Thanks for that SoraMee! I think I actually remember that the game that made it to America (Drac X) had a skeleton ape or more on the first level. I can't believe I forgot about that one! sweatdrop
Hey, you know what might be a bit bizarre to see in a game? A tape worm monster! Well, maybe not so much, with all the food items in CV, it might not be such a ludicrous idea in the first place, he-he. Anywho, my thoughts were that, the tape worm monster could start to be very small and, if you don't kill it quickly (before it gets inside the character) it could grow over time and every food item you consume, would only heal you less depending on the size of the worm. I think it could be real funny to see that, after a long period of time, the character would eat a muffin (for example) and regain half of what you were supposed to recover. After the worm gets to a good size, the character could even have trouble moving and, food items would hardly help recover HP at all. I was also thinking that if you wanted the worm removed, you could have another character remove it by taking you and the worm into another dimension or separate room. You could then fight it and it could be like a boss battle; depending on the size of the worm, it could be even tougher to defeat. What do you think everyone?

I'd make something like the tapeworm, but would be like the Egg(s) did in MG2:SS. Have it hatch and start randomly running around your inventory screen munching on/infesting all your edibles, weaking your potions so they either heal alittle or even hurt you.
A tapeworm boss sounds good...in the intestines of a monster that swallowed you.

Wow, that's a good idea, Roy! A tapeworm boss...kind of like that worm thing in PoR, inside the desert painting. Only that reminded me of the thing from Starwars. (^^for all you starwars fans out there)
And great idea, Kenshin! I suppose if you had that tapeworm inside you, then you wouldn't only gain less hp each time you ate, but you might lose health bit by bit, like when you're poisoned. Wonder how it would get inside you... xp augh, nasty.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm glad I even inspired Mr. Roy to make a different version of his own. I was also thinking that such a monster could be fought many times and in many different stages. That way, as your character grows, you can choose to fight it when it's only a few meters long, or about 50 meters long if you are at a high level. I think that could add great replay value to a boss fight cuz the boss would behave differently depending on its size, don't you think everyone? Besides, a monster like that would probably behave differently depending on how much it's grown. For example, it's not the same to battle against a 3 meter long worm than to fight against a 100 meters long one. Wouldn't you say? And what if the worm sprouts tentacles like the Sarlacc Pit Monster from Star Wars? I think this monster could be pretty cool to see in many of its evolutionary stages. I was thinking that it could even use its tentacles to steal food from you as you battle it. Think about it, you come too close, a tentacle reaches into yer pockets and grabs a hamburger out of it. There goes the only item you had to restore yer health! Oh boy, ha-ha!
I suppose the evolving items sorta inspired me for this, he-he. Kinda like SoraMee says. wink

Kenshin Belmont I know, but at least those 9 potions actually help more cuz they heal between 50 & 100 hit points. And since it's not as tough to get items in the most recent games, it must be why they don't allow 99 of every item. I'm sure they must have thought that if you have 99 of every healing item, the game can become too easy like in SotN. rolleyes Roy Campbell I'd make something like the tapeworm, but would be like the Egg(s) did in MG2:SS. Have it hatch and start randomly running around your inventory screen munching on/infesting all your edibles, weaking your potions so they either heal alittle or even hurt you. Maybe the merchant should have a limited stock of useable items, instead of a monster running 'round your inventory eating the stuff you bought...D3R Z0MB13 Koemiko Would that have anything to do with Japanese censorship? It mostlikely has something to do with the gothic style. In traditional european art men and women are depicted as naked. i dont know if any of you noticed this but in DoS the stair rails leading to the doors had naked women on the end of them. Which stairs to which doors?

Well this didn't bother me till I saw Jojo's Bizzare Adventure. in DoS when you fight Zephyr in the clocktower. how time kept stopping and I was having knives thrown at me and being taunted with "Toki Wa Tomare!" then I thought about it
Time-Stopping Abuse + Clock Tower + Knives + Japanese saying = Za Warudo!
Turns out Zephyr is Homage to Dio Brando when he fought Joseph in a clock tower towards the end of the 3rd series. It took a bit longer to catch it I just wish they would have made it an obvious tribute by making him say "Za Warudo!"

Gee, I had no idea that the Zephir was supposed to be an homage to anything, let alone anyone! xd BTW, while you guys make your list, wouldn't it be good for you to check out the first posts in this page? I think you'd like the tapeworm idea for a new boss. 3nodding
