A loud, unsympathetic laugh.
"No, this is not Earth." The girl grinned. Her smile was unsympathetic as well. "So you really are lost, then. Would you like to be shown the way out of this forest? You won't be safe here alone. Not in the dark."

The girl backs up uneasily, feeling no remorse from these people. She trembles a bit, her rod being clutched tighter, her knuckles white. Her eyes turn red.
"I don't know...if I should trust you."
She glances around at the people surrounding her, uneasy and a bit afraid.

The girl shrugged, still grinning.
"I don't need you to trust me," she replied, "If you're afraid I might kill you, just think about it. You'll be killed if you stay here alone, so you would die either way. But if I'm telling the truth, then it's your only chance, isn't it?"

The girl looks down after awhile and sighs. She relaxes her stance, her eyes returning to their normal gray color. Her rod shortens and she sticks it into a pouch on her waist.
"Alright...I'll trust you."
She looks up, her face relaxed.
"I was with a close friend when I blacked out and woke up here. I..."
She closes her eyes.
"I don't know what to do..."

"Then come with me. I'll take you to those who can help you."
She laughed a bit after she said this, as if it were some private joke, and turned beckoning the other girl to follow her. She walked slowly, meandering through the forest as if she were out for some walk, and sticking to the darkest part of the shadows, keeping most of her body hidden and dark.

The girl noticed the stranger walking and jogged a bit to catch up. She looks around, noticing the dark parts of the woods. She shudders a bit as she continues to keep up.
Maybe I should get to know her better...
"So...what's your name?"

She stopped for a moment and looked over her shoulder, then continued walking, answering as she did so.
"My full name is Descasha, but you can just call me Sasha if that's easier for you." She was silent again as she continued on her way.

"Descasha..." The girl says trying it on her tongue.
She looks up in thought.
"What an interesting name...Who gave it to you?"
Celia looks at the girl's back, waiting, watching.

This time Descasha completely stopped and turned around to look at the girl, searching her face. Her own face was full of confusion and fear and, realizing this, she turned away to hide it. What was wrong with her? It wasn't important.
"I don't know," she finally answered, still facing away, but still not moving, "Maybe it was my master, but I don't have any memories of things like that."

The girl had halted at Descasha's movement, curious at her expression. At her words, she understood. She looks down while smiling sadly.
"Oh...you too, huh?"

"No!" It was a bit louder than she had meant it to be, "I'm not like you! I was powerful once! I was glorified! I was above all!"
She turned back to the girl now, her eyes smoldering, and her face contorted in fury. "I was whole..." She looked at her hand, and then back to the girl, clenching her teeth and feeling the heat in her face. "Forget I said that. It's not important for you."

The girl had jumped at the sudden increase in voice. She stood her ground as Descasha yelled. After she stopped, she sighed.
"At least you were once something...I've been a nobody all my life. Not even my own parents remember me, yet I'm hunted everyday by the ones who walk the night. The girl raises a hand to her heart.
"I've...never been whole. I'm sorry this happened to you...and it may not be important to me, but..."
The girl's face softens.
"...it must be very important to you."
She looks down, her silver bangs covering her eyes.
"I'm sorry if I offended you in any way...I'll stay quiet, I owe you that much."

She looked down at the ground. Was she feeling remorse? Her?! It had been so long since she had felt much at all, and it felt almost... overpowering.
"No," she answered, quieter now, "You don't have to do that. I should be thanking you. You haven't had it easy either, I understand, so you have no reason to apologize. Besides, I'm not anyone anymore, just a broken shell of what I used to be. No one remembers me, but at least I'm not hunted like you are. Actually, everything just seems to avoid me now. You're the first contact I've had in a very long time."

The girl was shocked at the sincerity in Descasha's voice. She smiled warmly.
"It's alright. I don't care about those sort of things."
The girl walks over and places a hand on her shoulder.
"Well...if you're a former shell, that means you're someone new. It's in this state that you'll meet new people, make new friends, and do great things."
The girl smiles cunningly, her eyes shining a bit.
"I can tell..."
She giggles as she steps back.
"By the way...My name..."
She curtsies.
"...is Celia."

Descasha smiled. It was an honest smile this time, one of actual genuine happiness. How long had it been?
"Celia, hm?" She bowed. "I am pleased to make your acquaintance. And thank you again. perhaps you're right. Maybe my past isn't so important. Maybe... I can be at peace now."
