It's better to just make up your own fictional substance for this kind of thing since other substances, fictional or not, tend to already have well defined properties~

Phil Srobeighn Two questions: What exactly should I do now that we're not a SG organization? and What is the status of the Disney "Theme Parks" now? 1) You may maintain your employment with the Shadow Government (I assumed you would) and then feed us valuable information regarding enemy movements and political situations, or, you can resign and join us in the big fight. You are the master of your own fate. 2) Still in SG control, I believe. They were never really MSU owned facilities.

I like option one. I mean, if anyone can work undercover, it would be me. If I'm found out, I'll just erase some SG minds. But I won't even let them get that far, as part of mind control is making sure that someone's optical memory of seeing you sneaking out with sensitive files and maps.
If only I had some of Thad's frictionless ninja clothing, I would be nigh invisible.

And no, Phil, you can't have my clothes. ninja Mind control or nothe sort of stuff that would let him manipulate me like that without me being aware of whether or not these were my own thoughts is pretty much all you could ever ask for in a mind control network thing set-up. On the bright side if he's controlling me into saying things and you tell me I'm wrong then none of it's my fault anyway. There's no way for me to know what's a real memory of mine or just a fixed story to cover up some major event so I am now blameless with all mistakes of mine defaulting back to Phil- and when people blame him for something he tends to erase their memory of it so to sum that all up- If Phil is mind controlling me I am always right, unless of course you like having your memories scrambled.

No, you're always wrong when you're letting yourself be mind controlled. It means that your willpower is too low, and that's a weakness that you can change if you try. Also, I do not condone the erasure of or tampering with minds. That's the kind of s**t that vampires do. The mind is what makes a person who they are. If you alter it, you're damaging the person in a way that's more reprehensible and disgusting than any physical injury. If you want to strike out, then attack them or hit them with magic. ninja

Sometimes I hit them so hard with my hammer I erase their mind. Usually I just kill them though.

That's just the mind control talking. To think that willpower alone can distinguish between reality and an equally realistic set of experiences is madness-
but then again madness is actually quite accurate about which set of experiences it decides are correct so acting against which one seems right would have a high rate of successfully finding reality.
And your description of alterring someone's mind doesn't fit very well with willpower negating mind control either, as you would have to either make use of your willpower in response to the mind control (though if they have alterred your mind it would be a simple task to either lessen your willpower or make you unaware that you have been affected by mind control,) or you would have to constantly put forth the effort to repell outside forces, and while that may be possible for you all of us humans don't have that kind of stamina- we'd have to stop doing anything else if we devoted that much effort to keeping things from influencing us.
But besides all of that pretty much all of everyone-around-here's experience with mind control shows that it is essentially just a fresh layer of paint over what was there before, having little to no effect on personality and only really having any affect when trying to recall this or that event.
And lastly, I'm aparently always wrong anyway so what does it matter?
