abraxia said, still somewhat worried she would be taking up too much time. She began to move to position herself as instructed, raising her grey-green skinned arms up and out horizontally for Dylan to measure.
xx"No fear, little brother. I would never hurt you." She rumbled good-naturedly, settling into a stance so the mechnically-inclined human could get a proper measure. The drape-like clothing she wore for now was well-fastened and of thick cloth, bound about the waist several times with a broad piece of scrap cloth. Abraxia held herself still and patient, shifting and twisting as requested so Dylan could get accurate results.

I took note of the first arm and finger size and asked. "Do you honestly feel different on either side? Like inch wise?" I said then doing the same sides leg, jotting down measurements here and fro, circumferences, lengths, thicknesses etc. I went from the left side and then the right doing the same and getting about the same results. *several minutes pass* I complete the measurements on over 25 separate but semi-important factors. "Impressive! Really!" I say astounded with the mere struggle I had with some parts but the utter sizes and shapes that made up her frame was astounding. Her arms alone practically made up my torso. "Okay, good."I lay the clipboard down and go to a table, tired. "Geez..." I say wiping my brow.

Brutus had a very difficult time imagining such a helmet. He wasnt good at making them, saw little need or desire for one and hated the idea of further containing his flesh. This wasnt for him though, it would be for his sister. "Well sis... how do YOU want the helmet to look? After all you're going to be the one using it. We can make just about anything you would want, but you seem kind of unhappy with the idea of such a fancy helmet." He turned to Dylan. "I would be doing the numbers friend... but I cant read the tape so well and numbers make my head hurt." As a matter of fact, just thinking about thinking about numbers made his head hurt. "Once all the measurments are done, I can get started on working the steel. I'll leave the leather working to you guys though... my fat fingers dont hold a needle too well."
((Dylan, although it sounds cool, the whole optical thing doesnt really seem to be necesary. I mean she's a mutant... she's going to smack any human once with a melee weapon and thier arm will break or something. To mutants and deathclaws it might be different but it seems kinda over powered for the level and just simply unnecesary. I'd ask Xenos or EV about it when they come back and see what they say about it))

xx"Er..." Abraxia studied her hands. "Not sure? I not be so good with numbers." She shifted her shoulders, feeling a little stiff from standing still and posing while Dylan got the measurements down. It seemed that part was done, however.
xxShe looked at Brutus then, nodding. "I don't want to be much trouble. Don't worry about helmet. Armour more important. I want to learn what Brutus knows on making it." It was not a skill she was familiar with, but she had strength and she had managed to beat herself out a breastplate and spaulder in the Wasteland. Given the proper tools and training, she could hopefully help produce useful metalgoods for the Brotherhood. It would also give her something to occupy her time outside of missions and practice.
(Although the helmet is interesting in concept, I'd have to agree with Brutus. Make something simple, but no need to add in optics or radar.)

[ 3 days after Basic Training ]
Becoming familiar with the environment of the Brotherhood compound, it was appropriate to commit the majority of his free time memorizing the areas of the bunker itself. Considering his weapon of choice, he received orders from his superiors to check out the forge. Knowing well if he continued relying on these bladed beauties, the tribal would eventually need new ones forged altogether.
The Asian warrior slowly paced inside the domain of the Knight Commander. He didn't necessarily had experience with super mutants, thus it would serve as a good educational experience to confront one face to face. Unwilling to live his savage comrade alone, he brought his behemoth of a pet to serve as his typical guard. Marching into the direction of the head smith, he didn't bother addressing him for the meanwhile.
Watching the initiates having a conversation with the knight commander, he would stay with his current routine in remaining unspoken. He wasn't much of a social person, thus it explained why he kept to himself. Waiting for Brutus to notice him, he study his physical features silently, quickly getting interested in testing the reputation this brutal man of high rank has marked in the Brotherhood of Steel.

He had noticed the tribal enter, but wanted to finish with the matter at hand before moving on. "We'll worry about a helmet later then and get the bulk of the armor done first." He took the measurments from Dylan and smiled. "Thank you Brother, I believe Braxi and I will go ahead and start to pound out the armor. If you wish to help then you can stay and lend a hand when needed. I wanna go see what our brother over there wishes to say first before we get the project started." With a polite nod, he walked over to the man and lizard combo, holding a hand int he air as a greeting. "Hello brother... I dont believe I've seen much of you around lately. I am Brutus the Dehumanized, might I ask your name? You seem to be a man of an honorable up bringing with a keen sense of nature. I can respect that and hold both things in high regards." This man was clearly strong by human standards and was very tall too. He seemed like an interesting person to have as an ally and someone worse to make enemies with.
((Thanx Dylan, but Brutus already has a method for curring his blindness: psycho. It's a story line thing and to make such a story short, Brutus needs Psycho like he does water but not in the way like a junkie needs a fix. Part of the reason why he fights so feircly is because psycho flows through parts of his mutated body... he was an experiment with such a drug. WHen injected with psycho, he can see clearly and think quickly, but without it he's like the above average mutant we're used to seeing. I ussualy have him resist the temptation to shoot up because he feels drugs are for cheaters... aside from Stimpacks i mean. He susues it only when he needs to like in a high stakes fight.))

