It was her turn to look embarrassed. During that argument she had completely forgotten that anyone else was in the room. "I'm sorry you had to hear that... and don't worry, I'm sure he won't stay mad." Hopefully. Yet then she tilted her head in a questioning fashion then merely nodded as he told her to remind him to tell her something important.

"Nelphean, she reverted back to her original form. A cat. You know this means you are a-"
"That's simple, now how can I fix it? How can I get my sweet Bastet back?"
Aurora turned back to Bastet. "Fix how?"
"Its not me he is mad at, its himself." Nelphean guessed, as the creature didn't answer his finale question. Nelphean thought about the implications, perhaps he should keep that quiet. He didn't want to keep it a secret, he will tell Rakka, just not right now.

He stood outside, staring at the sky.
"Den mother..sorry..we...are not ourselves yet still. we feel too many emotions, too many at once. Cymarron has not asserted himself in that place yet."
He continued to stare up, watching the clouds.
"So many emotions. so much pain and sorrow and lost love. and our own lack of such company as many have. Nailah and Aura have lost thier mates. the flase elf lost his. Cymarron has lost his, and been through the loss of countless others. we are lonely, frustrated, angry. We wanted to hunt the false elf to Hunt. to lose ourselves in the false elf's pain."
He turned to them.
"Bastet once talked to us about Egypt..what kind of collar's did they wear there?"

She nodded. "Most of us are." Admission to her own guilt. Aura gave a sigh and clasped her hands behind her back, one hand fidgeting with the bracelet on her right wrist, but being careful not to pull it too far. Her attention then pulled to Cymarron...and her heart sank once again just as it did for Nelphean. But she quickly too him upon his question. "Egyptian style collars? They're very elaborate, most made of gold or bronze, inlaid with stone depending on social status and class and the like, often engraved with hieroglyphs. If worn right, they can be quite comfortable actually."

Bastet watched the short exchange and brought one paw to scratch behind her ear, "Um, fix. Yes well, it was ancient egyptian magic that turn me to the cat woman, made me eternal, and allowed me to regernarate. As far as I can tell those enchantments are all gone. Since I am back in my original form, I can be enchanted again with some similar magic that can feed off of my magical abilities then I should be ok..."
The old woman continued the pursuit until she came upon the Manor. After following Bastet's trail right up to the front door, she shoved it open and with her ancient wrinkly eyes looked about the first room, seeing a wolf and a man holding a cat. A shaky impolite voice came from her chapped lips covered by the veil, "Where is the creature woman Bastet?"
She lost her logical thought at the sight of the woman and jumped from Nelphean's arms to bolt up to her. She sunk her teeth through clothe and into the woman's leg, maneuvering away from the cane she was almost beat with.
"Away cat, or I will sick my dogs on you." The woman had bad eyesight and did not know that the cat attacking was Bastet.

Tyler blinked at her. "Who are you?" He tilted his head and said suspiciously "I've never seen you here before."It was true. Miss Niah had told him many lived in the manor but he thought he had met them all. Maybe she knew what had happened. But maybe he couldn't trust her either.
Nailah walked up to a vendor and finally sold one of her blankets for a few coins. She held the gold in her hand and wondered what she should do with it. Finally she made her way to the tavern/inn and made her way to a table in the back room. People turned to stare at her but she ignored them. Her appearance had stopped causing her concern long before now. She sat down and ordered a tankard of ale, figuring alcohol was the best thing for her right now. She sipped the disgustingly bitter drink and watched the men around her act like...men. She shook her head and conitnued to sip. A few patrons had glanced in her general direction and she was almost certain one of them was going to come this way. Great. The last thing she wanted or needed right now. The tavern got noisier and noisier as men became more and more uninihibited by the drink they consumed. She shook her head and took another sip. "Drunken pigs. You're all addicted. Maybe you should get some help." She herself didn't realize the irony of her own statement and blissfully unaware she fed her own addiction. Her thoughts wandered to Tyler and she wondered if her disappearance had been discovered yet....

"Go get Ke'Nel." Nelphean told his daughter, who simply vanished at the command. Nelphean rose, and walked over to the woman, and picked up the angry cat, and wraped her in his cloak like a baby. "My familiar seems to be a little angry with you, I am sorry she bit you." Nelphean looked around the room. No reason to lie, "I have not seen Bastet for a great time, she was with me one moment, and gone the next. She ran off into the wilderness, Never to be seen by my eyes to this hour." Nelphean told the truth, he had not seen the lovely woman Bastet for quite some time now.
"May I ask who you are, and why you seek my love?"
He wanted my memories? Nelphean tilted his head, Or he wanted Nelphean's charm... He would have been badly misfortunate if he wanted that from me. Nelphean stood silently, watching the conversation, calmly ready to beat the cat down should he become an aggressor. Save a life, feel free to take that life. Nelphean frowned at his own loathing, he was jealous of the cat too now... Damn, next thing he will discover is he is jealous of every male within a hundred feet of this place... He looked at the ground, feeling rather sheepish, which he has frequently as of late.

