Goblin looks nervously around at the tavern, and leans back in her chair, laughing nervously
"Oh, no reason in particular. Jus' that there was this big homicidal b*****d in 'ere before looking for you. He shook John up pretty bad. He stomped off, though. We didn' get his name."

*His eyes shielded from the bright beaming sun by his well-worn wide brimmed hat, Captain Kurisutofa strolled down the main road, where only a few months back, proud provokians had fought and died for their island.
Passing the Armoury & Smithy, the General Store, Saint Calico Medical Facility: (formerly run by the late Doctor Morgan), the Governor's Mansion... Jack came to the gallows and rapped on them with his nuckles*
'..Knock on wood...'
*Continuing his jounrey, he passed by the Archive Buiilding & the Hall of Prestige. Once beyond the main part of the town, he came to the end of his morning's walk... the Tavern. Puffing on his pipe as he walked up to the door, he placed the pipe between his lips as he opened the heavy wooden door.
As the sun poured into the darkend commons hall, Kurisutofa walked about drawing back the curtains, allowing some sobering light into the place. As if the darkness were scared of the pure heavenly light, the shadows dissapeared into the depths of the bar, and all was light. Righting the table that was tossed on it's side up against the far wall, Jack looked at the angered, likely sober Governor.*
'Tsk tsk, Miss Gunn. Don't let your temper get the best of ye'. Have a drink on me. Though, be careful of how much you drink. Our rations are beginning to run awefully low. We've not sent a supply ship to the Mainland in ages...
With Lord Morgan and the 'Rescue' gone to the devil himsel', we'll not be likely to get another shipment anytime soon, unless you comission a ship & her crew to do such. But there be no such small craft in the harbour that could make the cruise in such a small amount of time. We'll see it righted eventually.'
*Taking his usual seat next to the already stoked fireplace, the old sea captain removed his hat and sat it on the table next to the chair. Looking about the room...*
"Be there anyone here to take an order for me' breakfast? Where be Merlin?... Ardrick?'

Particularly intriqued by the entrance and words of Capt. Kurisutofa, duPree relaxes slightly and leans a little more of his weight toward the back of his chair.

*Puffing large smoke rings, they drift about the ceiling and disperse into mistiness, and nothing more. Sitting up from his relaxed position in his overstufted chair, Kurisutofa looks about the room. Seeing no one stirring to assist their customers, he sat up.*
"Right then. If you want it done right, do it yourself, as it's so commonly said. "
*Rising from his place, he strolled merrily to the bar, flipped up the counterhatch and closed it behind him. Dissappearing into the kitchen, the sound of pots and pans being harrassed could be heard. With something like a flashbang, the stove was lit, and the heavy aroma of bacon wafted throughout the hall. Sizzling seaped into the ears of all present*
"Anyone for some orange juice? We could do with some anti-scurvy rations about this poxy island. So, while I'm slaving away over a hot stove, would anyone care for some breakfast? I work on requests."

TABFrom her place slumped int the chair Angevin hesitated "Non. Merci." One gloved hand dropped down to rest on her daughter's head and the other was held in a fist atop her belly. Now that the rage was over the governor was in a moody state focusing her stare at the wall.

*Poking his head out of the take-out window, smoke whirling about his face.*
"How about the wee' one? She's a half-starved little scarecrow, to be sure, Madame. Might her little lordship care for some chocolate-chip griddlecakes? I'll put whipped cream on top of 'em... and whatever she'd like to drink. Chocolate milk, perhaps?"
*Smiling at the little girl, he flipped his eyepatch up, revealing the tatoo that he'd had done on his eyelid when he was in the Orient. A Raven stood there ruffling it's wings and disappeared as he opened his eye, revealing the revovling and rotating compass rose/swiss watch glasseye that sat where his eye once had been. Flipping the patch back into place, he stood there awaiting an answer.*
"So, little lass. What will it be?"
*Looking up at Miss Gunn, he winked*
"It's on the house."

"Okay, so one chocolate-chip cookie with cream & two brown cows, coming right up."
*Disappearing once more into the kitchen, seven minutes passed by. After what sounded like a war with the stove from the other room, Jack emerged with a platter in one hand and clothe napkins drapped over the other arm. Approaching the table they were at...*
"Alright, that's 1 breakfast platter for litte Miss Swivel Gunn..'
*Set the dish before her and sprayed the whipped cream ontop.*
'and 2 choclate milks for the Gunn-deck. Bon Appe'tit."
*Going to his chair next to the fireplace, Kurisutofa took what was left on the tray and ate his breakfast as well.*

How much will that be?" DuPree sits up. "Come now, miss! The man is at his food!" Rising and starting toward the bar, but facing the Captain, he says, "If you wouldn't mind, sir, allow me to get the drinks for the miss and meself. It's on me, an' you won't have to bother yourself with moving from yur place."

Jill gives DuPree a puzzled look but nods and puts her money away.
"who are you, being so enthusiastic and kind?" she lets out a small giggle and spins a little on the bar stool, watching the other events in the pub

Taipa watches as the tall jolly old man comes into the pub, hears him describe the lack of supplies, and all other thoughts are erased from her mind with two words. Lord Morgan? Her father? Her her father is a lord? And it had sounded as though he has a ship too, no less. The possibilities overwhelm her young mind, too much too soon, and she can merely sit stunned and watch the man enter the kitchen and begin cooking. Who is this old man, and what more can he tell her? Taipa tries to stand and walk over, but she seems not to be able to find her legs. She attempts to speak, but her words become a frustrated sob as the reality of the situation sinks in.
He's... dead then.
With an offhand comment by a total stranger, Taipa Morgan has become an orphan. How lonely it feels, even lonelier than abandonment. She curls up in her chair and begins to cry to herself, cuddling the black cat. The cat plays with her green hair in an attempt to distract her attention, to no avail. For a 15 year old girl, no matter how experienced in the ways of the world, times like this require a parent. She has none.