Walking in to the Forge, the lone Initiate seeks out Brutus, the Super mutant who was recently in his office for a personal Issue- he knew Brutus was the cheif smith of the Forges, and even if he had never been in a forge this well operated and maintained, Joker dremt of it all the time. He had some skill in crafting armor and weapons, so he might as well have put these skill to use for the Brotherhood.
"Helloooooo? Excuse me, anyone here? I need some help please!" Searching around for someone who can help, Joker finds Brutus talking with another Super Mutant, Owari, and some Vault-dweller human.
"Ah, Brutus! I could use your help, sir. See, I have a suit of Metal armor... and I want it reinforced to make it tougher, so I can take more hits in the field. I figure the Brotherhood needs more people like me to use as Shock Troopers, so the extra metal plating could mean the difference between life and death. What do you think you can whip up? Also, if you don't think it's be asking too much, I wanted to talk to you about working here in the Forges part time. When I was young me father taught me about fixing cars and working with metal, etc. I figure if I can help the Brotherhood by working as many jobs as possible, then so be it."

xxAbraxia grinned at Brutus and Dylan. "I be sorting out some metal then," she said. She pulled her bandana back up into its comfortable place of rest, and turned her attention to the scraps dumped on the worktable. Brutus was the one in charge of the Forge, so she mostly overlooked the two brothers who had entered, figuring the other mutant would see to them.
xxHer large hands roamed over the pile, seperating her old spiked army spaulder and several large, dented plates of steel. She shifted slowly and took her time, inspecting various metal scrap bits. Those she was uncertain about she showed to Dylan, asking him if she should keep it or toss it back in. Slowly, a decently-sized heap of reusable material grew on one side of the table, to be heated and reforged.

“Most see tribals like me primitive in a barbaric way and dumb, so hearing such a being like yourself calling our upbringings honorable is very refreshing from the usual crap. My name is Owari Komodo, initiate of the Brotherhood of Steel, Renegade squad and the last of the Ryukas tribe."
Owari was astonished that someone deemed them more of a superior form of humanity within the wasteland, so it explained how his usual tone vanished for a mere second. Sensing his demeanor change for a slight moment, Kiro sat on the solid ground and became laid back for a bit. Usually vigilant yet hostile to stay protective of Owari, this was clear proof that the albino lizard had a keen sense that connected with its owner. After giving a surprised facial expression, he went back to his normal callous state to address the Knight Commander.
“This might seem sudden, but I heard about your tales in this group. Hearing these stories, kinda curious whether or not you would accept a spar with no restrictions between us. Not familiar with super mutants’ altogether, thus my only ideal method would be through battle to better understand each other. Will you accept my spar, Knight Commander Brutus?"
To get the tribal to release himself from his usual detached state was rare, obviously showing that even the Ryukas tribal possessed hidden emotions and could shift his behavior once in a while. Combat was common grounds that even a stolid figure like Owari could communicate physically.

As the tribal mentioned the possibility of a fight Brutus' face began to warp with a grin. At last he let out a mighty bellow of joy, a deep bellied laugh that showed his amusement. "YES! A challenge! I accept my friend! I have work to be done here before I could possibly consider leaving my forge though." He knelt down beside him, paying little mind to the large lizard close by. "All of my Brothers and Sisters are important to me and your willingness to face me in combat speaks volumes of your valor. Fear not warrior, I shall bloody my knuckles with you soon enough. I promised our sister that I would aid her first though. Meet me at the gym in two days around this time. I will be sure to see you there." With that and a nod he rose once more, turning back to his sister who had seperated metal into piles. "Hmmmm let's see what we have to work with here..." He smiled at his sister lovingly and then began to inspect each piece one by one. Her shoulder piece was in good enough condition to be used, but needed some sprucing up. He was lucky to find three pieces of steel that were still useable in the state they were in. With these pieces he could reinforce boots with steel plates and make a whole new shoulder piece. "You did a fine job sorting these pieces my friend. I have found enough metal to pound out toe, ankle, shin and leg guards along with enough left over to bend into a shoulder guard. The rest, although in good shape, will not be able to be used as is. We have to work it a little more than it is." He grabbed the unusable pieces and beckoned her over to where the tools were. "See, these pieces still have impurities in them, we have to pound out the small dents and then heat it up a little to pound them into the shape we need. We can probibly make a breastplate out of this large peice here and some glove reinforments with these smaller ones. Can I trust you to hammer out the dents in the steel?" He smiled at her and patted her on the back a few times, handing her a smith's hammer. It was Mutant sized and a little heavy even by mutant standards. He finaly made way over to Joker who had asked him about working part time and some new armor. "Unlike Braxi who has no armor, I cannot make armor for you without permission from the Boss. I'd be happy to once I do though, just ask him. And I could always use another hand here in the Forge. Do you know how to make metal spikes? I have the hardest time making them with my large hands and everyone seems to like them. If you wanted to start now, you could start to make spikes for Braxi's shoulder guard. The older one is over there and you can get the measurments from the spikes on it. All of the other tools needed are at the other end of the forge, where Braxi is now, on the tables with the tools." Things really seemed to be picking up in the forge.

xx"Hullo, Owari. Hullo, Joker," the grey-skinned woman greeted her two human brothers from where she stood organizing the scrap at a table. Then her attention was drawn to her mutant brother and new teacher in the art of metalcraft.
xxAbraxia beamed back, pleased to have figured out something correctly. She followed Brutus over to a work station, listening to his explanation of the process of dealing with impurities in some of the metal. The general gist of it she understood, and the rest would likely come through trial and error. She accepted the hammer and found it surprisingly heavy.
xx"I will get to work on this," she said agreeably, but did not immediately set about to hammering out the dents in the steel, instead observing Brutus's conversation with Joker. "Oh! You be working here, too? That's good," Abraxia commented, beginning to arrange her task out, settling on a few decently-sized dents to start with.
xxThe sound of her hammer crashing against the metal followed shortly thereafter, and she paused. "Sorry if it be loud," she murmured, but kept right on going.