They came again, in his sleep. Something that as long as his dreams were brief would not reach into him completely nor break through to the surface. But no one could keep that cycle going forever, real fatigue would set in soon once more, followed by complete exhaustion. He was awake not half hour after hed drifted out, and needed to leave. The rest of the brief time was lost as he moved drowsily through the halls trying to regain his awareness. Once in a while hed caught people moving about, but they didnt register in his mind at the time. Now though as his mind finally returned to him, he stared at the few people near the front of the manor, half hidden from sight and behing them as they spoke, not really listening but watching only.

She was lifted and wrapped in her elf's cloak, her limbs entangled so she could not use them. Refusing to rip through his cloak or potentially claw him, she settled down and kept an ear forward to listen to them, though she did spare one hiss at the woman.
"Hmph," She straightened her stance and leaned again on her cane. Ancient eyebrows raised to shift the wrinkles in her face at the mention of Bastet being his love. "No matter, she is only a cat..." A measured gaze sized up the elf when he spoke, "It appears that your story matches up nicely then. I have evidence that she was at my house and wanted to know what the hell she wanted, bugging me again..." Her words were bitter as she stood hunched over, "Why would your love run from you while telling you nothing?"
Shame and anger mingled together, she had not told him what was wrong because she had not known herself until it was late. She suddenly wanted to bite the woman again. Since she had not helped in the other matter but she could help in this one, instead she was only making things worse. The old woman owed her... and said she would help but somehow always evaded. Damn hag. Bastet mewed up at Nelphean, she had done nothing bad but could not tell him so.

"Cymarron would like to see some of these collars. they hold an interest. Bastet once offered to teach Cymarron to read and write as well. perhaps Cymarron should take her up on the offer. And where is the little Ecara?"
As usual, once he vented, Cymarron was right as rain again, and moved to the 'false' Nelphean.
"We apologize again for our actions. we did not know you came to help get us...can we see your glowing fang?"

Nelphean smiled, "She has a free spirit and a courageous heart. Confused by conflicting emotions, She took flight to collect her thoughts, or to try an piece together a puzzle. I believe taht she was just afraid to fall into my arms, and never be free of me, until the end of her years." Nelphean siad calmly. "What do you wish of my love, fair maiden?"
This reminded Nelphean of that time he made all his human friend embarassed by flirting with a very old {gypsie?}... He smiled wormly at the woman, friendly but not inviting.
He was shocked, the cat certainly had an imbalance in his system, "Rakka isn't a toy, and was trusted to me." Nelphean wasn't sure about handing the weapon over to the creature so soon, "Maybe after we have eaten something." He was trying to be friendly, trying to be kind. Nelphean looked at Aurahkah with a slight smile, his eyes begging for help.

That was not exactly true... she was reverting to a cat and thinking in a primitive manner so that was confusing... and his own reactions had confused her even more. She did not fear Nelphean. "I wanted your help old hag, your help out of this situation. But you are such a stubborn old grudging woman who refuses to help me when you promised you would, and who needs to keep her dogs on chains. I almost regret what I did for you."She continued on even though they did not understand her, it helped to ramble some of it out flicking her tail angrily. Was he flirting with the hag?
The woman recovered from a blush at the word maiden. Not sense long ago... A harsh chuckle came from the parched throat, "It seems that she would be the type confused by emotions. She feared getting close to anyone and has a sliver of a heart at best. It seems that she only has feeling for those in love, though I do not know why. Good luck with her," She snorted ungracefully, uncaring. "I want to know why she was in my house, why she left such a rude note, riled up my dogs, and if she wants something so I can repay this debt and she can no longer hold it over me." Her tone was bitter, though she was really still grateful to Bastet, she was cranky for the rudeness and having to follow the creature out here. Also, still slightly angry over the lecture.
The cat was mortified, the woman was going to say too much and make it all sound wrong.

Aurahkah thought for a moment. Down in her vault she did indeed have a few, some she had even worn herself. A hand touched to her own neck for a moment before she nodded to them. "Certinally,I'll go get what I have. And to be honest, I haven't seen Ecara since last night. I assume her and Eclipse are still sleeping in their room." One hand on both of their shoulders. "I think Nelphean has a good idea. Why don't you two go on to the kitchen, I'll meet you there." Stepping back inside she jumped slightly as she caught sight of partially hidden Saradin. "You look rather frazzled, not sleeping again?" She left in in rhetorical fashion. Turning her attention she noticed Nelphean talking with someone and at that moment, she didn't want to meet new people. So into a shadow walk she threw herself, reappearing a few minutes later in the spot that she had left. Again she looked to Saradin. "You should join us in the kitchen, drink some coffee." Smiling to him, she herself made her way to the kitchen, where set two Egyptian style collars on the table.
One was made of finely polished bronze. It was etched with hieroglyphs on its surface, speaking out its intended meaning. It was studded with blood rubies, in all four small rubies. In the collars center was a deeply etched eye of Ra, the center of the eye being a blood ruby. The other was gold also polished like the other. However this one was of a different kind of nature than that of protection. This one merely had an ankh etched into it, along with a few choice incantations and phrases to accompany the main symbol.Only the ankh itself was decorated with stones of turquoise. Both had fairly simple latches in the back. These were the only two she would present to him. This was her deal and terms, so she got to pick. He would bear no collar that even had a hint of the word slave to it.
Aura then looked to her company already in the kitchen. "Kitchen, occupied as ever."
