Ah, one of my favorite films of all time.

The detail is amazing, as is all Miyazaki films.

Spirited Away is my favourite movie of all time. It just inspired me & made me feel happiness that I have never felt before, which other movies have failed to do to me. My favourite character is Chihiro. She just made me smile & her attitude that changes through the story is just great.

i'm not sure why this movie is so much more famous than all the other ones. to be honest, this one reallyisn't my favorite.
Chihiro is just such a frail and easily-pushed aside girl. I'm not sure if that's the right word for it, but it's just that she seems always misproven by everyone untill she's able to do something right. Some people don't even listen to her.
example: Chihiro's parents start eating, and they won't even listen to what she says, even before they start eating *piggishly.*
another example: Chihiro asks Yubaba for a job, and Yubaba just zips her mouth up!
Finally!: when Chihiro tries getting a bath token, the guy just doesn't give to her! No Face has to sneak up and steal one for her!

You think that Chihiro is not strong enough to be a main character? But she is very much like any other 8-10 year girl and she faces many spirits in her "spirited away" time. Perhaps it is because older "girls", such as myself, would just love to go through such an experience half as well as she does. Remember that she is from a middle class child and has not had to be a "servant" to anyone, I'm sure. It does have a touch of going to DisneyLand ...
