Eowyn laughed, and poked her husband. "What shall the flowers say about you, I wonder."

Luthien was nodding seriously at Arwen. "Indeed, I think we need to do some serious investigating on all of these men. What say you, Boromir?"

Faramir grinned "The flowers may call me murderer all they wish, as long as my presents have pleased you, beloved."

Boromir flushed and looked at his feet in shame.
"I... um..." and could say nothing else, his sharp wit stolen by the overwhelming sensation of being 5 years old and caught in the cookie jars. Again.

Arwen, noticing Aragorn's expression jokingly said "Interesting...perhaps I shall also have to retrace all of the places you have been and interrogate those plants as well."
[taken from AIM]

Aragorn smiled deprecatingly "I fear you will do doubt hear them call me things such as 'murderer! Evil plantkilling fiend! and UPROOTER OF CHILDREN! I was not um... precisely careful with the greenery," he pointed out, insinuating the way he crushed footshaped holes in the turf whenever he had to, the harvesting of firewood, the cutting of branches, trees to be used in making of bows and other things and the whole sale harvesting of herbs.
"Hmm, that may be interesting to listen to...tales of my 'Evil plantkilling fiend' husband." Arwen turned to Luthien "I think you are correct, Luthien...shall we take a trip and do some serious investigation?" Arwen asked laughing.

Luthien smiled sympathetically. "Worry not, Boromir." she said, patting his arm beside hers. "I doubt the flowers, or any of the other plants, could have aught but wonderful things to say in your praise."

"Thank you, Luthien." Boromir smiled slightly, wanly. He'd rather not have his childhood follies spread wide, but it seemed he had nothing to do which could prevent it!

Oh he HOPED they'd forgottten about the clumsy first kiss in the vineyard. >.< and the time his ickle cousin Lothiriel had wanted to 'marry' him and have tea parties with him, and he'd fled like his a** was on fire! D: "and the time he fell off his horse into the dungpile! D:

Oh, so many little indescretions he never wanted beautiful, PERFECT Luthien to ever know of! D:

Boromir and Luthien exit Tom's house, leaving the others to continue the little party, to go and see Thingol?
DjibrilShadow: agreed biggrin
DjibrilShadow: you start it off?
DjibrilShadow: -socurious-
DjibrilShadow: >D
BibleBaby830: Haha, okay, um...
BibleBaby830: Luthien: *rising from the table* "Tom, dear, this has been magnificent. Thank you. But, I'm afraid I must leave you for now, to go and visit with my father. I hear he has been... unhappy with my absence. Boromir, do you still wish to accompany me?"
DjibrilShadow: Boromir stood as well and smiled. "Of course, dear Luthien. Shall we go pack?"
BibleBaby830: She nodded, grinning. "Indeed we shall. Farewell, everyone."
DjibrilShadow: Tom waved goodbye to them with a hanky after packing them several days worth of provisions that would keep long.
DjibrilShadow: as well as a lighter. >] And some tens, pillows and blankets
DjibrilShadow: Truly Tom was paranoid.
DjibrilShadow: Boromr of course, volunteered to carry the packs.
BibleBaby830: Luthien thought this very chivalrous of him, but insisted that she must carry something, at least.
DjibrilShadow: After some forethougt, Boromir gave her the lightest pack with the pillows and tent-fabri and thanked her for her aid, smiling. Luthien was always so lovely...Soon, he supposed, they'd have to camp since when they'd left Tom's house it was lunch. At least t'would be comfortable. ^_^
BibleBaby830: She shouldered the pack he handed her and noticed with some amusement it's lack of weight, but said nothing. She wondered vaguely how long it would take them to reach her father's halls, but did not give it much thought, as she felt sure she was rather going to enjoy the journey there.

