2. Also i don't think the movie should be 5 h ours long i think they should have only combined two of the books rather then 3 it would be better and they could fit every thing in fine

but its true i know sunny you can't help except her wise cracks like this lady is the mayor of crazy town that was evil sad

Yeah, the movie was mucked. Lemony Snicket didn't even write it! The guy who wrote Men in Black wrote it! I mean, how unfortunate is that? I personally think they could have done a better job, and they should have just kept it in order and let Violet invent the grappling hook! That was weird. Klaus isn't supposed to have any part in that scene. But seeing as how I won tickets to see it early-I could deal.

The movie made me really mad. They only spent like, ten minutes on each book and the rest was on extras. They didn't have spyglasses, or pictures, or eyes that burn things. It's not even known for certain that Count Olaf killed their parents. Klaus didn't climb the wall, Violet did, and Violet got away with signing with her right hand. They can't have the humor of Klaus found himself reading the same sentence over and over again. Klaus found himself reading the same sentence opver and over again. The movie was evil. The only things they did well were, the Littlest Elf short at the beginning, Aunt Josephine's house, Aunt Josephine's personality, and uncle Monty's relationship with the Baudelaire's. For a 2.5 hour movie, that's pathetic.

Guys, guys. Lets calm down. The movie wasn't that bad. I mean. They did have a time limit. And they need to make stuff understandable (Is that even a word? XD) to the people that haven't read the books. My mother loved Sunny and her wise cracks. Sunny isn't stupid. She does kind of say stuff like that in the books but not has much. In book 4 with Klaus and the glasses. They might just have him leave on his reading glasses or something. What I want to see is book 6 when Sunny climbs up the elevator. (Even though they might skip it.. stare ) The actor for Klaus was great. I dont know what you guys are talking about! O_o

Sorry, I haven't read through all the points, I'm supposed to be working now, but in the first post it was mentioned that she thought Mr Poe looked like Peter Pettigrew out of Harry Potter. That could possibly be because it is biggrin . Just thought I'd clear that up, but sorry if someone has already done so domokun .

Sorry to keep this going, but to be honest, the biggest mistake was making the movie in the first place. Yes, I thought Emily Browning looked nice in the "Gothic Lolita" dress, but that was about the best part; the costuming. I'm of the opinion that books should never be made into movies.

what really bothered me was klaus didnt have glasses domokun

He has glasses for reading, however, he is seen with them sparingly. I am most bothered by this fact. Also, I find it depressing that Sunny could magicaly walk. Although, her ability to walk hurried the action. There should not have been three books compressed into one movie. The movie hardly did justice to the prose of Mr. Handler.

Are you saying that they should make thirteen movies? I'm sure the cinema companies and non-readers but movie-goers would dearly love that.

No, I believe that one movie should have been made. If it grossed enough, then the others could be made. While it is extremely rare to have thirteen movies in a series, it could be done. However, I would rather just have them focus on making one good movie out of one great book, instead of creating one mediocre film out of three fantastic novels. I truly hope that you all agree with me. (for your sake!) twisted

I think the biggest error in that movie (and there were many) was casting Jim Carrey as Olaf. He's supposed to be this evil, terrifying character, and Carrey just overplayed him and made him too... funny. Ordinarily, I have nothing against Jim Carrey, but he should not have been in that movie.
