Struggling to get up, Keiji stammered, "S-sorry, Meishka! I-i was just t-trying to-" He stopped short when he glimpsed her hair. For some unknown reason he felt himself captivated by it. It danced lightly in the small breeze and thought he caught a scent from the past, that he sensed should have brought back memories, but returned none.
An acorn fell on his head with a small thud and brought him back to reality. "I-I'm so sorry!" He tried to get up, but kept falling over himself, eventually managing to get off of her and somewhat upright.

Finally able to get up, Meishka did so and brushed herself off. Meishka noticed the look in Masas face when her hair was down. What was interesting about it? It's just hair. She shook her head to dislodge her confusion momentarily. Back to the matter at hand.
It is fine Masa. No apologize for accident. If Masa always look on past mistake, Masa never go forward.
Meishka said oddly profoundly. She shook her head slightly again and tried to focus. Masa brought strange things out in Meishka.
Focus Meishka!
Ok. Masa must learn balance. And insight. Insight is good key to balance.
Meishka took Masa by the hand and lead him to the balancing poles the training ground had.

Keiji stumbled along behind Meishka, trying his best not to trip over rocks, branches, and either of their feet.
He looked at the balancing poles and could see himself falling already. His gaze drifted to the far end, and the tall poles that stood there. "A-Are you sure I-I should g-g-get on those things?" His hands already shook with fear.

Meishka looked at Masa.
Sure Masa can. Practice make perfect. We start out small, no worry.
Meishka went ahead to a medium pole and started to balance. She motioned for Masa to take a smaller one.

Shakily, Keiji stepped onto one of the lower poles, and slipped off. He looked to Meishka and at her nod climbed back on. After another similar failure, he finally managed to stand on it, albeit unsteadily.

Meishka had her eyes closed as a faint breeze floated by. Her hair was still down so it blew in the wind. She was peace and so her balance was good.
Find happy place for Masa. Think good thoughts and just let Masa go. Just simply be.
She switched balancing positions with ease a soft smile on her face.

Keiji tried to close his eyes and relax, he really did, but as soon as he started to drift into peace, he lost his balance and fell, hitting his shoulder on a post. "Umph! I-I'm sorry Meishka. I-I tried..."

Meishka ignored him and continued to balance. Masa did not need pestering. If he wanted to do this he would try again. Meishka set an example by keeping a calm facade and continuing to balance.

Keiji rubbed his shoulder and looked to Meishka. How could she do it and he couldn't?! Everyone else had no problem doing such a simple task, but he struggled... Suddenly, a voice echoed through his mind, 'Fret not, you can do great things, you need only open yourself to do them.' Shakily, he stood and tried once more to balance on the poles.

Hearing nothing but silence, Meishka peeked over at him. He was beginning to balance! She also sensed he had become calmer. She wondered what had put his mind at ease. If she knew it would help her to train him. She laughed softly and continued to balance, lazily changing positions every once in a while.

He looked down shakily and saw he was in fact balancing. "M-meishka! Meishka, look!" Unfortunately, the joy and excitement of his achievement caused him to break concentration and fall. But this time, he knew he could do it and his confidence gave him the motivation to get back up and try again. This time he lasted longer before falling.

Looking at Masa to see him in fact balancing, Meishka smiled. She admired his confidence at him trying again. A little more and he could do a bigger pole. As she switched positions to stand on one leg with one leg bent and resting on her knee, hands palm to palm in front of her she said to him, Very nice, Masa, Soon Masa can take higher pole.

Meishka kept silent and concentrated on a skill she was learning. Thinking herself successful, she let her mind float. If done right she would have cast the image of herself still balancing on the pole while not actually being there. Her real self started to sneak up on Masa.

Keiji was too busy concentrating on balancing to notice the image of Meishka balancing flicker and shimmer like a reflection in a pool of water, stirred slightly by a breeze.