Quote:

DjibrilShadow: For some time they traveled through Tom's woods, enjoying the sunshine and the varied scents of greenery and flowers in bloom for that season but some hours later Boromir thought they'd have to stop for dinner, as the sun was setting. He paused in a glade with a clear stream running through it, turning to Luthien. "Mayhap you'd feel like resting here for the night?" he asked mildly
BibleBaby830: She nodded, surveying the scenery with a slight smile. "If you wish it."
DjibrilShadow: Boromir then put down his pack and began to set up the tent they'd use for the night. "I'll go get the firewood after this." He smiled slighlty. "Could you please set up dinner from the picnic basket that Tom sent with us?" he asked, curious as to what the maia had packed in it.
BibleBaby830: She nodded happily and sat down in what seemed to be the best spot for dinner, opening the picnic basket. She laughed, and pulled out a large, red and white checkered cloth, a roast chicken, two loaves of bread, and several other things. "He certainly knows how to keep everyone well-fed."
DjibrilShadow: Boromir left one of his swords by Luthien's side, sure she would know how to use it as he searched for firewood.
"Aye." Boromir agreed as he searched under the trees surrounding the glade for firewood... small fallen branches and the like. He ceertainly didn't want to upset any ents or maiar that may dwell here. Fortunately, he found enough branches in his short scouting of the glade's closest denizens to come back and start up the fire. He needen't have worried... Luthien was fine. "He feeds us well indeed. A most hospitable maiar.Would that the world was full of people like him and those four silly little hobbits. Twould be much more peaceful and happy methinks, if people valued comfort more than gems.""
BibleBaby830: She laughed. "Yes it would." She patted the cloth nearby her, beckoning him to come and sit, and handed him a large amount of food. She poured a little wine, from a bottle she had just extracted from the basket and took a sip. "Although..." she said thoughtfully. "I suppose jewlery inlaid with biscuits would hold up less well, and maybe we would tire of mushrooms eventually."
DjibrilShadow: "Ah, boromir pointed out. "But at least we wouldn't have people killing each other over them. >] Since after all, food IS a renewable resource."
DjibrilShadow: He ate quickly, neatly and efficiently as any army officer would have. "Think about it." he said, after he finished his food. "Instead of using gold coins as transactions, we could simply barter so and so amount of cookies for things like... warm blankets."
DjibrilShadow: "and since cookies don't KEEP well at all, there will be no hoarding. biggrin All food will be eaten at the end of the day." -so amused-
DjibrilShadow: "wine would probably be the highest priced commodity though with desserts coming a close second!" he laughed at the idea he'd had of people with stalls piled high with food. "Alas tis just a dream."
BibleBaby830: She smiled. "But a nice one." she said, also finishing her meal and began to clean up. "I suppose we should get some rest. My father will be pleased with our arrival." she paused in packing things away and looked at him solemnly. "I'm glad you came with me Boromir. Thank you. It would have been a lonely journey otherwise."
DjibrilShadow: "It is a pleasure to accompany you, milady." Boromir smiled as he helped her clean up the mess and went to wash his hands. "I'll take the right of the tent, you'll take the left?" he asked, curiously, having set up their pillows and rolled pallets within the tent earlier and having started burning some insect repelling leaves upon the fire the moment he returned to their tent.
BibleBaby830: Luthien nodded. "That sounds fine." She sat by the edge of the stream, dangling her feet in for a moment, staring up and the sky.
BibleBaby830: *at the sky
DjibrilShadow: "Then shall we go to bed milady?" Boromir asked after a few moments of.. dare I say it, sneaking behind her back to get together a bouquet of flowers. Which he then lay on her side of the tent, hoping she hadn't seen him! Or heard him but given she was an elf and they had such keen hearing that really wasn't likely.
DjibrilShadow: XD
BibleBaby830: Finally, she got up, drying her feet off in the grass, and looking around, wondering where Boromir had gotten to. 'Really, I mustn't let my mind wander like that.' she scolded herself and entered the tent. Seeing him laying there grinning and looking a little sneakily pleased with himself {if i may presume to place such a look upon his countenance} she laughed and sat upon her heels. "And what is the meaning of this, I wonder?"
