"Yeah, they did." Haze said. "And it looks like some people are already here to play." He pinted to the smal group of boy in the middle of the feild.
One of them, looking about 19, tunred around and almost instaly reconised Makoto and called her over.

Makoto waved back and with her other hand grabbed Haze's hand. "Let's go!" She said eagerly as a child at a carnival, a smile lighting her face.

Haze laughed as he was dragged into the feild.
"Hey Makoto!" said nine-teen-year-old. "Havn't seen you in a while, what's up?"

Makoto smiled at Haze before turning to the other boy. "Nothin' really, how have you been? I went for a trip and came back to visit for a while." She said without giving away anything related to being a reaper.

The boy saw Makoto look at Hazedeth before back at him. "Right..." he said sceptically. "This your boyfreind Makoto?"

Makoto giggled. "Yea, you could say that." She said looking at Hazedeth again with a smile. "So, can we play some ball or what?" She said excitedly.

The boy nodded. "Sure. They're some extra gloves and bats over there." he said.

Makoto smiled. "Which positions are open?" She asked as she started walking to get a glove.

"You want me to take rightfeild, Mako?" Haze asked.

Makoto smiled to Haze. "Ok, sure brings back memories huh?" She said as she handed Haze a glove and put one on herself. "I wonder if I can still pitch as fast as before."

Makoto whispered in Haze's ear. "When a ball comes up as a pop fly try to get under it without jumping, run instead that may help." She smiled and walked out toward the pitcher's mound.

Makoto stood in the center of the pitcher's mound and looked at everybody on the field, recognizing most of the faces. The toward the catcher and the batter in the box, gripping the ball tightly in her hand she brought the ball to the mit. "Here we go." She mutters to herself. Makoto swings her arm back and leg forward as she throws it toward the catcher's glove.

When the ball flew out of Makoto's hand, Haze watched it as it whistled through the air toward the baters mound.
Then it happened. The batter slamm the ball with the wooden bat and it went flying towards the right feild. Rember Makotos adivce he ran after it and jumped at the last second whne it was near the gate, catching it without jumping 10 feet in the air this time
"Good job Mako!" Haze called out. It wasn't ment to be an insult, it was actualy a compliment. She manged to throw a good pitch, even though it was still hit, after all these years. He then threw the ball back at so she could pitch again.
