I haven't tried 4th edition yet. I still have a shitload of rolled characters for 3.5, but no one to play with crying

Well i played 4th ed for a few sessions in a campaign..i was a human warlord and i took the student of the sword feat to crossclass fighter. I will just be playing a newer (and hopefully longer running) game this time, and that last time, the second player handbook wasnt out yet.
Sorry Driadon man...not many people played 3.5 it was kinda like the b*****d son.
Some of the guys i play with are hardcore and been playing since early d&d and have every book since the first...and most of them didnt even get 3.5
lol they didnt feel the need to get the whole new set when there wasnt enough different between it and 3rd. I know i didnt want to, because i had some sweet 3rd party source books not available in 3.5
But, they have all made the jump to 4th

Sadly there wasn't much difference with 3.5 and 3rd. Hell the only reason why I have any books on 3.5 is because my original gaming group that got me into D&D first started with classic AD&D then we all decided to convert that game to 3.5

Sadly, I play neither. The only other pen and paper RPG I play outside of D&D is Cthulhutech.

Apok-a-lyptikon ah. any one play d20 Modern or Mutants and Masterminds? OMG!!! I <3 D20 modern and all of the extra sourcebooks! for a while i was a cyberwarrior...basically a cyborg who becomes one with his implants and starts growing new ones....

Apok-a-lyptikon Dont they have one called Call of Cthulhu? I wanted to play it... Yep! it was based on the d20 rules...the 3rd edition style ones because that is when it came out...if i remember correctly...

But for the cyberwarrior, the quickest way into that class is the strong hero... sometimes being a fast hero with double guns can be fun

Allen is always the fast hero. he models his after Gambit from X men.
For Mutants and Masterminds, I made The Valkyrie. I had a war hammer with thunder/lightening powers and super strenght with flawed wings.

The other night i played 4th ed...and the dm was allowing any races that had been converted over, even ones that had been featured in Dungeon magazine or Dragon magazine..
SOOOO i ended up making a Minotaur Warlord
